Review:

It's the 4th Shiva Chandra album and I must say I absolutely

LOVE this album!!! I normally don't like Minimalistic stuff, but this is

different!! He uses véry hypnotising beats in the complete album, and on those

fat beats you have many psychedelic sounds that make you fly and don't forget

the hidden melodies in this album...!! Beware... you have to listen véry loud

to this album on a good soundsystem to understand it!! The songs are all

rather slow (135-140 BPM) exept the last one which is Ambient!! But the songs

are great for during a morning session or the start of a party (I've seen him

in VooV and his live-act kicked ass...)!! And don't forget the fantastic

artwork...!! Best songs are 1,2 (!!!!! Specially that melody at the end...),

4,5,8!! But they're all the same style!! I give this album 9/10 and from now

on Daniel Vernuft is one of my favourite artists!!

Killer album!

His 4th in a row, and i can`t believe what i hear... the beats are great and

the sounds... fresh... like something new and innovative.

Creator (Rmx) and Pir T Diquil are the best tracks on the album...

8.5/10

really beautiful sounds here, i mean REALLY well crafted and original sounds.

but the music itself is soo boring and repetitive. i can't say that i don't

like it, but i just can't take too much of it at once. a couple of tracks, and

i want to put something else on. for that, i'll give it 5/10 (on a good day)

I really like this album, but i have to agree with alexg1029, i wouldn't listen

to it all at once. The Kickdrum is almost the same throughout the whole album.

I guess this guy is more about the sounds, because they are really, really

well done, which makes this album so cool. I'll give it 8/10.

Yep, to me its not a home listening album, although great for a sunny mid

morning stomp... because of the fact that the whole thing sounds very similar

in places... not just the kick but the same bass line rythms (that very

germanic oommm--phaa oommm--phaaa) through out. More smooth and dancy than

Lunaspice, and still very enjoyable with top production... good buy.

This album is an absolute masterpiece. But it needs to be heard loud. Obviously

Daniel is some kind of sound fetishist, and his production is basically the

best I have ever heard, as good as KoxBox. I love the album, but it doesn't

prepare you for hearing his live set. I saw him live last month in Tokyo, and

it was hands-down one of the best sets I have ever seen. (And for any female

fans out there, the guy looks like a god--my girlfriend couldn't stop staring

at him!) Perfect psychedelia--a steady driving force surrounded by natural

organic sounds. Obviously much of his music is patterned after natural

structures present in nature (the guy takes wicked sound samples and

incorporates them into music), so it sounds much more REAL than a lot of more

synthetic-sounding stuff out there. It's like a magnified, digitalized

portrait of the microscopic realm of the natural world of sound--music made by

someone with a deep appreciation of the pyschedelic experience who also

happens to be a production genius. This is not minimal, not repetive, not

boring. This music is divine. But you need a big stack of very accurate

speakers, a beautiful sky, and a drop or a cube...

Album-10/10; Live 12/10

Every track on this album is amazing, except for "Pir T Diquil" which i find

boring. Every track taken alone is 8.5/10 to 9/10. "Creator" is 9.5/10. But

when you listen to the entire cd the same format and the same sounds become

annoying. Get this and listen to 2-3 tracks at a time for maximum enjoyment.

Overall score - 7.5/10, because the tracks are excellent but the cd as a whole

is a little boring. Bom! - Raven

I assume I'm the only one that doesn't like this album, Shiva Chandra can

produce better stuff, but the album got a few good songs like Shaukelstuhl and

Microphone. Unfortunately, this album does not appeal me at all 3/10

This is the album of y2k for me. What can anyone say? It doesn't get much

better than this..that pounding bass line rhythm are as good as it gets.

Imagine dancing to this in the mid-morning sun..mind control music taking you

to another dimension. Just made for nice summer days in Scotland! Respect and

BOM. Gav

I love this kind of minimalistic stuff. The only thing is that the bassline is

very repetitive -- if you concentrate on it, it's in fact the same in all the

tracks. Other than the bassline, the background sounds are very creative.

Excellent for dancing, esp. track 3

"why should i work saw hard and make great tracks like in lunaspice and

positve if nobody appreciate (6 out of 10) when i can get lazy by doing heavy

bass and some farting in the backround and at the same time make evryone

happy. comeon pepole this album is bullshit in compare to his music before,i
