  1. okay, i'm still stuck with 2 mixes.. Summoning of Earth Warriors and Mycotrophic Civilization.. these are just.. i don't know.. perfect.. track selection is great, mixing is great.. i mean, who is this guy? what he is mixing? vinyls/cd/dats/mp3/cassettes/?

if haven't heard of him before, but if he's going to dj at a party, i sure would want to be there..

    great mixes!

    i mean, really great!

    L.

I absolutely agree with this.. I have a few shoom mixes on my harddisk and his stuff just gets better with every listen.

  2. Hey,

this is my newest creation and I can say that this is probably the most detailed of my productions so far. This track is pure Dark Sci-Fi I guess. Its a very epic track consisting of two parts, and its not just dark, its even getting quite melodic and picks up more drive towards the end.

    heres the link for you:

Note that this track will also be released on the coming cosmic flower compilation.

One word about the mixing/mastering: I tried to make all the elements balanced quite equally to each other. So the leads are not really in the foreground mix wise, to give the fx and ambience more space to breathe. It seems like it works to me.

Your comments are really much appreciated! Enjoy! :)

  3. This is veeery minimal. Quite atmospheric and sad. I think when I am in the right mood, I will really like this.

Did I hear an Absynth patch there on misanthropic dimension? :P

Anyway, you have some good drone sounds, keep it up!

  4. hello cybernetika... . Yes, i do this. the dance floor jump any times..... jejeje.... thanks for the comment and... i leave for you, one link with the party photos ( a costa del sol 6,7 and 8/04/2007 malaga-spain) http://djdniproducer.multiply.com/photos/album/50

Thanks for the photos! A wonderful place for sure :)

I listened to the compilation with brasilian artists only and I have to say you got some very talented producers there!

    peace&keep it up!

  5. Ableton Live is like its name suggests made for live performances. So this means if you like to produce music "live" with a midi controller/keyboard, or even to play some live gigs, Ableton is a good choice. FL is often called a program for beginners because of its "cheap looking" interface. Yes, FL is probably the best sequencer program if youre a beginner, but it can do almost everything a professional tool can do. FL also works in a very intuitive way. I always say, if you want to get your ideas into sound fast, use FL.

Which sequencer you use is just a matter of your personal preference. Someone made this very good comparison to cars: Some might look better than others and have more features than others, but all of them get their job done and take you from A to B.

  6. Nonono, dude. It worked perfectly!

I really like the tunes in here... it's a crazy ride from highcosmos' funky hyperactive psy, to real spooky stuff by xyla.. to atmospheric dark trance a la CPC (I really love the new CPC album)... it all works so well! you should ask the guys at triplag.com if they put this on air, theyre always looking for fresh mixes.

    It's a great ride! :)

  7. That's right, but they move only slightly. I dont fully understand how it works. You have to watch the yellow bars, look where they got their peaks, and put the slider below that peak.. that's what I do, and it kinda works. This is not the miracolous mastering recipe, but should do the trick for a really quick mastering. I still leave "real" mastering up to the pros :)

  8. If you want to do a really quick mastering in Wavelab and with the Waves Plugin bundle..

Add "Waves C4", select preset "multi electro mastering". Adjust all "threshold" sliders for all 4 bands so that theyre as high as the yellow bar.

Then bring up the level analyzer of wavelab. Add "Waves L2", set limit to -0.3. Now adjust the threshold of the L2 and watch the level analyzer. There you will see two pairs of numbers. One shows -0.3, the other one should show something like -8.

I made a stupid picture for you :P

  9. Hey guys, chill! :)

Chis just said he doesnt like my new style. Nothing to worry about. Anyone should be encouraged to give their opinions about my music in a thread. I appreciate positive and negative opinions equally. And I dont get offended by criticism, as long as its not insulting. Chis said he doesnt like the development of style, or maybe even doesnt like Dark Psy at all. Opinions are like assholes, everyone got one. :P .. so, really no problem with that. If you want to become better, you need to take other people's criticism into account.

One thing tho, I wont change my style because of the opinions of others. Cybernetika is always the platform for MY music, the style of music I like, the style of music I am connected with. So if my taste changes, my music changes too, and theres nothing you could do about it ;)

Besides, that album actually got quite a lot of melodies, at least much more than many Dark Psy releases of nowadays.

  10. I've listened two times in a row now, if it makes you feel better ;)

I'm not such a huge fan of Planet B.E.N. .. have never been, and this track wont change it. This very deep track is an ok introduction though. When the melody comes in, it gets better. Stuff flows very smoothly into track 2 then. I like Juno Reactor much more, this one is a real classic. The transition to track 3 is okay, considering how hard it is to mix most Juno Reactor tracks (I've tried it myself :P). So now MWNN with one of my fave tracks by him, great stuff! We had our euphoric high, things get more twisted now with KoxBox. Smoothly we get back up again with "X-Files". Never heard this track, but sounds great! And it flows excellently into next track, another WOW :) ... I was liking the mix, but this is really the WHOW moment of it! next transition is a little odd. I love guitars in Goa as long as theyre well done. I know some have a problem with guitars, but me not. Nice idea to twist the mix into darker areas with an early Xenomorph track.

Thanks for sharing. I honestly dont have any goa memories, I'm quite fresh into this music, but I was feeling the mix. Recommended ;)
