  1. There's a lot of good stuff in there for sure but also some glaring omissions - sidechaining (although this will be in an update to v4 at some point) and group re-ordering/routing restrictions, both basic needs of mine but ya... TBH though if you're considering moving from Reason there's nothing crucial in C4 that SX3 is missing IMO.

  2. Well, SOMEBODY using that alias exists, AND she releases music. On commercial compliations. Joke or not doesn't matter.

Hey Cinos... just so you know:

The joke is on people believing she exists... Psynina is the pseudonym of Thomas who runs Psytropic record label. In itself a pseudonym is nothing special - many people do it - but Thomas has expended much energy in trying to convince people that Nina exists, even to the extent of publishing photos of someone purporting to be her (although no photos of her DJing or working in the studio exist) and strenuously denying his involvement in the face of overwhelming evidence. He has asked people to pretend to be her at parties she has been booked at (btw she has not once turned up to any parties she has been booked at - or even as a punter)... sure, the music exists and has been released - but Nina herself does not. As far as we know she's just one sad man's attempt to get his music more attention than it perhaps deserves.

  3. If there's one think I miss in most trance today it's the inventiveness; the sense of 'no rules' and the feeling that there's an infinite musical landscape out there to be discovered. Many producers these days seem to confine themselves in a few small towns on the border between the Undiscovered Country and Whatsgonebefore... I think the mountains scare them.

  4.

I don't know if Mr Collin was ironic or not  :P  But anyway, i am proud of that studio (it took 10 years to build it)

Dude if my studio looked like that I'd have a very similar expression on my face. It's just not the same playing back a track in the dark when the only light is two computer monitors, rather than a thousand LEDs all blinking in sync with various internal aspects of the track you're listening to.
  5. 41. You don't hear the words to any of the songs on the radio because you spend all your time working out how many hi-hat samples they use and how long the patterns are.

    42. You hear a whooshy noise in a club and shout 'Enigma!'

    43. When your friends are DJing at a party you are constantly leaning over the DJ mixer to tweak the eq - 'just to get the best out of the sound system'.

    44. When DJing you ALWAYS only run the mixer as loud as the sound engineer says you should.

    45. You know exactly how GMS made that sound.

    46. Infected Mushroom pester you on MSN for technical advice.

    47. You have a bank of your own original sounds for the FM7.

    48. You can make your computer speak without using a speech synthesis program.

    49. You get to visit the Cistine Chapel and the first thing you do is clap your hands, listen and say, "Hmmmm..."

    50. You know the resonant frequency of your girlfriend's foofoo.

  6. LOL

I've seen it sell on eBay for £35 but this surprised me indeed. Gotta agree with whoever said it's not worth that much but in the end, things are worth what people are willing to pay for them... however this obviously has nothing necessarily to do with their actual value.

    Otto: Shhhhhh!
