  1. [Adi Shankara (s.VII)

  2. Namlook for the win! I totally agree with you! :) But hey, Radi will HATE it!!! Do we really need to know if he hates it?

oh fuck ur right... but u know...hope is the last to die

srsly though...ur absolutely right...the last thing i wanna read is radi trying to explain why namlook sucks to his ears...eh to hell with it... :(

  3. i know u are not gonna appreciate the music am gonna tell u to listen to, but i dont care.

fuck psyambient and psychill for a second. listen to dark side of the moog.

then listen to it again. and again. and again. and again. and then listen to any psychill u want.

theres 11 albums, just pick one, i dont remember any of them not being good. perhaps nemo can actually reccomend specific albums...am really bad with names atm...

  4. No, not tracks I like, I also like less fammous tracks. But the fammous tracks of the scene, they are below 500. If someone recommends tracks to gao newbies will he recommend him Electric universe - Galaxia or mfg - desert suns or Earth nation - An artificial dream (dragonfly rmx). No that are not the most fammous tracks. The fammous tracks are hallucinogen - LSD, Astral projection - Mahadeva and so on which appeared on most comps at taht time and I am sure these tracks are less than 500. you can consider them wellknown if you don´t like the word fammous.

    oh ok..i get it
  5. Sure there are, there are many more than 300 tracks, but if you would start making a list of the known and fammous tracks in goa you probably would end up in a list with less than 500, you see that I don´t count tribal oriented stuff like Elysium to the mot fammous stuff, or Hunab Ku for example or the tracks released under other nicks of psychaos.

ur so out of it man... am not gonna be mean to u, so i will just say that there is more.much more than that.

and ur in complete paradox. its impossible to have 300 FAMOUS tracks. i mean wtf think of it. its just tracks U like. wake up

  6. should check the chopping track from ozric entacles, I must see if it can chop with my head as much as feathers body vibration.

    omfg...you rock

and its called gate radi...dont u feel wiser, cooler when u say gate? come on, its good for u, say it with me. gate. the gate effect on this track is very good. yes. thats better. cookie for u.

  7. Ok I love psytrance and the older goa as well, but what is with the way the old school goa artists are all in the same style/sound?

I have been listening to Dimension 5 - Transdimensional, Transwave - Backfire, Cosmosis - Cosmology, and Pleiadians - IFO - all these albums use the same pallet of sounds and same melodic style..

There are subtle differences yes, but overall they are in almost exactly the same melodic style, basslines, and sound pallet...

IMO these albums are creatively inferior to albums like Hallucinogen - Twisted, Koxbox - Dragon Tales, Hux Flux - Cryptic Crunch, IM - The Gathering, X - Dream - Radio, and others that have a sound all there own...

This lack of creativity is the case nowadays as well with the Suntrip compils - Afgin, Artifact303, Astrancer, Khetzel - there are subtle differences but none of these artists have a distinct sound such that I could hear one of their tracks and recognize it as them - I would be like "well this track could be either Artifact303 or Afgin, or maybe Astrancer"... Why would anyone bother making music that is just a creativity devoid copy of a style of music that someone else has already done?

That would not be the case for Hallucinogen, Hux Flux, or Infected Mushroom - you hear a track by those artists and there's no mistaking it for anything else.. IMO artists like those are the true creative genius's of the psytrance/goatrance world...

    yes and no
  8. the ones i mentioned are totally percussion-free

one with only some percussion, no kicks: Earth Nation - Transfiguration

i havent checked that one out but am not looking for beatless ambient(if it is ambient)...i have tonns of that (steve roach- vidna obmana etc)..i even make beatless ambient when i get some time off... what am looking would be considered completely experimental....a normal track full of synts, spirals, fx etc but without the 4-4 kick...i just wanna see what that would be like...cz sometimes a 10sec break is better than the whole track...i remember darshan- tranceformation with the EPIC break killing me...but ap's breaks are more like what am looking for... i dont have the track names infront of me right now, ill write them down 2morrow and post them so ppl have some material to work on.

but i will check out the links u gave me. am always happy to discover some new soundz :clapping:

  9. ok guys thanks 4 the recs ill check them out when i get some time...

to make it easier 4 ppl that dont really understand what i mean....imagine the breaks in the old goa-psy trax...when the kick disappears and theres only the synths and fx (percussion as well, no prb)

. are there any tracks that are entirely like that? hope i made clear what i mean! :)

  10. hey!

was wondering if there were some artists-tracks-albums that released "beatless" trance...more like kickless. i mean normal goa (good trance aka) with all the characteristics of trance , but without the kick...kinda like the big breaks one can find in some goa tracks(ap used to do this a lot)

in other words, melodic, powerful and not necessarily 60bpm trance but without the 4/4 kick....

i know its weird, i just wanna see if any such tracks exist! :)

  11. true that. but thats the way it is going to be for now. dont get me wrong here, I also miss offtopic and the tech talk. maybe it gives some space for thought though, and some time to spend OFF the internet? :D

ye i know...i dont really care if the off topic closed...i mean i do, but not that much. am not asking u to reopen it...u had ur reasons to close it...

right now am pretty much online 9 to 5 (not getting payed though lol) but not just to be online...its cheaper than the phone if u get what i mean.. ;)

    :D
