  1. http://www.discogs.com/artist/Nobukazu+Takemura never heard but it looks extremly interesting. Will check this out in the future, I hope.

he's a tad difficult to get into perhaps 'coz he's got an extremely diverse output.

for mushroomish' piekadelic i can wholeheartedly recommend the "animate" & "hoshi no koe" albums.

for more synthetic purposes the "scope" album performs miracles aswell.

for those uncategorised meditative pie-moments perhaps the "water suite" & "assembler / assembler 2" albums.

for that deep melodic smoke-chasing i'd call out the "finale" & "milano" albums.

strictly musical-wise i reckon "before the words" & "child's view" could blow a breath of fresh air through your chill-collection.

& if you're simply feeling buzzed out in the morning from eating too much pie late at night you might wanna give his "songbook" a chance.

hope that helps without erm, colouring the music too much :D

  2. As suggested before, very mature! Either it is homophobia, or it is just homo? :wank:

Wonder what would happen if Hallucinogen made a track called : Hallucinogen - EAT MY FUCKING ARSE MUSHROOM!

    LOOOOOOOOOOOL

Infantile music, for infantile minds (sorry, but the above tracklist proved my point!!)

    ghughughu! you said homo.

  4. So whats your point? That because it sells good, it has to be killargh  And as actually Mr. Kryll points out, its dead, it does not exist anymore. Some forms of it does though, some retarded versions of it, which only IMO has made it worse haha.

Its cool you like it, I respect you for liking it... but for me its just music that I can not stand at ALL. And as I said, I have been and seen various parties in Holland and Germany, where it was full with chavs. Cool to know that some people (fluff and you) that are normal also dig this kind of music hehe.

com'on now, how can you not dig stuff like this
  5. I never understood Gabber or Hardcore, it never really attracted me. I mean, I know a lot of people actually love it, and its uber big in The Netherlands, but what is so attractive to it? The chicks at the parties? The Chavs? Maybe I should start making some Psy Gabber... Oh wait, we already have Dark Psy, its close enough (yes yes, its a joke, i dont like Dark Psy, but I can still see some good in Dark Psy, but not in Gabber...) :D

What the hell is that all about?

Its a really strange scene as well, full with Nazis (not all of course, I know that), full with punkz (contradicts my nazi statement, but thats how it is) and they really seem to like Biomechanical Stuff. Horror is also very common around this scene. I once saw a bunch of people going to a gabber party in Amsterdam, and they all wore like Brown Military clothing (like Hitler had)...

Can you dance to that music more than 1 hour without taking some kind of upper?

went to a hardcore-party on saturday & suddenly one of the dj's started mixing dark psy in his set. k-k-k-killaargh.

ps. i never take uppers still i can go non-stop at those kind of things :D

  6. Then dont continue the discussion. If you can not take a good old battle ;)

Anyways, One question, is Trentemoller Psychedelic to you? For me it is!

trentemollur is the most emo shit ever.

I've been thinking too much about you

I've been staring at the floor

I've listened to all the tunes i love

But made me feel quite blue

    blablablaaablablablablablaablaaaaa blablablablaablabblablaaaaaaaaaa

  7. Many people seem to like the BP empire album a whole lot....

Not my favorite Infected album, it was clearly their turning point to a new direction, I do love Funkameleon, and I shure as hell love Dancing With Kadafi, Never Ever Land and spaniard are great too, but I prefered their 2 earlier albums over this one.

    Dunno why actually.

Yeah, I never thought BP Empire was as good as Classical Mushroom

    Although DWK was the shiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiit!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

For me B.P.Empire is a very good album, but not their best. The Gathering and Classical Mushroom are masterpieces!

B.P.Empire is a bit too minimal for my taste, but DWK is the shiiiiiiiiiiiiiiit!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I agree. Actually BPE was the first psytrance album I bought, and at the time I thought it was brilliant. But their first two albums gradually overtook BPE in the race for my affection.

    infidels

  8. A few additions from me:

    2003

Dark Nebula - The 8th Sphere: Nobody except me seems to realise that this is one of the best albums ever made.

rest assured, this is a widely appreciated release. the few times i played i (at least) slipped in the dark nectar, just 'coz it's so funny to see people go mad on it

btw, stuffing the opening track with baldur's gate 2 samples, this was an immediate favourite of mine even before the first kick fell in :D

on-topic again: i think both Opsis releases don't get half the recognition they deserve. manicly pumping floating mindshattering soulstretching earthquake-invoking psychedelic techtrance at it's best.

  9. i am so impressed by your way of saying things. it makes me (and my clique!!??) appear like such a loser and you like such an important and cool man. congratulations.

how was the off topic hindering you and everyone else from talking about psytrance then? especially if you didnt click and visit the OT?

iirc there was no continuing spam problem in the general.

btw, the original purpose of this site was to get news about psytrance and provide meeting ground for the psy community. the fact people were free to discuss what they wanted and have fun was what made this place different to isratrance and widened its member base. dunno if you were around in the beginning of psynews, but this is what characterised it for years and years.

this community is far bigger than the artists, label managers and the few who are yet to get tired of having the same discussions about the mostly crap music. however, if you had the common sense to note where the offtopic people participated in psytrance discussion, you'd see a LOT of people would only comment on the very few threads talking about music as interesting as the music we knew years ago. of course this went unnoticed and you're now labeling these people as outsiders. which is messed up.

you are actually happy to form your own "clique"? those people who have been into this scene for 5 or 10 years (and have the audacity to criticise it nowadays and dont spend their "lives" analising kickdrums and production quality for 10 years) are not part of it, or should not be allowed to have everyday discussions in this site, something happening from the beginning until now, according to "your side" (because you people are dividing the people here in sides).

no they dont belong in a world dominated by uptight snobs.. cause even if they dont click the link to the OT, these topics somehow magically appear in front of them.

there was a day when this scene was about being open to anything and the fans applied a "live and let live" approach to life. now it seems people like to turn it into another snob scene. next thing you're gonna organise parties and ban fluoro clothing.

not saying anything like bye or good night or whatever. im not a man of black or white. more like middle ground ;)

    rino listens to techno.
  10. good intro  nice & spacey track, full-on psytrance on tranquilizers :P i dont know anything about notes or melodies but afaik they sounded good to my ears. was a bit surprised about the ending though, that fade-out.

    e. after listening a couple of times i have to say it reminds me of infected's classical mushroom for some reason. nice : )

  11. Cool track, nice dark sounds(software???)

basic FL8 with added vanguard & glitch :)

But i do think there's something wrong with the bass OR the compression/limiting, it's like it cutoff when the noizy/scratchy sounds play together with the kick/bass...

it's a limiting thing, i'd need to cut down some samples here & there to fix that but so far i dont really mind that glitch :P
  12. thanks for the comments guys, muchos appreciados Posted Image

& you got me on that big breakdown nemo :D it's where i quickly wrapped things up to continue later on q:

the beatskips yeh, i only notice them vaguely in the beginning (in the wav aswell) so i reckon there's a sound that goes to high & cuts out beats because of the overall limiter

  13. I have actually begun writing one on that. But seeing as Cujo is a friend of mine, I would like to see someone else start the topic :/ Maybe I should actually just post it one day, it sure deserves it :)

post it! it's possibly better than nothing, & certainly better than a half-baked fluffymushi 'review'.
  14. Actually lots of artists don't seem to get many replies in the review section.

Jikkenteki's albums for example & Tamlin I would have thought would have more comments on this site.

cujorius one's "the art of mindfucking" didn't even get a review :l
