Yeah, I still play some of the older stuff and sometimes it sounds every bit as good as when I first played it.

I can say it because I believe it. Even if Posford finally releases the third Hallucinogen album and even if it's his best work yet - it won't be enough to resurrect psy trance. As far as I'm concerned it's a dead duck lying face down in the water. 95% of the new stuff I hear is so incredibly tired and boring it amazes me that record companies think it worthy of releasing.

Vinyl. I know someone with a top-notch turntable (worth the best part of £4000) and it sounds beautiful; so warm and velvety and luxurious and proof, to my ears at least, that digital music failed in superseeding analogue in terms of reproducing beautiful sounds with the ability to reach into peoples souls and touch their heart. Digital music by comparison, although clearer, often sounds somewhat cold and sterile. If I didn't have such a big CD collection I'd love to buy a decent turntable. Alas.

Good on you for re-opening the thread, nemo. I don't have anything to post there at the moment but I'm sure I, and many others, will in the future. Israel and her neighbours are regularly at each other's throats so it makes sense having one thread where we can discuss what's happening.

It's rather an odd, not to mention an annoying, practise to lock threads because of what 'might' happen. Whatever happened to innocent until proven guilty? Can threads where someone might dare criticise Britain's actions be locked too because that's effectively why Pavel wanted it locked - heaven forbid anyone should criticise the holy Israel.
