  1. If you are looking for 4/4 kickdrum downtempo melodic trance, i REALLY recommend you :

Ultravoice - Children of Earth (Ambient mix) which is the last of the album art of voice, the track is pretty simple, but this melody is really uplifting!

Otherwise, for other 4/4 kickdrum slow trance, of course you have the first Asura album.

Edit : i just noticed you already mentioned the Asura album in your post.

  2. Seriously, I don't find this site remotely useful for reviews anymore... I'm always checking isratrance and waiting through all the back-scratching and mindlessness (every release iz killlllaaahhhh!). What's happening here people? There are new albums out all the time - why not deliver a few opinions once in a while... doesn't have to be anything formal, but it's nice to get a reading of what people are responding well to....

    REVIEW SOME STUFF DAMNIT!

i agree with you, i started some reviews like "cosmic tone - overwhelming" , it seems a lot of people listened to this album, yet there is only two reviews, same for "benza - benza", "analog pussy - trance n roll", "dark soho - light in the dark" <-- everyone says it's a bad album, then tell it in the review section, etc.

  3. This album is worth getting for Brainstorm and Mai mai. Two different tracks : the first one is pure psychedelic goa trance, fast track and one of the most impressive ever made! The second one is similar to The muses rapt - Spiritual healing (the track), wonderful one!

  4. Syb Unity network

    Hi all,

I have been an avid fan of Cydonia, Tim Schuldt (and side projects) ann am looking for similar acts... I grew up on Industrial and experiemtnal music, my brother being in a local industrial band and myself playing in a local industiral metal band for about 5 years (before they went the way fo death/satanic metal and I found trance)... was wondering if there were many new or old artits who made a similar sounds, I have a lot of Boshke, Horns n' Hoof etc. stuff whihc I love but doesn not have the same haunting meldoies and sweeping landscapes... any help much appreciated smile.gif

of course [dark soho - combustion], but i doubt you didn't hear it already.

  5. you know, i learnt something today:

    Astral projection's music is monotonous

    Dimension 5's music is monotonous

    Cosmosis's music is monotonous

    Chi-A.D's music is monotonous

    Pleidadians's music is monotonous

    Miranda's music is monotonous

    Logic bomb's music is monotonous

Battle of the future Buddhas's music is monotonous

and, of course, Koxbox's music is the most monotonous of all!

each post from Cinos is an opportunity to make a fool of himself.

  6. That's also the only good track on it, the rest is so amateurish and cheesy it makes me double over in pain. (IMHO! Don't complain!)

And I got that track already.  :)

never heard the whole album but "the ancient sounds of the god" is a great track also.

  7. Yes. And boring too. Keep in mind I dislike all stuff that reminds of this.

you know i don't really like Texas Faggott psy either, but i certainly would not calling it monotonous. Choose the right words then.

  8. It is an album i was awaiting for for a long time! Magnetrixx, with his 2 previous albums, delivered really good music, and i expected a new and great album.

Here the cover and the tracklist:

    01. PROBABLY

    02. SYNTEX

    03. SKAPHANDER

    04. ZIPFEL

    05. TANZAPFEL

    06. SURROGAT

    07. WIRED

    08. FILIGRAN

This album keeps this original and special Magnetrixx hypnotic groove. This is a bit different from "Trittschall" and "Phase shift", and i would say more musical, more melodic. What i liked in his 2 previous albums was the happy feeling, uplifting and sunny, but not really melodic. This one maintains the same happy groove, and it's perfect music for dance floor as well as it's excellent morning progressive trance.

Track 3 SKAPHANDER is really imaginative, and doesn't follow the typical formulas of psytrance, just like the whole album : acid lines in a morning progressive trance track, really unconventional, and it is my favourite track in this album.

All my respect for Magnetrixx for maintaining their unique and warm style, and making it evolve a bit, adding more melodies, but staying away from the current psytrance trends.

    Recommended album, of course!

  9. Hi!

On a last party I've heard a beautiful psytrance track with some jazzy things mixed in.

I do mean some saxophone parts and so on.

    It was terrific!

Does anyone know this kinda tracks to listen to?

    Thanks in advance!

Loopus in fabula - Casbah, from the compilation VA - Ultrapop (Fabula records, 2004), I love it! And get the whole compilation, it's amazing!

  10. can't make a list but for the last 3 years I wouldn't put a melodic track by Ethearal or Filteria, but more progressive, or full on tracks, it fits better ;) (just to show the evolution of the scene)

  11. usually not my style, but i don't know why this one is not bad for me. I am sure it's about this technoish touch, because it's as hard as Absolum - Inside the sphere (which i totally disliked because just too hard), but i pretty like this Shift release, even if it's hard to listen to the whole album.

    Track 3 : Closer: Impressive!

  12. hi everyone, i try almost all rcomendation said and have loved many i will certainly buy some stuff :D  :D

    thx for all help.

I understand more what i want now, after trying all these recomendations.

Im now searching for psytrance that have melody that, after listening to them, i will know easily. Some kind of music that we are able to remember easily, not music that u listen in background

im not sure u will understand what i want, im not very good in english and i dont found how to explain exactly what i am thinking of

Many Infected Mushroom song have his own melody and make them very easy to differentiate, u can VERY easily, after listening 5 sec of a song say his name

    ie:

      Disco Mushroom

      The Shen

      the missed symphonie

Sailing in the sea of mushroom

      cities of the future

      Bust a move

      Deeply Disturbed

(almost all song of classical mushroom) ;)

      ...

    :D

then Astral projection is what you are looking for, i mean their old albums, Dancing galaxy for example, very distinctive and specific melodies. Also Dimension 5 - Transdimensional : tracks Deep space 5D, Beetlesnuff, Psychic influence for example, unique melodies, but certainly not Infect mushroom style ;)

Yahel - Waves of sound got good and inventive melodies, maybe you 'll like this album, but it's more trance than psytrance.

  13. Earth crossing was indeed very very melodic, maybe psy labels found it too cheesy.

Anno Domini was very different, another Anno Domini would do it for me, and i am sure a label would like to release an album like this.

  14. Cinos did you listen to the album Anno Domini, especially track 1 and 2?? did you listen to the singles "exit eternity"??? "eye am the I"??? "liquid neon sky"??
