  1. I can. Anyone else remember all the Psysex promo pictures and such on their website... anyone... anyone? Regardless this is pretty much completely in line with what they were doing back then all along.
  2. Gladly but I haven't had a gig since 2007, much less interest in anyone flying me back to the US. New with the next album is the same as usual. Everything is finished but the artwork, still waiting on that.
  3. Rumour has it some guy calling himself Jikkenteki is from the US as well.
  4. Veracohr, etc: Don't worry, it wasn't you. I was flooded with messages from other sources about this whole mess.
  5. To my ears those parts seemed to be obvious samples. With this type of music there is simply no way you would get live crowd sounds in a recording without purposely putting them there. Even more so in this case as there has already been an Ubar Tmar live album.
  6. I bought this release when it was new and have seen the comments on Discogs about this being "live" but I have never been able to figure out were people got that idea from. I searched the CD and packing over and never found a single comment about it being live anywhere. That said it is another solid, if insane release from Ubar Tmar. If you like his brand of madness I'd recommend it. For others, it might take some getting used to.
  7. Deleted: Never mind. Getting nothing but criticism for this making it not worth the effort.
  8. Actually I am 99.7% sure he uses Logic (the .3% is in case he has changed since I last chatted with him). In PAR-2 releases, we have released stuff made on Cubase, FL Studio, Ableton Live and Sonar that I can recall for sure. Myself personally I have releasd tracks written on Cubase, Ableton Live and FL Studio, although 95% of my work is done in Cubase. In my experience the bulk of Psy artists out there use Cubase, although Live seems to be gaining some ground the past couple years. Artists I can personally confirm using Cubase: Phi, Slum, Symphonics, 11, Zekazy, Mr. Peculiar, Hydraglyph, Indra, NoiseAnamolie, Katapult. I haven't seen them use it personally, but Infected Mushroom claims to be of the Cubase cult. For FL Studio: Pretty much everyone ever released by 6 Dimension Soundz and the bulk of the Finland scene in general. For Ableton live: Chi-A.D. says this is what he uses now on his website. I know of some more artists using it, but am drawing a blank at the moment. Logic: Filteria as I mentioned above. Simon Posford is a well known Logic user, as is Benji Vaughan. These days I don't know, but I've been told that C.P.U. switched to Logic between the Biodegradable days and going solo. These are just examples I can think of off the top of my head.
  9. I feel you are wrong in your choice of words. As a musician there is a lot of music out there I can listen to and APPRECIATE and understand it is a quality work for its respective genre. With that said, I can APPRECIATE a work and still hate it. This is true for any form of art. There are many respected movies I have seen where I can instantly recognize the skill and craftsmanship that when into that piece of art, but at the same time completely dislike it for any number of reasons, most of which boil down to the piece simply doesn't speak to me. Recognizing and appreciating skill is an entirely different thing than like and hate. Hell I like a lot of things that I clearly recognize as having little to no value in an artistic sense and I equally hate just as many things that I also recognize as having high artistic value. I know many people who simply hate the Mona Lisa, yet it is considered one of the greatest works of art for its period.
  10. To be honest I was just randomly messing with stuff until I got something that worked to my ear. I probably clicked it a few times without paying much attention. (lol)
  11. Last I heard Ubar Tmar's primary occupation was writing music professionally for things like commercials, tv, and such so I'm sure he is still making music somewhere. However as the Ubar Tmar (and related name acts) he does seem to have vanished a bit as of late (or more likely I just haven't noticed anything after I dropped out of the scene here a couple years ago).
  12. Or the people like me who like them and have never done drugs period.
