-

-
Teach me how to reach the 30 second mark.I am still at 5. God's English.
-
I never want to hear it again.
-
same here, but I havent checked about PM's yet..
-
another example of how taste is a completely personal thing....I found the soundtrack of the penguins, along with the emotional talking absolutely horrible.... I would prefer some real ambient from the like of namlook or roach for that film...totally fits with the arctic landscapes! anw on topic now: I would reccomend some enigma
-
about the frequency track... does it say "this is a test of the frequency express","and then it tells the freq and a sound of supposedly that freq comes in? ex: "this is 22.000hz"...... "sound" and then other freqs? well if its the one,you shouldnt be looking for it,I heard it last night, porpably the worst track of the night....d-devils are better than this ffs
-
medium place + loads and loads of ppl....its getting trendy lately to attend these parties...a lot of ppl dont even like the music, but they still go and sit like depressed prisoners on the sofas....beh... there should be pics soon,if this thread is still alive by then I'll post them... haha I know exactly what you talking about
-
oh well I couldnt move without stepping on someone's toes last night.....
-
the feelings, the flow of teh track, the story it tells, the places it takes you to....
-
Yeah...Last time I go to a psy-party....enough is enough.... arrrghh I hate those nights....when you think "it cant get any worse",it does! you missed the edit

Oh God.....I wanted to kill myself. Opening set was by a resident dj. Blsting headache full-on - dark. ...bliah 2hours later Astral came on... They played a 1.30h set.Only 15-20minutes were worth it,because they played Let there be Light and People can Fly. It was great to hear those tracks in a huge soundsystem. The rest was some god awful stuff.... As for it being live....2(or 3) laptops...one with cubase se running...the other with some sort of wave graph...(like soundforge) and a small usb keyboard...I guess an 8 key...it was really tiny... I dont know if they used it.... Tottaly generic stuff...killargh basslines, breaks and psy-farts all the time... Oh and about the melodies? HA! Four Notes guys! Four Fucking Notes going up and down.....a simple arpeggio on repeat for the whole track!!! WTF!!! The Mahadeva remix is a disgrace. After that add another 2 hours of Killlargh full-on crap from the other dj.... And on top of that add an unbelievable bad luck streak that fucked the night up and left an even more bitter memory of it.....
-
good luck with that....
-
AP are playing "live" this friday here... What do you guys think? Should I go or should I stay? Price is quite stepp too.... 99% I am going to go and see for myself if the suck as much as ppl say they do....I just hope they will play Butterfly Trip.....beh,dream on dreamer...
-
So.....which albums made you really want to kill everybody with a rusty chainsaw?
-
SFX - Butterfly Trip works like a charm
-
I just hope I wont resort to eating the covers to stay alive for the next months.....
-
it certainly looks like it!!!! I wish you an awesome holidays too,and may all that you want come true!!!
-
but what happened that made the well of ideas go dry??? dark is another theme of controversy...what the majority of people call dark is those ear-bleeding madness tracks that seem to drill a hole in you head and spill your brains through your nostrils....I guess masochism is back in fashion... dark for me is MFG,FSOL,Sandman.....

Hmmm.. When you (all of you) say its good/bad, are you reffering to todays psytrance in relation with the older days?(90-99) The "todays" in the title question should mean just that, but I am wondering if many are not rating todays psytrance without comparing it to the past. If we take todays psytrance, without comparing it to what was before it,we could say that its ok music, good for raving on it once in a while....not that the vast majority of it is psychedelic in the true meaning of the world, its more "energedic" But if we (well at least I) even dare to compare it to its ancestors,we get a "WTF went wrong? " result.... You see,if there were only a few bad releases in those days there are only a few good releases these days...the places have reversed! And I cant keep my self wondering "WHY?".... We had all the possibilities of a superb evolution of the genre (technological super-leaps forward, solid bases to draw inspiration from, etc etc) but it ended in a shipwreck.... what caused it? money? fame? the expanding of the scene??? maybe we should have been even more elitist, and none of this would have happen?? but maybe then I wouldnt even be posting in this forum? Maybe we can blame it on the frenzy of coke and speed the replaced the good ol' mind expanders? I dont bother anymore with psy...I have my old gems, that I give a spin occasionally,so I dont forget what its all about and thats about it.... turning my self to more experimental soundscapes.....
