  1. The difference between Trip Tonite and Trip Tonight (Rmx) is not very big, same melody, almost the same speed and so on... but still they're quite different in the feel, because Trip Tonite is more Chill while Trip Tonight (Rmx) is more tweaked and psyched. Trip Tonight (Rmx) is also longer, and the track seems much more expanded both in length and in the sound, the melody is no longer soothing instead Etnica has tweaked it into one wicked psychedelic layer. Trip Tonight (Rmx) will get 9/10, a very interesting track from beginning to the end. Hell's Kitchen is also a very twisted track, lot's of things going on, interesting breaks and a scary sort of atmosphere. Hell's Kitchen is slower and the sounds are more dark to the feel, actually the melodies in Trip Tonight (Rmx) and Hell's Kitchen is totally opposite of each other. Trip Tonight (Rmx) has a more positive vibe while Hell's Kitchen has a very twisted and gloomy vibe. Still Hell's Kitchen is a good track, not as interesting as Trip Tonite (Rmx) though. Hell's Kitchen will get 7/10. EP total 8/10...

    The Delta - Thing

At first I was pretty hesitant on reviewing this 12? as it?s been out for awhile and probably everybody who?s following The Delta has already got it, thus my review being kind of useless. But, to hell with that. The original ?Thing? from the album is to me one of the most powerful tracks to ever exist, it?s ten and a half minutes of thrilling orchestral minimal, filled with a pure horror soundtrack feel. So I just had to get this whenever I got the chance (as I don?t have credit card shopping online will be highly unwise as I need to pay more then), and I was lucky and found it at Milky Way Records a few days ago. The first track (d. edit remix) is as Stormbringer so well put it ?raw beat?, and that concept for this track is just a big disappointment. It just doesn?t work for me. The whole horror atmosphere is almost gone and it was the atmosphere and the orchestral sounds together with the progressive minimal stuff that made this track so unique. Now they?ve cut it down to six and a half minutes of ?raw beat?, not too good IMO? 6/10. Vinyl Edit on the other hand is a very well structured and a very well executed remix, excellent break somewhere in the middle which reflects a little from the original. It opens nicely with the trickling sounds of the strings, and they?ve added a new sound, a sort of mysterious melody enters early on and it coexist perfectly with the already ongoing horror atmosphere. But of course this one will not surpass the album version? 9.5/10. EP total? let?s make that an 8/10.
  3. #16... right. Pretty good though. The original Channel 59 from Nerve is way better than this remix of it, don't get me wrong it's still a good dark pumping track but it won't be able to compete with the original masterpiece. Solylun, the mighty melodic opening track from Electric Universe's Unify is real good actually, and I like it damn much, but I think there is a bunch of tracks on that cd which is much better. Profunk from Massimo Santucci is funky indeed, with a nice flow that sustains interest, it's very repetitive, but I still think it's a good track. I actually do not think this Cosma track is very interesting, it's pretty slow with noises rebounding a little now and then, ambient at times, but still, I don't think there's very much that is sounding good. First track on the cd is not that good either, it does not develop at all, I tend to like Ticon's original We Are The Mammoth Hunters, It's just as repetitive but it has more pressure. Last track feels more like chill, quite ambient with some guitar sequences, it's quite ok. Evolve from Tarsis is nice to listen to, I prefer to listen to this track at high volumes, not low because then it just feels empty. Schichtwechsel is very bad IMO, the Quarz track is one giant loop of repetitive and boring noise, if this is minimal I've heard much better. Space Safari's remix of The Summer Is Old is pretty ambient, repetitive, it's pretty ok, nothing I would like to listen to for long though. Jazzman, is what I would along with Delhi News call undefined music styles it just doesn't sound like the average psy/goa/minimal/ambient track IMO, not that I don't like it, quite the opposite actually I find the change interesting. Jazzman is a dark track, which I kind of like, just it has vocals and saxophone(?) sounds which just does not fit into the track. So that makes about 6.5/10 for the first CD which includes a few interesting tracks along with a few quite uninteresting ones. CD 2 opens with Oforia's remix of Power Up, which is a very good track IMO, nice psychedelic melodies accompanied by a heavy beat and twisted effects, though I still would prefer the original Power Up. Shrek is a pretty useless track, I find the track opening very promising but then it just spirals way out of control, nothing very sophisticated only a simple beat with some very boring sound effects throughout. Vector is interesting, filled with well crafted effects and dark melodies, good track. Witchkraft is a dark track, mystical atmosphere, lot's of twisted noises, ok track from Psychonaut. Granulate Fungi is a psychedelic track at it's very best, Space Buddha combines guitars, ambient song, and psychedelic frequencies into one very twisted track. Shining With You, I find it darker than the track title implies, it's a decent track repetitive, melody emerging later on, which makes the track even more darker than it was before, ok track from Lemurians. Let's Go To Mars is a slow mover, filled with lot's of scratch noises and heavy beats, Skazi track is pretty good. Psychedelic Knights is pretty full on, decent track, but there exist lot's of tracks from Musica Divinorum which is much better than this one, so it's not one of my favorite Talamasca track. Thorazin is effectful, powerful track, but I don't find it very good, there are some better tracks from Irritant IMO. Save Ass sounds a little like Skazi's track, slow and effectful with a bunch of heavy twisted scratching noises, ok track. CD 2 get's a 7/10. Goa Head Vol. 16 get's a 6.75/10 from, slightly better than Vol. 15 IMO.
  4. Moksha - Neuromystix Artist: Moksha Title: Neuromystix Label: BTM Date: 2000 Track listing: 01. 07'44" Alchemista 02. 07'12" Exit Rozekruis 03. 07'43" Magikal Gyve 04. 09'08" No Sense Incense 05. 08'47" Echelon 06. 08'35" Christosophia 07. 09'13" Incantation Vibration 08. 08'16" Liquid Jesus 09. 06'25" Agent Mystix Review: Third album from Moksha starts with the rather slow track 'Alchemista', it's pretty ambient, I'd say, one of the better tracks on this CD. Next track is 'Exit Rozekruis', a very boring track IMO. I do like the remix of this track much better than the original, it actually sounds very much like 'And Nothing Is Ever Lost' which I found just as boring. 'Magikal Gyve' has a mysterious atmosphere/feel to it, and a pretty dense beat, good track. 'No Sense Incense' is a very annoying track, the beat is way too exaggerated, and it persist for the whole nine minutes, and there is no development in the sounds whatsoever, very weak track IMO. 'Echelon' is a very hollow track, it's ok but it feels like there is something missing. 'Christosophia' is an outstanding track from this album, very good tribalistic beats, and a nice atmosphere throughout, the best track from the album IMO. 'Incantation Vibration' is a another good track, steady beat, interesting sounds, and a good atmosphere. 'Liquid Jesus' is another pretty boring track, it's still a little better than 'Exit Rozekruis'. And the last track is the worst on this CD IMO, 'Agent Mystix' is melodic, has also the same sort of beat and percussion as 'Exit Rozekruis'. Neuromystix is pretty average, I'd say. I like the Mindworx album much better than this one. Neuromystix total: 6.7/10...
  5. Reewo is real good, pretty slow I'd say but it's a very nice chill track... Different Tune is quicker and has more twisted effects throughout, but it is still a pretty boring track I'd say, I can listen to it for about 4 minutes then I want to hear something else. Reewo is excellent, Different Tune is quite boring. 7.5/10

    Etnica - Alien Protein

Yes... this is very good. This is a damn good old classic album with the right kind of vibes and psychedelic atmospheres. Good thing it's being re-released because everybody needs this one. 9.8/10
  7. Taifun is wicked...
  8. rush... really do rush. Amazing energy pumping album, I can't stand not listening to this. Wicked dream is interesting but way to slow to get you anywhere, it's real rush which makes you rush all over the fu##in' place. The gun sequence is real trippy, if you got a nice system or good headphones you might imagine being able to feel the bullet rushing by. Le Passage has an of-world feel to it, nice beat and a wicked melody. Year 2000 doesn't begin very well but the latter half really kicks... aquarium is slow, but it has a nice groove, nice rythm, nice guitarrs, a very good track, 2'33" is where it's best and it just get's better, "...hope you like a lil aquarium". Ama-zon is one of the least good tracks on the cd, opens promising but it just get's pretty boring after a while. Disco is another one of those nice fast psychedelic dance tracks like 'le passage' and 'real rush', it's very good actually, nice twisted noises, and good melodies. Freak show, I must say this one is really the worst track on the cd, it's a loop of boring noise, maybe a few rythmical shifts but the same noise persists. Second steps to the stars is great, not very fast, not very psychedelic, but hypnotic and melodic, 4'36" is where it get's interesting, great stuff. 8/10 for this real rush album.

    Navajo - Let's Fungaz

I like 'dropped in psyched out' better than 'Let's Fungaz'... probably because it has much more energy and nice long twisted scratching noises. Let's Fungaz is pretty good as well, nice psychedelic vibes throughout... I'd say this is a nice ep, 7.5/10.
  10. Kinetico - Sconoschiuto / Sincerity Artist: Kinetico Title: Sconoschiuto / Sincerity Label: Flying Rhino Date: 2001 Track listing: 01. 07'38" Sconoschiuto 02. 08'42" Sincerity Review: Pretty good EP, I'd say... first track 'Sconoschiuto' is pretty nice, morning inspired atmosphere with nice melodies, pretty repetitive but good anyway, 8/10. Second track 'Sincerity' is not very good, I think... it is filled with lot's of percussion and some twisted sounds, but it is just way too repetitive, 6/10... EP total: 7/10
  11. oh f###! errorhead just twists my brain segments to the edge... Lex Rex Perplex 8/10 - Errorhead 10/10...
  12. Moksha - And Nothing Is Ever Lost / Exit Rozekruis (Rmx) Artist: Moksha Title: And Nothing Is Ever Lost / Exit Rozekruis (Rmx) Label: BTM Date: 2001 Track listing: 01. And Nothing Is Ever Lost 02. Exit Rozekruis (Rmx) Review: "And nothing is ever lost" is a pretty decent track, nice beat, nice dark atmosphere with some weird noises in the background... but, after about 4-5 minutes I just get very bored. 6/10... "Exit Rozekruis (Rmx)" on the other hand is very good... opens ambient, kicks of with some tribalistic percussion, twisted effects throughout. It has a real good dark ambient atmosphere. 9/10... EP total 7.5/10...

    Chi-ad - Creeping Gravity

Creeping gravity is a very interesting track... psy and sort of sofisticated in the effects, just can't get enough of the melody entering the track in the middle... Pathfinder 2000 AD is good, but not as good as the original one, it still has that wicked goa feel to it. I don't have this EP so rating it will be impossible, but I sure would get it if I find it...
  14. On further listening, stormbringer may have a valid point, there's an odd mix of tracks making me, unfortunately, able to chop it down to 7/10... but still, the tracks, I think, is still good... I wouldn't say the tracks are bad... The Flash (8/10), Excalibur (6.5/10), Mortal Problem (6.5/10), Negotium (7/10).
  15. Sonic Fusion vs Impact - The Flash Artist: Sonic Fusion vs Impact Title: The Flash Label: Hadshot Haheizar Date: 2001 Track listing: 01. 5'45" The Flash 02. 7'20" Excalibur 03. 6'31" Mortal Problem 04. 6'16" Negotium Review: This is a nice psychedelic full on 12". Opens with The Flash, a pumping beat enters immediately followed later with a nice psychedelic sequence, a real nice full on psychedelic track which keeps the vibe runnin'. Also existing on Sonic Fusion's new album... Next track is Excalibur, more ambient, latter half of the track is real good, first half might become a little boring. Still overall a good ambient track. B side opens with Mortal Problem, guitar track right through, psychedelic, pretty good stuff. There's a track from Sonic Fusion & Impact on the compilation Guitars On Mushroom 2 which has the name Mortal Combat, I need to ask because I haven't heard the track on the compilation... is this the same track? This EP ends with Negotium, feels like we're back to the beginning, nice pumpin' beat, and a psychedelic sequence entering later on... This 12" is actually quite good, psychedelic throughout, and no real bad tracks. 8/10...
  16. Necton - Rumpfunk / Junkpunk Artist: Necton Title: Rumpfunk / Junkpunk Label: Spirit Zone Date: 2001 Track listing: 01. 10'45" Rumpfunk 02. 09'00" Junkpunk Review: Opens with Rumpfunk, this track is nothing too special I think. It's quite progressive but still not very full on. Some pretty interesting effects throughout, gives this track a pretty good sound, but it doesn't sustain interest for long, though. 6.5/10... Junkpunk delivers a more twisted sound, some pretty weird samples can be heard at times. Junkpunk delivers a more dark sound, which I find much better than Rumpunk. 8.5/10... EP total: 7.5/10. And the cover looks a little the same as their album cover (B12 Cocktail), just they've made it more darker...
  17. Son Kite - Youngel / Prefiation Artist: Son Kite Title: Youngel / Prefiation Label: Flying Rhino Date: 2001 Track listing: 01. 09'31" Youngel 02. 09'54" Prefiation Review: As you might figure from the name of the EP, this one has a lot of tribal influence. Starts with Youngel, has a tribal feel to it, a little ambient but still no melodies, effectful, get's more powerful in the end. 7.5/10... B side with the weird track Prefiation, I think the bassline reminds me a little of the bassline used in Hux Flux's Errorhead. Prefiation has a little more funky feel to it, twisted effects, and a beat that kicks. 8.5/10. EP total: 8/10

    V/A - Goa Head 15

V/A - Goa Head 15 Artist: Various Title: Goa Head 15 Label: Nova Tekk Date: 2001 Track listing: CD 1 01. 07'37" Feuerhake : La Aurora (Sweet Attack Rmx) 02. 09'21" Massimo Santucci : Libidine Motorica 03. 07'55" Space Tribe : Out Of Control 04. 11'45" Chi-ad : Liquid Neon Sky 05. 10'13" Etnica : Hell's Kitchen 06. 08'03" Psycho Abstract : Tia Puta 07. 06'23" Amphasis : Spark 08. 07'27" GMO : Seven Weeks 09. 08'18" Xenophonic : Sonnenlicht CD 2 01. 09'00" DJ Sangeet : Rascuno 02. 10'30" Zerotonine : Titanium Cluster 03. 07'45" Sonus : Atonhall 04. 06'47" Lando : The Shark Attack 05. 08'22" Sphere : Outside 06. 06'34" Sonnenvakuum : Tiefenrausch 07. 08'29" Micro.Dot : Moonjelly 08. 08'03" Four Carry Nuts And Alex : The Healer 09. 08'23" SUN Project : Setting Up For Flying Now Review: Number fifteen and kickin'? at least CD I, CD II is actually pretty bad, has some good tracks, but not many. Let's start from the beginning. CD I opens with Feuerhake - La Aurora, this one is more a melodic chiller, quite ambient with some Mexican sounding (guitar) sequences hinted at times. Massimo Santucci - Libidine Motorica, ambient, brings forth a melodic layer which I have a feeling I've heard before. Space Tribe - Out of Control, finally the compilation is picking up some speed, space tribe delivers a more psy influenced track, a sample tells us "this is most out of control", but I think it could have been just a little more out of control. CHI-A.D. - Liquid Neon Sky, from his upcoming Earth Crossing, now we're getting somewhere, delivers as always a very powerful track, psychedelic, powerful melodic sequences, very good track. As we travel further into this CD it's getting more psyched, Etnica brings us Hell's Kitchen, it's got a darker sounding feel, twisted melodies. Psycho Abstract - Tia Puta, this is progressive, a mysterious twisted track, it's maybe a little too repetitive though. Amphasis - Spark, we're still goin' progressive, and this is mighty powerful beat kickin', feels like there is some tribal inspiration going on here. GMO - Seven Weeks, the compilation is starting to cool down, still quite progressive, but now much more ambient, and melodic, Seven Weeks is at it's best in the latter half of the track. Xenophonic - Sonnenlicht, feels like minimal, steady beat, psychedelic effects throughout the track, interesting bassline arriving 5'07", gives the track some more power? CD I pretty good, though could have been just a little more psychedelic. 8.5/10 for CD I. CD II opens with DJ Sangeet - Rascuño, stays pretty much the same throughout the whole track, brings some ambient sequences, but that's pretty much all. Zerotonine - Titanium Cluster, progressive beat pumpin', psyched effects. S:O:N:U:S - Atonhall, still kickin', but this one just get's very boring after a few minutes. Lando goes on slow, still quite progressive, lacks some sort of development, is just the same throughout the track. Sphere - Outside, ambient progressive with some very bad vocals, the vocals don't seem to fit into the track. Sonnenvakuum - Tiefenrausch, just don't get going, steady beat throughout the track. Micro.Dot - Moonjelly, same thing here, doesn't seem to evolve at all, steady beat with some twisted effects, which seems to go on forever. Four Carry Nuts feat. Alex, this is good, this really saved CD II from hitting the trash can, FCN delivers a more psychedelic track, progressive, with some nice guitar layers emerging at times, mysterious ambient at times. S.U.N. Project delivers a slow psychedelic effectful track, not as good though as the track before? CD II is just very repetitive, Zerotonine and FCN feat Alex is the only tracks which have a flow that sustains interest, 4.5/10 for CD II. Goa Head 15 total: 6.5/10
  19. This is good, but not excellent... opens with a psy track, quantum flux brings us twisted effects and a flow that kicks. Photon generator is more psy ambient, nice melodic sequences. Gravity well, is an effect pumpin' track, could though become rather repetitive. Vortex is one of the better, begins with nice melodic sequence, then kicks of the psychedelic effects and in the end combines both, pretty powerful at high volumes. Nanobots, the track is as it's name, a few maybe a little ridiculous effects, quite repetitive, steady beat. Interstellar Asylum feels more Ra inspired, this more mysterious sounding effects and melodies. Temporal distortion has a greater feel, somewhat more powerful melodies and effects than some of the other tracks. Neuron tranceiver is another more psyched track, feels like it was a little inspired from 'Interstellar Asylum'. Chromatic Aberration is a slow mover, melodic and not too psyched like the other tracks... This album is perfectly good but it feels like somethings missing. 7.5/10
  20. What suprise me at a first listen to this, is the sort of mature sound it delivers for being from 96. I believe this must have almost been the only real psy/goa trance sounds emenating from the 96 trance scene... and it does indeed deliver mindsweeping, and mindblowing tunes which is arranged very good. Opens with Guardian Angel, a psychedelic twisted tune who is going to be literally forcing everyone in it's near vicinity to get up on their feets and start jumpin'. Goes on with magnetic, a little more dreamy tune but still sustains that real heavy beat. Then we have of course ice cube, which moves quite slow, but has the nice beat pumpin effects and melodic sequences... and the cd just keeps on getting more massive and more heavier all the time. This is one hell of a masterfully composed piece of art... 9/10
  21. I've got these songs a little seperated... one on Destination Goa 10, and one downloaded. But they really got the kicks, Serial Overtypes with that little dark twist, psychedelic effects and a nicely emerging melody in the end. Fire Wire being a little more calm and progressive, melodic I'd say. 8/10
  22. Sorry... First in the 'Aviation Terminal' serie by Avatar, but that's quite obvious by now. Hopefully there'll be more terminals with deep psychedelic flights.
  23. V/A - Aviation Terminal 1 Artist: Various Title: Aviation Terminal 1 Label: Avatar Date: 2001 Track listing: 01. 07'46" Cosmosis : The Cave Of Medusa 02. 08'15" Three State Logic : Chromium Dioxide (Synchro Rmx) 03. 08'08" RL : Flush Gordon 04. 09'26" Toï Doï : Replicant 05. 06'28" Manmademan : Deliverance 06. 07'00" Parasense : Kopeika 07. 09'20" Gorlation Corporation : Shell 08. 08'36" Avatar : Sanghi Jetti 09. 07'18" Voodoo People : Arrival Review: First full length compilation from Avatar records, packed with some really nice flight tunes. Opens with the deep Cave of Medusa by Cosmosis, begins with a nice deep trance vibe, and in the middle kicks of with a psychedelic melody which will keep you flying. Next track is more dark to the sound, chromium dioxide is more progressive and melodic, steady beat with nice bassline. RL brings us an effect packed track, really sharp melody emerging in the end. Toi Doi with the massive Replicant, quite progressive with a massive melody. This one is one of the better tracks. Next track will keep on rockin', ManMadeMan gives us the psychedelic guitar vibe which just kicks major booty, probably the best track on this compilation. Parasense with Kopeika, is another effectful track, steady beat, this one is a little too repetitive. Gorlation Corporation with a really twisted track, effectful melodies, nice psychedelic noises in the background. Sanghi Jetti, is a slow mover, Avatar brings us a melodic chiller. The flight ends with a morning inspired track, nice bassline, wicked effects, and ass kickin' melodies, Voodoo people with Arrival is a progressive masterpiece. This compilation is packed with lot's of different tracks, bringing a variations which sustains some interest, though it could have been just a little better. 8/10
  24. Dark and progressive... opens with orange, steady beat with some really nice effects. Polen Peltsche still got that heavy beat, but this one is more ambient than the first one, really great when the melodic sequence enters halfway into the track. Frau Schaele, progressive with nice bassline, included is of course some wicked dark effects. Candy from the strange side is probably one of the better tracks on this album, the track has a very nicely created atmosphere, dark, nice groove, and a nice vibe kickin' in at 4:07. ASCII Porn, the darkness seem to clear a little here instead giving way for a more effectful track, this one is still quite calm like most of the tracks on this CD. Maracas is a little more trippy, and jumpy, has a funky groove. Blue void is filled with more ambient inspired effects. WM Baelle, we're back to a more effectful track, but this one is more jumpy, the sounds are a little more distorted. This is a good album and I really like Polen Peltsche with that really great melodic sequence, that track really kicks. But some of the other tracks are a little too repetitive, could have needed more variations. 7/10
  25. This is a album packed with the latest of the most massive and progressive sounds yet... travelling at the speed of thought being the best one, thing, as a child. and pop coming up close by... 10/10, literally the best psychedelic trance act of this century...
