  1. Remix from 2025. Too close to the original — almost indistinguishable by ear, just a few subtle nuances.
  2. The father of all trance tracks with rap on top. How do you like that? 😄 DFX - Relax Your Body (1989). I’ll include it in my next selection of melodic Goa trance (part 5). And here’s some more classic stuff for you — one of my all-time favorite tracks. Nostrum - Brainchild (1994)
  3. This track is 9:40 long, but the beautiful melody doesn’t start until 6:02. You’ll have to be patient. Digital Sun is a Goa project by the guys from Tarsis. I like Tarsis too, even though it’s psy-prog.
  4. Duvdev & Shidapu – Zahadum (1995) Unreleased | The longest IM song - 14:20 The track was shared by the IM band in 2013 to remember their early years. It was made with impulse tracker.
  5. Kinder Der Erde - Evolution (12" Mix) (1995). Of course, it’s not a 20-minute track, but 13 minutes is still quite a substantial length.
  6. Can’t believe nobody mentioned Laughing Buddha. It’s basically Cosmosis from another angle. )) They only did like six or seven Goa tracks, but every single one is top notch. Personally, I’m a big fan of Karma
  7. The Solar Question Mark? - Acid Baba (1995) | 20:32
  8. Solar Quest - Harmonation (Energic Trance) (1995) 22:00
  9. I dropped an Excel file on Google Drive — set it up so you can download it with one click. The file has 4 sheets, one for each playlist. Feel free to peek at the tracklists before listening. There are some rarities in there too — not always the catchiest melodies, but pretty much unknown stuff. And let’s be honest, half the fun of playlists is digging up hidden gems. So yeah, give it a spin if you’re curious. Enjoy… or don’t 😅
  10. On laptop the playlists in my post work fine, but on phone they don’t So I added clickable links in the first post. Unfortunately, I can’t add the Excel file – it’s not allowed by the forum rules, the system just doesn’t let me attach it.
  11. I think the track Afrotrance - Spiritual Energy is a masterpiece. Nothing more, nothing less. And it’s one of the best floating goa trance tracks. It has an amazing build-up. The melody keeps changing in subtle ways (evolving). And if this is not considered a melodic track, then I don’t know what is. Just so you know, it’s a track with a long intro, and the melody starts at the third minute. You can find my comment on YouTube, I left a timestamp there.
  12. The difference between psytrance and goa trance is not at all about the presence or absence of melodies. There are plenty of goa trance tracks without a beautiful leading melody. I linked four playlists and the links were correct. I don’t know why the forum trimmed them down to a single track. I’m writing from my phone right now, it’s not convenient for me to edit it.
  13. Hi there! Glad you clicked the title and ended up here. What you see is yet another “Top” list made by a random nobody on the internet 😉 This time, it’s all about Goa trance tracks with beautiful leading melodies. Two key words: beautiful and melodic. Important note: these are not playlists of the “best Goa tracks ever” — they are playlists of tracks with the best melodies. Big difference. Oldschool has the priority. I’ve heard very little new school (not really my cup of tea), but there are a few new school tracks included here and there. The playlists are made for home listening, not necessarily for burning the dancefloor — though that works too. Personally, I listen to them while walking my dog or at work. Ideally, I like tracks with just one strong leading melody — not melody after melody after melody. That way the track sticks in your head and stands out. Of course, there are exceptions, like Infected Mushroom – Dancing With Kadafi (though you won’t find it here; a few IM tracks were in my drafts, but I dropped them since they’re not really Goa). Each playlist has 200 tracks. Why 200? Because that’s the YouTube playlist limit, and it’s convenient for editing. I actually have enough material for at least 3 more playlists, but sorting takes time. Sometimes I find a good track, but if it doesn’t match the quality of the others, I (sadly) cut it out. It’s been a tough selection process. You can’t cover everything. There will always be amazing tracks I haven’t heard, or forgot, or that you love but I don’t. Making choices is hard. And don’t forget: this is just the selection of some random nobody from the internet Bonus: if anyone wants the full list in Excel — I’ve got it, happy to share. Below are the first four parts. More to come… Part 1 | Part 2 | Part 3 | Part 4 | More to come…
  14. Celldweller - The Last Firstborn (Instrumental) (2003) | Metal+goa trance
  15. Metal+goa trance Celldweller - The Last Firstborn (2003)
  16. Xenomorph - Obscure Spectre (The Horror Trip Remix) (1997)
  17. Psychaos - Future Rocks. Flying Rhino Records, October 1997. UK.
  18. If you like Darshan dark goa trance check track Resonance – New World. Resonance is one track project from Darshan duo.
  19. For me best goa trance compilation is VA-A Voyage Into Trance (mixed by Paul Oakenfold) (1995). Because my passion for goa trance started with this disc.
  20. There are many tracks at the link, you can listen to the first three or four. Nello has a recognizable style and I can distinguish it from other goa trance artists. And I will back up a little and admit that Miranda remixed / reworked his original track to fit her sound. And that's okay. On an album, everything should sound more or less in the same style.
  21. Compare Miranda's style with Nello's. Nothing in common. This track is as close as possible to Nello's work. And as for what the musicians write on the cover... I wouldn't believe it completely. On Miranda's first album, it is not indicated anywhere that Dan Larsson from Electronic Dreamplanet is a co-author. It is written that he is just an engineer. He did not take part in the recording of the second album and the sound and melodies changed dramatically. But Lazar Pejnowich took part there. And he is the author (one of them, let's not belittle Miranda). So Miranda is a brand, not a solo project. And here is a direct link to the album, where the track Mars Need Women has only one author listed - Nello. https://www.discogs.com/release/28010-Miranda-Northern-Lights
  22. What are the chances of getting a full Laughing Skull album? He has so much unreleased old awesome material. It's a shame that even goa trance fans barely know him.
  23. Mars Needs Women written by Nello. https://www.discogs.com/artist/42043-Nello The only thing Miranda has on this track is her name on the cover
  24. Miranda - "Mars needs women" written by Nello If you like this style check Nello https://www.discogs.com/artist/42043-Nello
