Abasio, thanks for an interesting review. Makes me think that perhaps I should give this release a go.
-
This is going to be amazeballs
-
Good for you! I'm in Durban still, been here my whole life. Looking at NZ as my next possible destination.
I guess it depends on what JZ gets up to next!
-
Ja boet, awe ma se kind. Just how local are you? Still living this side?
No longer local, joined the brain drain 8 years ago. U?
-
I picked this up last week off Ektoplazm, just fuckin wow!!!! Words fail me when I listen to this. This is seriously top notch. So emotive and melodic.
Ja boet, this is the shit
-
Nice one, Draeke and Suntrip. It's wonderful to see professionals collaborate for our benefit.

Just wow at this thread! Next I'm gonna learn I'm a racist because I don't enjoy Chinese food, that I'm Islamophobe for driving a hybrid and a homophobe because I don't watch gay porn...
Lol, this is my quote of the year

for the first time in my "soon to be dj" life i cried for the first time after finishing a mix using psy-h project - precession of the universe...
this comp is not only a "must have", imho it s a masterpiece.
some may say it s quite "kind" repetitive in the selection but all those tracks are sooooooooo my cup of tea :s
Yep, Psy-H totally owns on this comp.

they should always release 2 versions of their albums, one with vocals and guitars and one instrumental version, you know, for the fans from 20 years ago
Or just the instrumental one...
-
OK, I'll try it. My expectations are exactly zero so there's no risk of major disappointment, right? Right?
Haha. Yes, this may be the safest approach
-
Anyway... I love it, haha
Ok, you made me feel bad so I tried it, lol. It's pretty good, reminds me a bit of a set by Celli Earthling https://soundcloud.com/earthling/celli-earthling-ozora-festival-closing-dj-set-2014. Awesome if you're in a party mood.
Thanks for sharing

i think converting vegetarians part 1 is the last album i listened from infected mushroom and it was quite good - it had its moments
i never listened to what came after that
so is part 2 somehow similar to part 1?
Yes, it's similar to the 2nd "downtempo" disc, but I think slightly better. Like you said, has it's moments

51 min was a crtitial point for me.
However, they got Interesting sound and top notch production, as usual.
Lol, it's not all amazing, and that section is particularly bad. Duvdev had to have a chance to flex his vocal cords at some stage, didn't he? I think they even used a bit of autotune!
Anyway, it aint perfect, but compared to army of mushrooms, it's a welcome return to a style of music I can (mostly) relate to. There's no arguing they're brilliant musicians, unfortunately also crap singers
-
Not sure if anybody cares, after the shite that was their latest few albums. This one was released last year as a follow-on for CV, obvs. I am pleasantly surprised, actually. Creativity, melody, crystal-clear (really amazing) production, and most importantly, a minimum amount of Duvdev singing.
I haven't bought it yet, only listened on youtube, but I'm calling it my most surprising find of the past 12 months. I think the boys are back! Check it out https://youtu.be/EjKGFLbSFBw

This release is incredible...
The concept, craft and execution are all so genuine and original. Apart from the music, the thing I love most is the artwork. It's something truly special - I only wish there were more of it!
Could you please, please pleeaaase release a high-quality desktop-size version of some of the images? I would be eternally grateful.

I know what you're saying on some level, but on another level this is unique and very different. Not something I put on for a listen very often though

Dis guy?
Last I heard of this project he was the other guy on the Purple Energy album with GoAsia. That was almost a decade ago and I recall his tracks filled me with a profound sense of...meh. Seems as though he has been hittin' the goa weights because this was an unexpected surprise. Omegahertz is Dimitrios Pouranis and he has just planted his flag upon goa mountain. It's full of raw fury, with screeching 303's and a science fiction atmosphere. They go from the highest highs to the guttural growls all with power to break through walls a la Kool Aid Man. There is a lot to love about this release.
"But dude, what about that artwork?"
Baby steps young paduan. Rome wasn't built in a day. Still better than Goalogique covers. It's a storming good time that would fit nicely in your goa collection. Yeah it's a CD-r, but so is all the stuff from Submoon and we are quickly finding out how good that is. This is unquestionably a gem that is about to be hidden no longer.
Right again T2MU, but more right than usual. This somehow has something different and special that makes it stand out among the neogoa (note deliberate lowercase) releases. Fantastic!

Anyway great news about Zion604 projects!

Well... Beatport, Junodownload and Psyshop all have this pricing policy where WAVs cost more than MP3s. I don't know about the others but Beatport has (or at least had, haven't shopped in there for maybe 5 years) a "WAV handling fee" of 1 per track which is absolutely ridiculous.
At least Bandcamp does it right
Omg... That's pretty overboard. I wonder how they justify it.

Good. I have reasons not to buy anything ever again from Beatport.
Never bought from there, would love to know why it's best to avoid though. Sorry if OT
-
Leave Jesus out of this, please... :-P
Sorry, just having a bit of fun. You're obviously entitled to comment on the things you feel are important.
^^ :D
Insanity! Insanity
Where can I find the samples, or is it only on the arabesque site?
-
Oh, so now you admit there was something wrong with Doof's mastering? You was so certain it sounded just like the artists wanted, that several people checked it, etc...
Oh Jesus, here we go again...
-
I knew it!
This shit is so epic, well worth the wait.
Congratulations to global sect for biding their time until everything was perfect, as well as to all the artists.
-
OMG I've been waiting for this for so long. Can't believe it's finally happening!
