  1. I kind of agree with old hallucinogen being darker than xenomorph. good analogy with the movies, xenomorph - freddy vs jason...old hallucinogen - silence of the lambs.

Im not sure lone deranger is the best example though, the soothsayer lysergic warning rmx is darker than anything ive heard from xenomorph.

dark is obviously quite subjective though, even mubali's stuff i really dont think of as dark, its just powerfull kickass psytrance.

ghreg on earth though, his stuff is pure fucking evil in can.

  2. " Simon should stop making music if his not inspired anymore... that's what I think"

I really wonder though in general if that is what he has been doing(not doing)?

I mean im sure a new hallucinogen album would sell like crazy, and its been 7 years now since the last one. He could have easily put out 2 albums in that time.

I say hats off to simon for not just pumping out a hallucinogen album of uninspired crap to make money, something he could have so easily done.

Personally i think we need a petition that goes to Process and Simon to get over the past and make a fucking full Beast album.

  3. EP your a moron.

"Psyblog is a new concept that will inform everybody about what is happening in the world of Psytrance."

PSYBLOG is a new concept, notice it doesnt say blogging is a new concept, and as far as i know there is not another blog for psytrance.

  4. sound on sound has the best reviews for synths and you can search their site for synths.

    http://www.sospubs.co.uk/

just buy a good used synth with that money, even if you dont like it you can problem sell it for what you buy it for. I just sold 3 synths that cost me a total of $1200 to buy and i sold them for a total of $1150. A good used synth holds its value nicely.

If you want to make full on get a nord lead 2. The virus B would be in your price range and have tons of presets ready to go. If you want to sound different check out the nord modular 1, waldorf micro q.

  5. discovery is a great instrument, and pretty much nails the nord lead 2 architecture.

It doesnt sound like a nord lead 2 though, hell even the nord lead 3 doesnt sound like the nord lead 2.

Clavia's algorithms in the nord lead 2/ nord modular 1 are very distinct sounding, very raw sounding and almost have a metalic sheen to them.

I wouldnt say the nl2 is better than discovery, its just different.

  6. "Um actaully seeing as I have done my Masters thesis on Pagan and Satanic Rituals and their relevance in the Nordic Black Metal scene"

well at least you went to school for something uhhh usefull...

ghreg on earth needs to release his album and melt all this dark cheese.

  7. i didnt think they made g5 powerbooks?

Personally i would wait and see what goes on with the apple/intel deal, you might be kicking yourself in a year and a half having spent all this dough.

gut feel tells me that you should go for the G5. More headroom. And you could always upgrade components going forward.

I also know that some of the G4 powerbooks were bad quality - screens fucked out etc., and they learned from their mistakes, so G5 will be more reliable hardware.

I am faced with the same decision right now. My plan is to go for the 15" G5 Powerbook ( 2000 euro ) put down a fat deposit ( 1000 euro ), and pay the rest off each month.

  8. i mostly like dark stuff in general but my only problem is its just getting cheesy dark.

deep bass, stupid sounds, stupid track names and quasi horror movie samples arent dark, its cheese.

like the difference between a movie that plays with your mind and a slasher freddy vs jason horror movie.
