maybe the old "4 on the floor" or whatever its called turns them off to trance music? with most of the people i knwo that dont like it, thats all they hear "boom boom boom". idm has interesting rhythms everywhere... i like both styles very much...couldnt compare them to eachother really both genres have their geniuses in one way or another

I need help! I'm gonna unload tons of cash on a mini recording setup but I have no idea what to get! Im not gonna unload the cash til that changes of course! So can someone help? Im thinking... one synth to start...maybe waldorf q or virus...gotta test for my tastes... then a pc running cubase or logic (or another?)...once again gotta try em i guess but any ideas on the power/learning curve ratio... maybe i need a sampler as well...could someone explain to me why i cant just use the synth for sounds though? and effects im guessing too... i only wanna use the pc for sequencing and maybe effects i think...any ideas ont hat as well? basically id like to just jump into it...cause i have plenty of ideas for songs...TONS you know? but the thing is all this techie crap slows me down a lot...spend more time learning programs and programming than writing... i should just get an engineer to live at my house! your thoughts? Thanks!
