Hey psychasm! Welcome. U from RSA? If so, I think you might be the first fellow South African I've met on this forum
-
Who needs drugs when you can just stare at that cover?

Promo blurb makes it sound pretty goddamn awesome. In bed now so can't check out the previews. It's ovnimoon though, so it's gotta be quality right?
-
Cool video, just wish i knew what you were actually doing
Where can I get that track?
-
I just LOVE the story of this album :
Awesome sound ! Incredible universe and personality ! 5/5 !!
Don't forget that amazing cover...

Haha, great review. Can't add my 2 cents worth as you've persuaded me not to waste my time on it
-
Samples sound superb! Proper acidic Goa!
Thats what Cronomi does, after all!
Props to Psysutra too, of course!
-
Damn that cover is amazing! Who is the artist?
-
That's the case with BlackStarrFinale. Since his Rabbit track on Goa Overdose, he didn't released anything weak. We could easily pick any track from AURYN and it will fit the compilation, but A New Name with it's lenght, optimal does of power and interesting melodic work, went on the CD.
Love that song, but imo Star Cloister is by far the best.

Oh yes! Cronomi!
Nice cover, can't wait to listen

Very nice. Good work boys, some awesome moments in there

Maybe it's better to explain through the images. I hope you don't mind because I took freedom to explain my point through the image rework. The first version before the filtering and color-balancing:
1st:
2nd:
I didn't have time to properly explain the fonts, so I took just different kind of font that looks more marijuanish than the first one and applied the settings
Yay on the font. I preferred the 1st render before filter - The deep emerald green needs to stay!
-
For what it's worth, my first thought when I saw the original cover was that it was really nice.
I also like the first version better. My advice is to devote more time to the work on the fonts. The artist title font looks generic with cheap green glow and too much of black stroke. The bottom gradient doesn't give enough of punch. I would rather see that one in different setting, perhaps warp the fonts a bit on the edges, get rid of the ugly strokes and glow and give it 3D shaping with bevel and emboss. After that apply gray to white gradient from bottom to top and texturize a bit the motifs from the bottom. I'm sure it will blend nicely with the rest of the image.
This dude knows some shit, so I guess you should listen to him re: fonts.
As far as the 2nd one is concerned, the tree is really nice, but if you were to use it I would get rid of the moon/planet/horizon.

Wow, this is excellent.
Every time I find one of these gems, I am again stunned by the gift that Ektoplazm is to all of us.

Eargasm! I was just listening to "Scythe" the other day in my car and thought to myself: "This dude needs to make some more good shit like this".
This is a bit more "step" than I usually prefer, but as usual your atmospheres are flawless.

Time dilation = such an mazing track. Leaves me speechless, with goosebumps every time. Best by far on this album.
What Filteria said - the way these tracks are mixed is absolutely incredible. It's just on another level completely. Why, oh God why did these guys have to lose the plot so utterly? How can we bring them back?
-
Whoah man..... Groovy, psychedelic, epic.
Ektoplazm does it again. Long live Ektoplazm.
-
This album is so badass. After all 3 years of almost weekly listens, I still keep coming back for more. Headphones on, eyes closed, paralyzed by the acid...
-
I agree, this is very interesting stuff. Why so little interest in these guys on this forum?
-
I've had this for ages, but hadn't really gotten into it, until today.
Still a lot to discover here over time, but I can honestly say this is some of the most beautiful and stylish goa/trance I've ever heard. I wasn't part of the "scene" until about 2000, but still managed to miss out on blue planet. Until now, that is.
One more thing: Barocco.... Holy shit... does soemthing to my brain. The music really is "trance" in the true sense. Deep, hypnotic, repetitive but evolving at the same time. Wow. And how about the bassline? So different from all the stuff we get nowadays.

Alienapia vs synsun! Holyshit!
-
This is the first time I actually like a radical distortion track. I know, absolute heresy...
-
I don't like it. Although, tbh, Asterope is the only track from IFO that I still listen to. I guess the sound must be getting a bit dated.
Off topic: what is up with Jon Cocco's out-of-character comments in 2001? I guess it was more than 10 years ago...
-
This is gonna be crazy! Artwork is stunning too.The Sirius sample is almost too epic!

Lol, that's pretty crap! Good thing you pointed it out.
