  1. If he's got two and it's indeed BPC, buy me one :D

heh i hope so, could be my mind playing tricks on me, i was raiding the store for some goa / psy releases and the only thing that came close were "infected mushroom's" Classical Mushroom" and i remember looking at the top shelf and i saw what looked like a "blue cover" saying Blue planet - something" can't remember exactly, we were in a rush. but that's all i remember.

I really hope that that's the cd, i actually remembered that one because, i vaguely remembered that some cd called blue planet something was discussed in this forum.

Oh btw, did "celldweller" release any psy by any chance, i bought his album today.

  2. OMG!! I was shopping earlier today and came across this cd in a store "Tp-musik" here in copenhagen strøget.

didn't know if it was that rare, i'll problably go back tommorow to buy it, it was quite cheap actually, but i can't remember if it were that cd exactly!

  3. I've been listening to Eat Static's Myspace for some time now, and i must say that Loride Sloucher Has grew immensely on me now.

At first i listened to it with disgust, such random tunes and i felt there were no harmony at all, but after my 5-6th listen i began to simply love it, i get really emotional when i listen to it, it's a really nice song, wish i could hear the whole album ;(, it's on my wishlist Eat Static's "Back To Earth"

It's a really complex song, i can actually hear the emotions that has been put into this song at different parts of the song, i feel a slight oriental touch emitting from it's twisted center, it's like a perfect strawberry marzipan pie, so delicious!!

  4. Headspin is "calm"????

I'm not losing hope on you yet  , and recommend you to check it again, try also Moon In Your Window, Etnica - Resistance, and, hell, even Pleiadians - Electra!

But from what I can deduce from the links you posted this indeed might not be the things you like. To be honest, the tracks you posted sound bad to me, but to each his definition of psy, and Trance.

SO I think that, as Caffein said, Yahel might suit your taste. Another great psytrance album is the Crystal Skulls series (Mystery and Secret of the 13 crystal skulls) by TIP World. I think that's the best "modern" psy I've heard yet (but I haven't checked alot). Try perhaps also Silicon Sound - Pure Analog.

+1 to everything you just said! :D

    Great minds think alike :D

  5. the first thing popping up in my mind when you mentioned IM was "Yahel" He makes some melodic (psy)trance as well. many would argue over it, but he makes somewhat the same kind of music as IM did before the Supervisor Album. You might allso try some of Juno Reactors older stuff.. he made some good things in the past, but for god's sake avoid the last two albums, it'll make you cry.

For now i can't come up with more. the Psy geeks will probably fill you in much better than i can :D

  6. Just ordered it yesterday! - i am looking foward to it!!

I was almost at the point of writing to mars to send it to me since there wasn't any Ra 9th cd's out there.

But psyshop suddenly had some more! so now i'm waiting for it.

    Soon very soon!!!

  7. My first live set in the electronic world of things was in 1999 I believe at a student run bar across the street from my uni in Japan. I honestly can't remember too much about how it went as I get that and the next couple of live sets I did at the same place confused (can't remember which gig was which anymore), but it went well enough I guess.

Interestingly enough my first DJ'ing gig was in early Sept 2001 just before going back to America and it was also the first time I ever tried to DJ. So basically my first attempt at beat matching vinyl was done live on the decks at a large school party with everyone dancing. Coming from a musical and studio background it was pretty obvious what I was supposed to be doing and actually my first ever attempt at beat matching went off without a problem (can't say that was true the whole night, but it was all fun in the end). I left Japan a couple days later and stayed with a friend in San Fransisco for two weeks. He'd been djing for about a year and a half at that point and after about the first week he was mad because I was as good as him after a week. Maybe I'm just gifted (which I highly doubt), but I've never understood what people find so hard about DJing.

You don't doubt! - you are idd a internet god! your skills don't match anyone! go home tiesto! Jikken is in da house!! THA ROOF THA ROOF THA ROOF IS ON FIRA!

You cannot be serious by saying that you think you're not gifted?!. you have talent and will! those are the things that matter! ;D

I sincerely suck at dj'ing, my every attempt ends in suck. im a klutz in front of a mixerpult. (i failed miserably last year in front of some friends at a really small party.)

Go with peace! - and let there be plur and nice things! :D (gotta go to sleep soon, left eyelid closing... arrg!)

  8. Rant On dude :D

This is a place of care ( i read it and i apreciated your concerns, i'll now redirect you to the manager of care: Pavel)

But i share your concerns, FullOn often has problems with making new music as it's hard for 145 bpm music to have new and ingeniously made basslines.

Just listen to some gataka or sesto sento basslines.. they're all the same, i grew tired of full on, and it's indeed rare that i enjoy full on music.

but tbh, full on is very danceable because the basslines makes it easier for people to predict the music, and that's why most psy-trance is Full on.

it prolly also be easier to make crappy full on, i feel that all full on artists just copy standard beats from fruity loops without concerns. Quick factory made ones (only for the money, and no care for the love of music, or my ears for that sake :( ..)

That's probably why labels do so much of "promoting" their artists, it's really up to the label's integrity rather than the artists.

But nevertheless, it's always good to have a resume of what the artists has done in the past, i knew nothing about the artists but all the "made this cd in the past) actually could make me buy a cd.

  9. it could indeed sound like something by Bizarre Contact that bassline. sounds like something bizarre would make,

I'm gonna listen to all the bizarre contact tracks i have to see if have any luck. :D

nope sorry, i've listened to all my bizarre contact, (23 songs) and i haven't found the song you were looking for :S

  10. I feel so honored of posting here, it's like taking part of history.

i must say i was very moved by this history post, and i had no idea up until now that suntrip records were made by Mars / anoebis. but it explains alot :D

I Feel that in psy-news' honor we should make more parties in the future, and i'll hope for a site to become world renowned :)

as for the matter of people "hacking" psynews. Who in the world would do that? it's just plain mean, and definetely not plur!

I feel comforted that back in the day, anoebis was the same age as me. i always had thougts about being to "young" to participate in psynews, and the events it brings.

Most of all, i really am suprised about the initiative of psynews, that the original creators easily could advertise for suntrip records, but won't do so. that's really keeping it independant.

As for the whole matter of organizing parties, i feel that psynews should bring some initiative into making parties or "get togethers" as most of us share the same interests.

And again, thanks for posting this enlightening thread, more people should know about this. thought about making a wiki?

or should the members take initiative?

  11. My Track of today is: Afgin - We Are Spirituals.

Afgin really saved my ass @ my math exam last thursday, i kept cool and calm, and i think it'll be really good!

I think i listened to Old Is Gold, at lest 2 times. [it was a 5 hour examination]
