Alien Nation Part 3 02. Troll Review: I knew this had to happen someday, the day when I wasn't blown away with a record associated with any of the X-Dream guys. This is a sad day for me. There's nothing special about this 12" for me at all. There's no real advance or progression over parts 1&2 that I can see. 'Troll' sounds pretty much like one of the worst moments for an X-Dream type record I've heard. Sort it out guysm you can do better. There's no boundary pushing and very little emotion. Guest Mascok Posted April 22, 2000 Share Posted April 22, 2000 i disagree with glabalsteez. i think its a wonderful vinyl. not the same style as in "Urban Alien". but more morning progressive style then dark and scary style. i liked the b side more then the a side. Troll is a great track, though it was written in the early 99's and every dj with a bit respect for him self, has this track.. so if you are a "party animale" you might know this track. gotta love the lead melody in here, really nice and fun atmosphere in this track. if you are a big X-Dream Fan and open minded to new styles, get this vinyl.. 6/10.. With hindsight we can say that's really not the case at all... Troll became a really big anthem on dancefloors everywhere, and gradually it converted me. A quality vinyl, hard to find!
