Mp3s exist and they aren't going away. Humans are humans and they aren't going to change. If psy doesn't break into the top40 then the artists won't make much money...yea they would if everyone who ever listened to their mp3s bought their cds but THEY don't and they probably wont do so ever. Ask the average jazz musician or metal dude if they make any money...its the same situation in any "underground" music...get over it, its not going to change. If you want money make some house or produce something thats more popular, otherwise do what you love and enjoy it for that otherwise your going to be making yourself mad for no reason. Yea it sucks but thats the way things are people kill each other, animals shit on peoples lawns, spaceships blowup SHIT HAPPENS wish all you want, i will too, but it wont do any good anyway I alway thought an artists payment should be the joy he gives to other people. When i write music its so great to see someone else enjoy it too. Much better than that person giving me 5 bucks or whatever...

Hey my Virus just has a typical instrument cable jack and I wanna line it into my PC but my PC just has RCA jacks. Can I just use adapters to change the size and then use RCA instead of the instrument cables or is the signal different? Two instrument cables for stereo = sux! Anyway the headphone jack uses that size jack as well (the instrument cable sized, dunno the measurement) and I just used an adapter for that. I was wondering if I could just use two of those in the right/left line outputs and then plug the RCA cable into that...? Thanks!

finally heard the whole comp, really good stuff Favorite tracks probably astrix and talamasca, though theyre all pretty good dont think its quite as good as the first though, maybe just different (definitely more "full on") maybe Ill review it tonight

I heard the astrix song live at Alien Project and it was incredible! So was the Shpongle track...can't wait to hear it...

I saw them live about half a year ago and I like it very much. Good vibey "goa" music, even if it is cheesy.

What are these guys doing now?! They plan on gettin together again? I must say I dig all of the tracks I've heard from the combination on various comps! Wish they'd get together more often! Maybe do an album or something...

That's lame. Just because things change doesn't mean they're worse. I think people just look at those old tracks and albums as the ones that got them into this scene and that's why they hold them in such high regards. I think there is plenty of good stuff being put out today. I bet if the same goa style was being produced still that someone would be complaining that noones pushing the envelope. Anyway, you know that old saying: Wish in one hand and shit in the other... Enjoy what is in front of you... (as a side note from my little rant, I DO love that old style and wish it was played more, but I find no use in complaining cause I love the stuff thats popular now too.)

Vinyl is ridiculous. Why? No pitch control When you change the tempo of one track it may be 1/4 a step off key or something but with CDs you can hold the pitch or change it so the songs are the same key

What do you guys do for compression and EQing? Also, do you usually do parts (bass, perc, leads, fx, whatever...) seperately? Or altogether? Or both?

I may very well be takin a small trip to SF during this weekend and wondered if there are any known parties? I hear the psy scene there thrives moreso than anywhere else in the US. Hopefully I can catch a show!

Yea I think tech-y and clubby for indoors. For outdoors I really love dark and "classic" goa sounds. If they get mixed up its all good though
