2022 was an interesting year and it was cool to read what you all have been up to. I have also disconnected for quite some time, but I have worked in other sectors other than music and that was the main reason, I had to have a better job as you all know how hard is to make a living with music. Last year also saw the release of some interesting albums, that you have already cited in a number of posts and it was indeed refreshing to hear the remake of Indoor classics with modern technologies.
Speaking of which, I found very interesting that a number of old school producers embraced a mixed style of production, with modern mixing and technology but with a bit of an old school nostalgia, it seems that it finally caught with them that making boring full on with triplets wasn't the best way of producing music, perhaps that, perhaps they rediscovered the love for melodies and scales and more variety in production, but that is just my point of view.
I have restarted djing in 2022 after almost 2 years of pause (well we also had a pandemic in between) and it was great. I recently met a bunch of you guys, including Joske in Goa and that was an amazing experience, it seems there is a ferment and that there is a chance to play old school goa in Goa again, after so long. It was very interesting and we all had a great time.
This 2023 seems promising already and there will also be more releases on the labels I work with ^^.
hey mate, goa in goa you say??? now theres a go!

Thank you for the Indoor recommendation @Basilisk!
I love both Ofer and Avi and, somehow, never learned of or listened to Indoor until about 04 or 05 years ago (same with Tandu).Good good stuff =)
those indoor reworks are real killah, digging some of them more than the originals, and some of the b sides he posted last month are pretty cool also

some good stuff here, thanks for the heads up

was certainly a colourful character, and he and i definatley had our arguments, but disabled or not, some of the things he said about people, especially women was horrendous and there lied the problem

the 1997 remix of Space Dwarfs was really nice, dont think ive heard that version before. Although the main difference seem to be the kickdrum. I like the 1998 version better i think, it doesnt sound as compressed. The acid however on this one is a bit wilder tho and i like that =)
ok
yeah, hard to believe so many good tracks still showing up that never got released, nice one suntrip, hoping you keep this series going

fair enough granpa. but honestly you could do much better than those hd280 pro, you have a whole world of headphones to chose from, no need for any parallell imports. akg k812, focal spirit, at r70x or beyer dt 1990 pro just to name a few.. and if you like sennheiser than a vintage HD540 is just amazin
i think will just stick with what i got, if it aint broke and all that, couldn't break these if you try

WF-1000XM3 is what i used for a while and thought they were pretty good. but i had it on loan from a friend and returned them after we became incommunicado. no matter, still have the sennheiser IE-8. but with phones no longer having 3.5 i have to use a freaking dongle with built in dac.
btw to the senior above maybe you should think about upgrading those ancient plasticy crappy things to something you can actually enjoy.. its your golden years isnt it? you deserve some proper cans while you enjoy that whiskey after your great grand kids finally left the house and took that bloody dog with them
what's that you say there sonny?? i have acute earing
that ancient plastic crap is doing just fine, they have been kicked, thrown at dark psy dj's, and thrown in the air for real breaks and still look like they come out of the box, unlike the fry your brain cordless i rubbish you AI kids listen to and throw away for the latest upgrade, in the mean time i get to spend the money you spend on crappy chinese parallel imports on real whiskey whitlin on the porch- 1

nice set but it's very clear the hallucinogen project is gone for good.
had always hoped he would do 1 more halluciongen album just to prove he can, but the reality of it is he don't need to prove anything, simon truly has his own sound back and pushing other boundaries away from traditional goa.the studio is where his passion lies, on his terms with no promoters no travelling and no stupid demands.
look forward to the new project on the horizon- 1

awsome, thanks much appreciated for us who couldn't be there

Simon saw it? I had contacted him for maybe doing a whole album's worth of Twisted Music material, but he never replied (I guess because the cost was prohibitive)... Could you link to his comment?
was on a shpongle facebook site, but he did say he liked it

Well fuck yeah!
That was a true blast.
While I was excited to hear Sandman, I was blown away by how much that ruled. I have a new found respect and love for him now.
So many fantastic and wonderful sets, so stoked Andrew Till, Nick Taylor, and Texas Faggott got to share some funky and twisted tunes.
Looking forward to whatever comes about at the next one!
videos looked amazing!
