Go for it Reger, you write the shop and I'll encode the tracks. I've got OOOD.NET but no website for it so it could be a perfect match Make sure it looks really good though - no OOOD website is going to be made out of plain HTML...

Ok. We don't get paid because Flying Records, who were distributing the album on behalf of Cabbage, went bankrupt not long after the album was released. The administrators sold the stock on to recover some of Flying's debts, and - obviously - the benefit of that sale did not go to us but to Flying's creditors. Subsequent sales are therefore made without any obligation on the new stock-owner's behalf to pay royalties.

Mike sent me a different screenshot of the same project that shows a little more. Otto - you see all those MIDI tracks (14-36)? Each one is connected to a different VSTi. And let's just say that our Mike A isn't shy of using a VST plugin or two.

Ok well anyone who wants one should PM me. It might take me a little while to get round to doing it though (ask technosomy )

Apparently there are some out there somewhere grr but when people ask me for them I burn them here in the Stooodio. I re-designed the artwork a while ago, too.

hahahahahahahahaha
Matt Coldrick was session and touring guitarist for R&B artist Gabrielle and Neil Cowley played keyboards with an early incarnation of the Brand New Heavies (I saw him do some really quite excellent funky blues improv with the house band in a restaurant in Cape Town in 1997)... so yes, not musically talented at all.
Not.

No, that didn't happen at all. Honest. Do I look like someone who would have an extended PM conversation with someone then not be sure of their username when I cleared my Inbox? Do I? DO I???
No, didn't think so.
<ahem>
As for aLIVE, if you buy it from anyone other than us direct we don't get a penny...

Ask him from me what key he'd like his bassline in.

...when I cleaned out my inbox recently. Please get in touch.

this imo is such a hypocrisy. using imo you can say whatever you like.
thats why i put it on my signature.
anw,i am hoping the new cosmosis album to be good.i now know it will not be goa but i still have enough faith in me to expect something psychedelic and exciting, not just a an ordinary full-on release.
bilbo you have a reputation to defend here, dont let us down, whatever style you release, make it GOOD!
I'm sure he'll make the best album he can. 'Good' is a very subjective concept.

Don´t be so ridiculous. How can a whole track be a climax? E=mc2 remember? no?... oh never mind...
I actually started to read and take on board some of the comments here as I thought it may be useful feedback. But now I realize that attitude was totally unrealistic as this forum appears to be composed mainly of pathological whingers.
Just look at this case:
Oopie hasn´t even heard one second of the track and yet he has already started to moan about it !
That to me looks like a seriously (pathologically) negative attitude that nothing will make a difference to.
So, I am back off to make music for the people that I have always made music for:
The people on the dancefloor at trance parties.
And Oopie, thanks for indirectly pointing out to me that I should be spending my time making music and not posting on pointless internet forums.
Cheers,
Bill
Hate to say it guys, but...
...told you so.
Good luck with the tracks Bill, see you about somewhere no doubt

I remember allright... except it wasn't one of mine - what do you think I am, stupid or something? Dick Trevor gave me his dreads when he had his head shaved after the Rock Bitch tour; I've been using them as cat bedding ever since. Well, mostly as cat bedding; when I go out partying I always bring a short length of Green Nun dreadlock with me to give to give away when asked - I'd be as bald as a coot if I gave my own dreads away every time I was asked for one.

Depending on what is wrong with the track, you'd be surprised how much can be done to make something sound listenable, and for sure there are some 'shiny turds' out there. However the fact remains that the better the pre-master is, the better result good post-processing will achieve. As for not having heard the pre-master first, experienced ears can recognise overcompression or inappropriate EQ...

That is, as they say, the puppy.

Here's some mixes from me and the OOOD guys:
OOOD/Voice of Cod/Unconscious Collective studio mix
I'm afraid the lads aren't into tracklists - mention them to Stevie and he starts looking confused and worried but here's the tracklist (with start times) for the OOOD/VoC/UC mix, which contains some of the tracks we've released over the past few years:
1: Voice of Cod - It's Just A Ride - 00:00
2: OOOD - I'm Funk Definer - Inner Trip Mix - 7' 52
3: Voice of Cod - The Art of Funk Shui - 15' 01
4: Benefaktor - Neptune Driver (Chris's Mix) - 22' 03
5: Unconscious Collective - Fluorostani Transcendance - 31' 40
6: Voice of Cod - We Are Free - 40' 15
7: OOOD - Logos - 47' 09
8: OOOD - Heliopause - 53' 36
9: OOOD - Kundalini Rising - 63' 27
Hope you like them!

Hmm... in the early/mid 80s members of Colourbox collaborated with Ivo, the head of 4AD Records, on "It'll End In Tears", the first album by This Mortal Coil. However I've just checked the album artwork and the Colourbox members credited are Steven and Martyn Young, so I guess I was wrong. There is also the possibility that I'm talking about a completely different Colourbox, although I do remember some of the stuff they were doing back then could be considered a definite precursor to some of today's electronic music.
All this notwithstanding I would urge everyone to do whatever they can to obtain at least the first two albums by This Mortal Coil, in particular the second one, "Filigree and Shadow", as they contain much of the most beautiful music written anywhere, by anyone, at any time.
