I think you're getting Andy Young and Dave Bagg mixed up there! They used to live literally round the corner from me when OOOD was based in Oxford; after The Secret stopped doing quite so much Dave and I and our mate Si had a project called The Class A Team doing hard house for a little bit - never got anything released though. The Secret were always more on a hard dance tip than goa, although they did have quite a big crossover appeal - Gorgeous I think is my favourite track from them. I saw Andy at Glade last year, but I have no idea what he and Dave are doing these days.

That was how they wanted to do it... Sound Escape is based in Canada so getting a two-way audio conversation going of the quality either of us could get in our own studios is very difficult.

You know too much... I must kill you all...

You can hear some clips here: http://www.voiceofcod.com
If you like what you hear you can buy the tracks here: http://www.organicrecords.net and click on "VISIT THE DIGITAL SHOP".

Q: When will Moni get her internet connection fixed at home? I miss talking to her.

Sure, that's my name.
Luckily I find it relatively easy to explain myself in text form, and it has seemed to me that you find the same given the quality of the English you use in your posts - they contain unambiguous statements of belief and behaviour that I (and others) disagree with vehemently.
What do you do for a living? Do you make anything? If so, give me one for free, or tell me where I can find one so I can steal it.

I reckon the less pressure you put on the guy, and the less you expect something specific like Twisted 2 or Lone Deranger 2 (as if any artist worthy of the title - and of your fandom - could be satisfied just to give his audience 'more of the same') the greater the chances are that you'll appreciate whatever he does finally release for what it is.

Use LAME to encode. It's recognised as the best encoder.
Or I can send you the front-end and codec if you like, it's only small.

I was took part in a blind test on Isratrance... three files, one 192Kbps, one 320Kbps and one WAV. I think I recognised one of them - and it wasn't the WAV. Codecs these days are much much better than they were even two years ago, and although I think it would be easier to tell the difference over a high-quality PA I'm now no longer point-blank refusing to play 320s out.

High bitrate MP3s (255Kbps and above) are to all intents and purposes indistinguishable from CD audio.
Or maybe that's not the aspect of quality you were talking about...

Steady on, old chap.

Hmmm.... that's really interesting It's given me some ideas but now is not the time for them unfortunately. It's a shame there isn't a forum function that will remind you to read a certain thread again in, say, two months time

It was great when I ot it way back when it was released, but IMO not the best in psy dub, but the best work I have yet heard from Ott, his album was wayyy to muc same of the same for me, maybe 2 songs grabbed me but the rest just irritated me, would like to hear his new stuff to see if he has developed more, I thin his first album was kinda rushed to get it out there during the popularity of the In Dub release.
According to the man himself, he was just writing music and realised at one point he had an album's worth. Blumenkraft doesn't sound rushed at all to me, in fact I don't think he's capable of releasing something he's not 100% happy with. His brain just doesn't work that way. If it did, don't you think we'd have had a follow-up already?
Actually it's me that's the crappy friend; I haven't been to visit him and Zoe for months. Besides, I want to support my friends in what they do - that's why I bought HiD - and the Tsunami CD, despite having two tracks on it myself.

I heard it for the first time when I bought it a couple of months ago. It's not bad.

Cangrejo you contradict yourself, confuse things by saying "this part of what I say isn't a joke"... "this part was actually a joke and you took it seriously"... "most artists spend all their money on drugs so I'm going to download their tunes" - dude, I don't even drink; any other crass generalisations you want to make?
You have made me lose interest in anything you have to say. I don't mind saying that your opinion is worthless to me - not least because you seem to have problems deciding what it is from moment to moment.
Oh, and I have no intention of asking other people not to listen to my music, in fact this is the first time I've done it. But then, this is the first time I've had a conversation like this with anyone who is proud to say that they enjoy the fruits of other's creativity without offering anything in exchange.

The simplest way of doing it is to record in mono, from the input to which you have attached the microphone. When you subsequently play back the mono file, it will come out of both speakers. Alternatively (and here I'm guessing that Audacity is a sound editor), there should be a way of copying audio from one channel of a stereo soundfile to the other.
As for your Reason problems, I'm looks as though it doesn't like some aspect of the soundfile you recorded. I don't think Reason will read 32-bit soundfiles so make sure you're saving at 24- or 16-bit.

When you buy bread, a proportion of what you spend goes back to the farmer who grew the wheat. So yes, you do 'feed the wheat'.
Do you like drinking milk? Then feed the fucking cow.
If you don't value what I - and people like me - do with our time then please, feel free not to listen to it. You are not special, and we won't miss you.

Audiorealism Bassline for me, all the way.

Those who think they can milk the cow without feeding it, shouldn't be a farmer.
