  1. I agree... but at the same time, I found that even the spontaneous approaches don't quite reach "classic" status, even if I enjoy them. I mean it's almost been a decade since the turn of the century, and many many different and original approaches to trance music have been tried (progressive, dark trance, techtrance, suomi, etc.), yet they all fall short IMO.

all those original approaches really originated over a decade ago. it was cool in the beginning but they're all getting old & stale.

oldskool goa didn't even outlive it's own decade yet these sub-styles just keep on going, losing more & more track of what matters for over 10 years now.

i honestly can't think of any surprisingly original twist or turn the music has taken over the last couple of years. it explains why old music sounds more impressive; people were still experimenting with it back then.

  2. Exactly, but do you really think it is?

Like I said I can understand that in a track with a loud kick or in track more minimal, but IMO in most dance tracks out there, from commercial House to experimental stuff the kick is not the dominant element.

    Maybe I'm wrong.

take out a] the hihats; b] the melody or c] the kick. which act will cripple your dance track the most you think?

hint: it's the same thing they remove when a break is inserted in a dance track.

  3. It's just SOO difficult when you've created a 7 and a half minute track, and the part from 2 minutes on forward is awesome.. The beginning was lame, tried to change it.. It's impossible for me to make a cool beginning like this, that doesn't sound TOO empty, but yet is matching the rest of the track, without sounding too repetetive :( Well...

cut long intro, make it a 6 minute track? :P

  4. Oops, I didn't see that before I voted "Other" because I wanted to choose that. I don't only like goa, but it's definitely far over the others. I guess progressive.

What would some examples of "psychedelic techno" be?

i voted "psychedelic techno" with stuff like Midi Miliz, Opsis, X-dream & Cujorius One in mind. the oldskool "progressive" sound i guess.

  5. a lot simple to assume? its easy to asume what you would be without the societey? then right an essay if its easy, youll be rich men

essay shmessay. i wonder why rousseau didn't live in a cave on a deserted island.

probably the vilest, most purist opus of dark psy ever released. this is, without a doubt, as dark as it gets. there are no stupid breaks to be found on this album, no silly build-up's, no lame samples. simply put: no nonsense. this is one relentless ride into the realm of the devil himself. all aspects of joy are stripped from the mind like flesh from the bone. all that remains is the extatic realisation of mind over matter, life over death, energy over logic. consciousness over ratio. psychedelic in it's most litteral form. manic shamanic. "rip it - out"

  7. you really think that?v we would be alone, if we were better off alone? thats is one simple conclusion

i think the opposite is alot more simple to assume, it's easy to get caught up in a fantasy. it's not as easy to actually come to terms with our reality.
  8. yes but that is pathetic, what? he need a ballon to have fuckin hope? he can not be at least a bit happy in his life, alone, tranquile, being a sauvage, taking care of himself, like real humans. men tons of philosophers such as rousseau did theorys saying that we, as humans in the society are corrupt and that we are better off alone, taking care of ourselve, not thinking about what fuckin paste you gonna put in your hair to make you look good. just the novel robinson crusoé demonstrate that, at the end, robinson is happy to be on his island, but tom hanks, hes freaking out all along, and thats what pathetic!

it's nice in theory, the inner-peace savage, but it's nothing but an escapist fairytale or a misanthropical fantasy. if humans would be better off alone, they would be alone.*

*exceptions excepted ofcourse, like hardcore hermits & stuff, which make up a neglectable fraction of the population.

  9. I think i will agree, its a bit better then twisted, without being better, but stil its better, no okay, i love more Twisted then B.p BUT enjoyable at any time, ill go with this one!

i think i will agree. where twisted taps into that source of raw energy & writes a psychedelic bible of some sort, infected takes & sculpts it into a contemporary Venus of Milo.
  10. freaking annoying imo, what the fuck is that damagable bass.

every song is like the others. this is an amazing album?

its all the same, the bass is way to proeminent, always a scratchy noise to it

can be groovy, like 2 minute into the songs, then he stick with the same thing all along

what in the fuck! this stuff is nothing but cool, its annoying, really annoying, no pleasant listening, its not fun, how can anybody like that!fuck, i really dont dig it

    amazable review.

  11. I'm curious the general processes used by the pros....

Do you design whole/partial tracks on paper or mentally beforehand, or just build it on the fly?

Do you make a lot of sounds and save them up to pick from, or make them as you need them?

At the end do you go add a whole bunch of lasery sounds to make it "psychedelic"?

    Other information would be nice.

since alot of artists are deaf like beethoven, what they do is they write down the notes & make a composition on paper, afterwards they enter the notes in their sequencer of choice, slap on their favourite synth-presets & adjust frequencies on sight.
