Sorry to hear that... I hope he/she didn't suffer too much! Try to use some music for some mental flight (as in flying)... helps me, dunno if trance is the best for you, but works for me (sometimes). But I do think it is good for reconsolidation, a couch/bed and some good music

wouldn't put them in any box really... and the mainstream progressive has lost most connections with the psychedelic scene anyway if you ask me although there has been a raise in good psychedelic progressive as the like of zenon (besides them of course) which has been termed zenonesque on Ektoplazm (especially Glitchy.Tonic.Records has some powerful releases)... check it out Mergi -

ED: just saw D5 is in comfort zone (I think you should get it anyway), but if not then as someone else mentioned Hedonix, besides Guerrilla Ontology (2013) they released their début album in 2009 (Order Out Of Chaos) if you missed that one back then, now might be the right time

Well... I just stumbled upon this track (Metaxid - Quantum State) in my music collection, soft acid a bit techno'ish but trancy at the same time.. the build-up it pretty awesome
I was wondering if you guys had any recommendations in this direction?
I found this one on youtube, kinda fits the bill as well, although a bit "stranger"... and I have no idea if that is the real artist name... DJ HEIMATMELODIE INTERKONTINENTAL?!
