  1. Hello people! I just released my first commercial soundbank (a psytrance soundbank for TAL Bassline 101). To celebrate both this and the 30th anniversary since the release of Hallucinogen's "Twisted", I created a free pack consisting of midi files for the whole album (along with a small soundbank for TAL Bassline 101 to get you started) - now yours to have fun with! You can get it here: https://payhip.com/BandofBuggered You can listen to audio demos on YT here: https://www.youtube.com/@BandofBuggered-q7p Do check out my psytrance soundbank too if you want - I think it's pretty neat (if you like retro psy), if I may say so myself! Cheers!

  5. I'm currently working on a (free) soundbank for TAL Bassline 101 with sounds, sequences and midi from a classic album - I can't divulge more, but I think some people will find it interesting and it might lead up to a few remixes. I'll post it in the Music Making forum when I finish (sometime next month), so keep an eye out.
  6. Glad to have helped! It's a good solution for unofficial remixes where you don't have access to the stems. There are also AI tools for stem separation, but I haven't used any, so I don't know which are good.
  7. Yes - depending on the program used, it usually gives you 4 layers (drums, bass, vocals, other). The stems have some artifacts, you might wanna compare apps (I know Cubase 15, izotope RX and Spectralayers, but there are others - possibly there's some online app too) for the best result. You can work with an mp3 as well but, since the stems aren't perfect and mp3s are already a lossy format, you might wanna try to find the best possible quality original file.
  8. Hi, I removed the drums and bass using Izotope RX, then added my own. You can do that with any program that has stem separation (Cubase added the option in v15). I also doubled some existing sounds with my own to give them more definition, and added a couple of lines. When I don't have access to the original stems (as is usually the case), that is what I do. Also if I call it a "bootleg", as in this track, it means I have not changed much. If I call it a "remix", then I've done more stuff.
