    2007

On a personal level I feel certain 2007 will be much better than 2006 as all the albums I was looking forward to last year didn't materialise. On top of that it's already gotten off to a great start with the release of Prometheus' Corridor of Mirrors. Those hoping for a new Shpongle album should bear in mind Godford has stated on numerous occasion that Nothing Lasts... was Shpongle's swansong. We could possibly, maybe, if we're lucky, see a third Hallucinogen album but I've learnt not to talk about religious matters on Psynews so will say no more.
  15. I miss the melodies, they were dreamy and otherwordly. I also miss the ethnic influences, the soft, rich basslines, the analogue and organic sound hardware creates, the complex, clever multi layering and the psychedelicness of it all (today's 'psy' is NOT psychedelic by any stretch of the imagination). Most of all though I miss the spirit.
  16. Yes. For you and I both.
  17. you want me to give you one star?

  18. Then you're not welcome here, snowball. I suggest you pack your things and leave immediately.
  19. It was Queen's English you foreigner.
  20. It sounds nothing like Hallucinogen. Whether that's a good thing or a bad thing, I dunno , but either way it's a cracking album. I don't think it's better than Robot-o-Chan either, but it is as good.
  21. Artist: Prometheus Title: Corridor Of Mirrors Label: Twisted Records Catalogue Number: TWSCD31 Tracks: Arcadia Magik One Cell Short Of A Brain Drug Sock The Logic Of The Polyphonic 9th-(The Man Who Swam Through A Speaker) Soma Oz Cherry Pie (very short) Review: Compared to the fabulous, often-synthetic sounding debut album, Robot-o-Chan, this is a more organic, aggressive and technically accomplished collection of tracks. At times the album successfully recaptures the spirit of goa although it must be said always fleetingly. As with his debut album, Benji has created a highly stylised and uniquely atmospheric piece of work that is set firmly apart from the lacklustre, indiscernable trance sadly sweeping the scene today. The album is in no way perfect, indeed a couple of tracks miss the mark, but, all said and done, Corridor of Mirrors is Robot-o-Chan's equal and one of the most welcome releases the genre has seen in a long time. Buy it. Play it. Savour it.
