  1. This is indeed an interesting thread to read. I never thought that people could take forums so seriously, no disrespect though. I have never been someone that can take this kinds of meeting places on the internet seriously, not to the point as seeing Unikos backing up a member he thinks is mistreated, I admire that. I'm not new to the internet not by far, but I'm rather new to these kind of social meeting places. I never felt the need to participate or having found any place where I could feel I wanted to make it a go and get involved. I'm glad I found psynews, really great forum.

Now I'm gonna search for that Jon Cocco thread, need to see what all the fuzz is about :) And also, words are just words...actions speak louder..but ofc, in a forum words are the action..

edit: btw anyone got link to the thread from where Lubu got the warning? can't find it..

words are like bullets......mmmkay???
  2. well, there has been alot of speculation.

The location was also used by alot of big organisations (non psy) that have alot of sponsors and lawyers.

THe firefighters of Antwerp were never happy that it was used for such big parties. (some +5000)

And then kairoo wanted to throw a party there , and the politicians saw an easy victim (without sponsors and lawyers) to settle it once and for all.

close this party = send a message to bigger orginasations this location is permanetly closed.

The politician that pushed the mayor to organise the raid was an ex-district commander in antwerp. Now he's part of the right nationalists.

He hates everything that smells left winged. He beated up his wife, got sewed, insulted immigrants as a cop, got sewed again. He's seriously fucked up!

Funny thing to mention is: a month earlier the same cops and politicians tolerated a neo-nazi party (blood & honour) near antwerp.

I geuss it's the contradiction of goa. We want to break with everything commercial, do it our way, but don't realise we're easy victims then.

Maybe a party like this in a city centre just needs big multinationals like coca cola just for protection.

Goa peeps don't tolerate any form of commercialising and controle.

Police doesn't tolerate any party this big, completely disconnected from the commercial stuff, without any controle on it.

    and they are both right!

    That's about it.

    IMO

yeah someone or some reason must have been behing it....to many cops and to many media imo for a party bust....especially if they busted the party before it started...smells really rotten...

  3. Noooo!

So, Chemicus is the one who submitted PsyNina's picture, is actually DJ Chemicus, who is also Thomas Vitali, who runs both PsyTropic Records ánd PsyBuy, who goes under the name of AlieNed at Psynews, trying desperately to get people to buy PsyTropic records off of PsyBuy. I'm quite surprised that Massive - Not an Angel wasn't released at PsyTropic.

    Right.

    Very inconspicuous indeed.

Btw, wasn't there another topic about this as well?

    your avatar is too fast
  4. wrong!

i'd prefer a trainwreckin' oldskool dj to a beatsmoochin' shitty isra cheesediareeahj

and he could play shitty oldskool as well... so it's trackz all the way... dj who cant beatmatch just play intro/outro usually which is what i prefer, time to get into the track and live the whole story instead of keepin' on pumpin'

i'd prefer to just intro/outro each track but too much beatfreakz with no style on the dancefloors worldwide

  5. He has another album, Once Upon A Time, I have reviewed it here on the site, the review sucks though. I bought the album listened to it twice and never bothered listening againg since I thought it sucked, regretting my score in the review. I'll pick it up again and see if I changed my mind.

edit: check out Zero Cult - Ikebana and their first album aswell think they are kinda maybe somewhat similar

yeah i ve been listening to them both for the last hours, both very good, thanks!!
  6. You are confusing beat with measurement

no no no i meant to use the 4/4 as an example since a lot of trance has 4/4 beats... but i see that its a bit confusing...

i ll just stick to the "no beat waveform" next time.

  7. BPM is not a kick it's the counts(don't know what its called) of the track, so there doesn't nessesarily have to be a beat! If you take cubase or whatever, and turn the BPM down to 0(if you even can do that) then the music would stop. Therefore there have to be at least 1 BPM, and i seriously doubt that it would be very amusing to listen to :)

wouldnt be interesting to make a loop with 0,0000000000000000001 bpm and some super fast notes...like 2048ths.... haha
