    All those speculations, and no one here has seen them live yet? :D I heard 'Humans will play for robots' on last year's Heat Seaker from HOM-Mega (except for AP a crappy album btw) and saw them at Aurora last summer, they blew me away. Oldschool melodies with modern production. I don't think I'll be disappointed, and I pretty much despise modern full-on, so that means something.. :P

    Too bad he's not around any more...

     

    He did an awesome 3-hour DJ-set a couple of months ago in Belgium (Trance Dimensions), didn't spin a lot of his own music but still kick-ass, he knows how to select his tracks ^^

    @Djuna: You probably know most of it, but again, I guess your taste matches Cronomi Records, Space Baby Records and maybe also a few other 'freelance'-artists such as Arronax, Innerself & Liquid Mind... I enjoy their music a lot, but since my childhood I've always been attracted by larger-than-life cheeze, so that's my main preference B)

    Though there are some decent artists you mentioned, it's strange that you don't hear the difference between them and Deviant Electronics for example... By the way, it doesn't have to be "dark". Green Nuns were quite melodic, yet they had that raw acid sound, with a lot of humour. Just got my hands on Rock Bitch Maffia, and damn, Klunk is such a sweet song! :D

    Hi guys, I've been experimenting with voice samples from movies or other sources and I was wandering what is the best way to clear the sample? What effects do you recommend and what EQ parameters? I can EQ sample pretty well but I can still hear static (when I have lower quality sample), so what is the best way to mask this static noise?

     

    Buy the dvd! Really, I compared a sample I made out of a youtube clip and compared it with the same sampled quote from the dvd I bought, and it's quite a difference. :) High quality audio is pretty rare on the internet.

    I guess it's also one of the more difficult things to master, do have any friends you can get help from? Aæways good to see how other people approach these kinds of challenges!

    Yes indeed, I know a few people who also make really interesting music or who are very creative, but distance and especially time are a bit of a problem. I guess we all know that :D I go to some friends from time to time, but I don't really have partner in crime - yet ^^

     

     

    Has nothing to do with energy dude (well it actually sort of do) :P mixing is mostly about adjusting the different sound levels, making room for the different sounds to stand out...

     

    I think he thinks it was about DJ-mixing ^^

    yea man this is darkpsy and done with rebirth! 2:11 dig the bassline , really subtle!

    drums are really full of anger and madness.

    4:42 really nice acid line man !! mystical....

    if you would play this at a party , you would roast , burn and smash all them darkpsyers with Rebirth ;)

    In general it is very well done , it's full of madness , some mysticism , some subtle basslines and drums full of anger and weirdness.

    If that's what you wanted you got it :)

    You also proved that old software never sounds old , it just depends of the person who uses it.

    well the inspiration is not possible to miss :P very nice to hear some tribute to the old masters!

     

    I guess u already know this yourself but some more work on the mixing would serve the track well, get it out of the box :P cus I think the music is in there, it just needs to be let out!
