  2. I've listened to the samples of both of this guy's albums on saikosounds, and his stuff just sounds monotonous to me. Am I just missing the point or do I need to be stoned or something?

My favourite album of the year is still Waves from inner space. The more I listen to it, the more I realise what an amazing piece of work it is.

not for fame is not that good but uncanny beats must be the most variated, tripped out dark psy I have ever heard....

trust me it will be rememberd as a classic album ...

  3. better then Not For Fame? .. should check it out

dude it's psykovski ³ ... no seriously it's nowhere near not for fame. it's in the same style as the track on nritya shastra ....

it's fast highly psychedelic and even beatiful .... the best piece of music I have ever heard !!!

  4. yeah it is precise enough. You can adjust on the fly. Most vinyl DJs are quite capable of correcting the beatmatch on the fly. CD players make it even easier..almost cheating :P

besides theres bpm counters and such.

endless discussion ... if it works for you, good :) For me it's really not precise enough, even with 0.02% I have to adjust regularly to keep the beats as tight as possible

btw ppl use the bpm counters only as an indications cuz they are ... not precise enough

  5. the 800s and 1000s have 'vinyl mode'... Takes care of that uh-uh-uh-uh when you pause it, and makes it so you can scratch... Which isn't really necessary for psytrance... The 1000s have a sampler, if Im not mistaken... Which is only good if you know what you're doing...

Other than that, the 200s have pretty much the same deal. .05 pitch adjustment, effects... Minimal buttons (VERY important I discovered). Digital out...

Yeah Id say get the cheap decks and get the nice mixer. I've heard good things about the DJM-909 (Pioneer)

But hell, if you got the money to burn Id say by all means go for broke and get the 1000s.

don't ever buy a cdj 800 !!! it's pitch resolutions is only 0.05% wich is not precise enough ...

=> if scratching is a must buy a cdj 1000 in all other cases don't hesitate and buy the cdj 200 !!!!

  6. Unfortunately dissapointing for me... Too much full on influences which is pretty strange because 1 year ago he played on a party of me and it was mad music (like the UDD tracks that were for download)... get some other Finnish/swedish cds instead...

    severe but so true ...

  7. 5th edition, same concept ... forest and suomi sounds all party long ...

Within the mind, a dark vortex can suck you into infinity, here you will meet Bodhi, and your spectacular surroundings will be equally represented with strange and complex audio frequencies. Not intended for easy listening, this series of channelled frequencies is very hard, dark, and complex, yet somewhat uplifting.

  9. Many emails, eh? Sounds strange. I have been known to miss (or just forget to reply to) the occasional mail  but if you mailed me many times it sounds like maybe you sent it to the wrong adress or something..?

Either way, tho, I don't have much material or time left over for another compilation release atm. It would have to wait until after the album.

yeah I mailed you at least 2 times on this address : *********** (changed by moderator) (september 2006 and january 2007)

anyway I will contact you again soon ...

    cheers

    :)

  10. Looks like I'll be playing a 'forest' set soon in a month or so (@ 00-00)... so I'm looking for recommendations from something like Glowing Flame Records (Imaginary Sight / Trold), Kluster to a bit more night sounding tunes.

    :)

check gi'iwa's latest releases (musica discordia, sattle battle, sienis) and liquit quit (vertigo)

    for more nighttunes

    the usual suspects :

    derango, gow,bodhisattva 13 : 20, ....

p.s. I replied to you on email ...

    cheers

  11. I would say its more like two subgenres, while forest is the more dark twisted wierd stuff, while suomi is normally more light funky weird... I guess that might not make any sense.... but thats how I see it.

Well if u wanna hear some forest try listen to Boldly Audio (Sanaton Audio) or just some Derango ;) and if u wanna listen to some suomi try Texass Faggott or Squaremeat, just to get a feel of the vibe! And antiscarp.com is full of nice and free compilations and albums for free dl. (I think I actually sent u a like for this one some time ago ;) )

    I agree for a 100%

  12. As you see in teh topic I have just fallen in love with the above mentioned lables and was wondering other one that release similar styles?

    Ta,

    Mike :D

    try :

exogenic, thirteen productions, surreal audio, psy-harmonics, 6 dimension soundz, antiscarp, fabula, ....
