If this was the D-team, would you please define who would play for the teams B and C? This wasn't an awful team by any means, what it lacked was a true center, they decided to bring a bunch of powerforvards with no offensive skills whatsoever instead (Wallace, A. Davis, JermO). True, the top dogs didn't participate, but that's not the point at all; The point is, they thought they wouldn't have to play, they thought the US -team would win no matter who played for the team... Unfortunately, the rest of the world didn't think so. So, at the end of the day, arrogance was the reason that landed you on the 6th spot (nice game, Spain, Pau Gasol means business). So, what happens now? Team USA (please, none of that Dream Team -crap anymore) will have to fight for it's place in the Olympics... What do you think, are we going to see the NBA-stars lining up willing to serve their country next july when the qualifying games kick off? Not bloody likely. Besides, in Sydney, Lithuania was only seconds away from eliminating the USA-team of top-tier NBA-stars... Like it or not, the world is not that far behind any more when it comes to 5 vs. 5 on the hardfloor (The differences in the width of material are still obvious). A team of Kidd, McGrady, Garnett, Duncan and Shaq would still win it no matter the opponent, but it's unlikely that such team will ever be on court together.

He won't, but he'll get his minutes at both, 1 and 2. What he needs to do is to develop a more consistant jumper. I really like his style, he is a huge guy for a PG and pushes the ball up-court really well, he has the skills to challenge his guy and take the ball to the hole, plus he is a decent defender (again, his size and quickness will make him look very good against lot of PGs in the League). But jump-shot, he needs a better jump-shot.

Basketball is the best game on earth. I'm also very glad for the Yugos. Next time, though, A. Miller and Brand will wup Divac's and Stojakovic's arses... Go Clips go, go all the way!!! Look at their starting 5: 1: A. Miller 2: Q. Richardson 3: Odom (if healthy) 4: Brand 5: Olowokandi Plus the deepest bench in the League: Jaric, Dooling, Piatkowski, Maggette, Wilcox, Ely, Rooks. How fockin' good is that?! They'll run circles around just about every other team there is, I reckon (read: I hope). Can't wait till November!
