  1. Epi Centrum - The Well-Tempered Clavier EP (SMR010) Jerzy Przezdziecki was born in Warsaw, Poland in 1973. At the age of 10, as a result of his early, classical fascination with Chopin, Beethoven and Bach, he started his piano lessons. At that time he totally felt in love with music. As the years went by, his passion was getting stronger and stronger. Studying at the Warsaw College of Art he had the first opportunity to hear some electronic - mostly new beat and industrial music. Front 242, Psychic TV, Throbbing Gristle, SPK and Coil changed Jurek's attitude for the music forever. It was no longer enough to listen. He wanted to create. No matter what music genre he's currently in, there's always one goal: originality. He never stops creating his own definition of music. Always searching for its new emotional character and aesthetic form. Despite the strong need for harmony, he likes to experiment and goes far beyond style conventions. His inspirations come from all kinds of contemporary music. As an electronic music producer he produced 2 LPs, many EPs and single pieces. He had a chance to present his music in Japan, Australia, South Africa, Portugal, Norway, Germany and of course in Poland. Nowadays techno and minimal music became the focus of his musical interest. He records for Boshke Beats, Whirlpoolsex music and for the Polish Recognition Records. His first EP for Traumschallplatten label is announced for the spring of 2009. Today his appetite for self development seems to be as big as it used to be. He's just started private studies of composition and contemporary music theory. The future is bright. The future is Jurek. 2. Let's start with word like "outstanding" for describe this techno project who present to us this magnificent vinyl EP along together with fantastic techno trance label Nachtstorm Schallplatten from Germany. Not that long before they released EP for Soundmute recordings and show to crowd how they are in world of producing techno music. Also we must mention beautiful VA Digital Family on they own audio advance net label "Digital Diamonds". Lots of surprises from this project and Its pretty nice to have them on our world scene. Let's talk about new release under the name "Proralone". Side A: Proralone Start with tiny filtered kick and ambient FX element goes directly through the big faf hall bassdrum and continue with pumping rhythm all the way to the black rubber bassline! It`s Like someone chue gumm on the very loud microphone over compresion effect procesor. Pretty acid sound, especial part of open filter on it. I can't leave out fat pad moments with so floating sound. I can say that during the listening of this track i had a feeling that I heard like the sheet metal elements of sounds. Everything is so metalic Pure mechanical sound. Deserve one HUGE THUMB UP!!! Side B: Klarkommen Dirty sound starting with nice sleepy melody. One more time rubber bassline comes out Uuuu this time even more dancing way then in previous track. I like that tiny rim shots behind the snare drum. It's sound like typing on type machine And again during the listening some techno project, in this case Alic, I have notice that machines, all around us, are actually make this music. Even this sound reminds me on metal ball that glide in to a metal pipe Ok, this track have that irritate part that I like the most in techno music, when artist start with one sound and there is no turning off just make it louder and louder. Why ppl call that sound, irritate if we like it? However in my mind this is positive irritate sound and It is great to hear it in tracks, but not that much often. Hats, fantastic fat sound on it and fantastic moment when they start with cut. Very groovy and massive. Awesome. Short but sweet! Deffinatly, EP that DJs must have it in they gig bags. It is on 12" just two songs, but on my opinion there is the whole release to be used, then some vinyls with 5 or 6 track and carry on with Your self on gigs just for one track All the best to all of Yaaaaaa!!!!!

  4. Mexican duo David Weed & Rick Pier O'neil in new progressive techno release for Tribal Vision. Hm, I can say one really cool admixture of artists and label and still we got here single with remixs of Perfect Stranger, Logiztik Sounds & Mauricio Duarte. Lot of people on this EP. Must be super So lets hear. 01. Industry part 2 (original mix) Classic minimalistic techno start with beat. Tiny percussion playing drum theme and gives to beat ride. Must say really DJ friendly start of track. After bassline start, track become kind of completed even if it goes like this till the end. I don't mind, actually I like it. After while break comes and beautiful morning pad play all over the rhythm elements except kick. So that makes break time In one moment i was surprised with changing direction of arrange cause at this moment break in track become loud start rising in different way. Real cool club moment. But I must say that still no one knock down with that kind of breaks, Armand Van Helden in his the best track ever "I Can Smell You"! Anyway, track theme comes again and we have double enjoyment in relative short composition. I like when track duration is longer, especially if its extended DJ version. 02. Industry part 2 (Perfect Stranger remix) Just love new album of Perfect Stranger and of course that I was expected of this remix really cool ideas. Consider on style from new album I supposed that will sound like minimalistic tecky sound. For me pretty cool. Remix is pretty decent but pure club style. Hehehe that kind of groove never miss I like it. Real warm up thing. For shore the job is done here 100% great. Break is phenomenal I must say that. From light to dark and then back to the groove. Awesome arrange of composition! I like the end of track 03. Industry part 2 (Logiztik Souns & Mauricio Duarte remix) At one moment I bethink that its about same track as original mix but after while i twig that is about one fine remix. Pad motives are nice, I just don't like they disharmony with bell or bubble effect in rhythm. It can be pretty cool dream dance track on dance floor. Actually it is. Consider of me, mine favorite is original mix for shore. I bethink between Perfect Stranger of original mix but after couple of time listening, original wins! Clubbers enjoy!!! Absolutely!!!
  5. I remember my first time when i was listening this project on one festival. It was morning, about 8am. Sun, blue sky, sea & Vibrasphere live. I was amazed. One of the best mornings in my life partying. They are on the scene for a very long time and there is no need to present them in any prelude of review. Beautiful morning sound with totally light and non cheezy melodies. Every theme in their track has so much emotions that they create big energy. Something magnificent. New album “Lungs of Life” just start in my CD player and I can't describe with words what I actually hear but for all of You that like to read my reviews I will try so hard to find right expression to make my feelings about new presentation of VIbrasphere visual to you. 01. Decade From total quiet to big waves come up big pad like from paradise. Feels like sunrise presented thrue the sound. And it takes a long pad melody. It is very emotional introduction to new album. From the very beginning I was expecting lots of ambient style on this album. 02. Breathing Place And its start with balad song. perfect string melody and like a sound of water in the background. Nice slow rhythm with lot of percussion on break. Of course they didn't miss old good laser effect in some parts of track. Really massive bassline that fills my soul with happiness. I just love big fat basslines with a bit distorzion. Acoustic guitar element is PERFECT!!!Playing melody with same instrument is also fantastic. I like, a lot, that acid lead which starts on main break of track. It fills track with great vibes. Very good, let's say, trick with not using same lead in the rest of track until the end part. And on that part that sound become much more twisted and You can't even recognize the melody you heard on beginning of the track. Beautiful 03. Ensueno (Morning mix) At the first moment I thought that its about one more ambiental track, no matter of that tiny shots that I heard in the background, who play some kind of element for 4X4 rhythm. But, of course after few seconds everything was uncovered and track starts with fat progressive bassline. And no matter of that its still so ambiental. On part of track fascinate me a lot, and that is something like pitch band wheel mode on bassline. A little falsh that bass has on last note. Perfect trick. It reminds me a lot of old Ticon tracks that I love the most (from "Zero Six After" album). Melody which bells are making I just adore. On of the best sounds for describe morning atmosphere. Next lead which is so deep, its deep that much that can be bass in track, is really good idea. I like it to. Very atmospheric and deep track with lots of elements and each of them is on right place. 04. Waveguide Wooooohoooohooo at the moment It looks like guys are bringing us combination of techno and trance. Actually they do, just in lighter way than I thought. Of course, no mater of groove track is Vibrasphere's style. 303 sound and every line rises up and up. After a bit calming down it start again with more pads. This track hold my tension on highest level. Rising all the time with new upcoming sounds. Real club supply and the biggest story of this track is after main break, but not as usual. It comes in such different way, in few layers and with sudden bass-drum pumping, that makes that crazy moment much more euphoric than usual calm down, rising up and splashing rhythms recipes. Very very innovative style of arranging. 05. Analog Marinade It's really nice that I hear some techno elements here too. Very refreshing for this project. Rubber basslines and lot of rimshots. Rhythm is perfect. Nice way of reproducing main theme in track. I'm not possitively sure but I feel like bassline play main theme over pads from background. I usually don't like when bassline plays so much, I like more flat basses, but in this case this is perfectly done, I must admit. Squiky led that follows rest of the track is a bit loud for my ears but of course that is a matter of my ears not a matter of production. In case of this project, production never misses. 06. Follow me It is Disco that I hear? Real disco rhythm on the very beginning. So heavy and deep. UUuu acidness of bassline is my favourite. Here we have one pure progressive style with out of much techno elements like in 2 previous tracks. Sounds more like older style of Vibrasphere, but still with innovative elements in composition of this album. Vocal fits so perfectly!!! Very very sophisticated. In next part of track at one moment I feel that lot of elements are in one place but after while everything is set on right place. End of track is so DJ friendly. 07. Dewdrops (with Ticon) Magnificent cooperation. I expected so much of this track, and they actually give more then I expected. Vibrasphere melodies and Ticon groove. A bit nice glitchy moments on some rhythm elements. Again great techno groove. Pure drive. AND THATS THE WAY IT IS!!! WOOOOW!!! I could cry because of that melody on main break. FANTASTIC!!! It so high and euphoric. I expected lot of spraying effect on lift up, but there wasn't so much and that shoved to be the good thing according that now days everybody puts so much od that effect on lift up moments and its kind of cheep. Thanks God those guys have feeling for using sfx's in music. WONDERFUL SONG!!!! 08. Erosion (Glenn Morrison & Bruce Alsher remix) Very good remix of this amazing track by two of Canadian artists. Lots of Europian style of music in this track. Sooo progressive. To be honest I like it, just for my ears I would be even better If It was a bit more minimalistic. I can't find my self found of that much loud sounds together. But even considering that track is totally OK. 09. 102 Miles From Here (Solead remix) Cool techno start from this French remixer. I loooooove that deep basslines. Its so under the rhythm but on the other hand its in leading position. This track is very tech house stilly. It is a bit more energetic and fat then usual tech house tracks but its still tech House by my opinion. Lot of that elements that point on tech house. Amazing production in every way. Playing with vocal is fantastic. Really tropical as artist like to specify his music style. After all I can say that album is really excellent without any doubt. Its much more club oriented then I expected drum this project, but still perfect. My earlier opinion was:"Vibrasphere music in club like bird in bird cage", but after this album they can perform, so to say free, anywhere. Awesome job from Vibrasphere and Tribal Vision. My pleasure to review some masterpiece like this album. Keep us dancing!

  10. Digital Diamonds, label which already has his own place on the scene of psychedelic techno production, now comes out with his new and eight release, just this time in a form of digital compilation. German Audio Advance label, which with full law carries already mentioned prefix, pull down all prejudices about releasing quality techno trance sound as well as artists who promote. Under the watchful eye of producing duo from project Alic, who are on the releases of many labels such as Nachtstrom Schallplatten, Hoofs & Horns, Boshkebeats, etc...the world's techno trance scene redolent with fresh sounds who comes to us from one more of many sides that made her completed. In this new release titled "Digital Family",many members of label introduced to us, as well as many good-standing projects and newcomers. After many times of listening i felt the moment in which I can put the comment on this first release in a form of combination of many artists on one place. Therefore, don`t losing time but get started. 01. Dan Rotor - Abducted One of the oldest members of label, in order of things, gets that honor to open compilation in a form of intro. Dark falls and atmosphere opens the first seconds of digital story. Bit underlines the ambient form of sound and ensemble. Night rules over every segment of "carpet" melodies which are followed with gripe leads. Lowy effects add greasy surface to theme which underline this mystical orbit. It could be free to said that this track, without any doubts, can take a place in new age horror movie with dramatic and rapid changes between scenes. The essence effectively achieved! 02. Viker Turrit - Interferon Sedate kick with cooperation of small glitch elements takes us to the main theme of this compostion. Standard and extremely well arranged lead announce one neo trance story with sound that is somehow slightly became the trademark of this style. I like the gradual opening up of lead till full, let's say, playing (i guess that producer will say-attack moment or else...). Fat lead, which is "under" the theme, is full hit in some kind of support to other oscilations of sounds which are underlined. Arrangement is minimal and simple, which is the point by my opinion. "The essence and simplicity"-as my friend love to said when commenting this style. 03.Kalumet - Blaxun When i read the name of this Hungarian producer, my lobe of the ear reacts like a radar. Many times i caught myself that i really take attention on his style. I had a chance several times to hear his work through various dj sets and it was clearly given to me that he is a very interesting composer. The most interesting of all is that when i listening something new i really heard something new and different. It is also the case and this time. Specifically, track begins with not so much different style, which is already recognizable for this artist. Easy bassline fraught with a light rhythm and "tubed" melody. Minimal range of colors and essence turns theory of this style into practice. I love hats which are, as track goes, discretely attaching on rhythm. There are also perfect. Theme that constantly repeats the same one story, with that repeating just put the accent on the track flow and that, in my head imaged like space laser sound from 19xx and who know which year. Great moments. I hear electronic music from 80's mixed up with current story. Repetitive bassline, that become stronger in one moment, increase the rhythm of track in theme and on the dance floor. I am sure in this, although i heard it only at home for now. And then comes the moment that, if he will be heard on the dance floor, everybody will scream!! ACID!!! Very old style of some TB 303 or something else, i only know that it takes my breath for a long time. I simple love this sound and he is always welcome. Track get total vibe of project that i had a chance to listen '93 on the well-known Greek "Star FM" radio when they plays Union Jack, Empirion and other Old School team. Perfect! Wonderful! It has really throw me back to past. 04. FM Radio Gods - Atom Bells October Rust Remix Deep fall mmmm-like they asked me. Rattling percussion and very tiny clap! Does we need more than that. After the EP Breitseite from the same label and track "Devil Is In Detail" I expect that every new step will be in full bloom. The perfrect compostion and very strong and energetic bass lead position. Reminds me a lot, especially notes, to "Elektrochemie LK - When I Rock" digit that i loved and still adore. Original mix of this track i have not had a chance to hear, but judging by this rmx i couldn`t say that it has many diverges, and also this work file was given by very respectable project. Calm and deep club sound that definitely makes to stomp with closen eyes. Don`t know for you, but i am enjoying. 05. BitShift - Specialist As i know, this project is well-known because behind him is good ranking producer for this kind of sound. I didn't heard lot of works from him but after this track it is my "duty" do give my best and to find more about this story, even if i already heard many times for this project. I will not comment rhythm because it is totally correct and within my expectations. I will only say that theme of track which is, more or less, accompanied with every upcoming sound, which is connect on pad who start that sound, it extremly remind me on Extrawelt style of dictation. It is a huge plus from me. Note record was, gently said it, fascinated to me. Oscillations of leads which follows him and even female vocal, completed this experience. The only thing that I would perhaps change, just a little, is a repeating of the so-called "motor" sounds that starts from the half of track and extends until the end. Maybe is better, not to cut him, but only to, just on a couple moments, diminish the dynamics so that other elements show their thoroughness. Of course, the detail does not impair the impression that track left on me from the very beginning. 06. Fuzzion - Solar Alic Remix As i saw combination of these two projects i already knew that water will boil on this part of compilation. SOURLY!! From basseline to all other elements. Sour as a lemon and orange together Understand this as you please, but who loves acid sound, he will know to show respect for every second of this track. I am one of them, so no one should wonder why i react like this. Even when track not have so good theme this sound will conquer me, which is not a case in this track. Here a the theme and sound give the same kind of satisfaction. Compound of dark, old school and sour are just enough ingredient that will make a cake that taste good. This track goes in same position as third track from this compilation. I mean that the same moment connect me for one and for another track. 07. Dan Rotor - Gemuesemann Unlike the precursor we are here returns to current vision of producing, arranging or whatever you please to say. Mostly new way of global minimalistic sound In general I always get trilled when i hear "train" rhythm. I like to hear that rhythm even in pure trance sound. Great play with percussion and their infiltration through the same triplets. About other elements, i only disagree with "bell" lead, but because it is not too often it doesn`t make any interference. For my taste that sound could be some more "talking story" moments. In essence, cool track. 08. Thompson & Kuhl - Heisse Luft I already said what i mean about this kind of sound so i will said again, i love this kind of sound. And regardless of that, as this kind of expression in techno music becomes more and more popular, i get never enough of him. I don`t know how many the others descry background elements, but if there are similar analysts like me, then you clearly know what background effect gives emphasis to story and thus carries the whole theme. Higher frequency sound played with triplets. It shave through all the time in back and from time to time it oscilate emphasizing louder or weaker. I am glad that also in this case artist does not diverges from repetitive theme that really dont`need to change when is already took sympathies in my case, and i hope in case of many listeners. 09. Digital IO - Carbon Classic Generally this kind of rhythm i could listen, without any changes, through the whole lenght of track. Even in a loop variant first part of track could be used for back in mix with other tracks. Dj's said for that kind of part -"Dj Tool". But later developing of theme, track gets his own story and it could continue to develop by itself. If I would found myself on the other side of Dj panel, i will use this track in already mentioned way. Rhythmics took full attention. 10. Opsy - Night Stripes When we talk about Deep Techno, with full rights i can conclude that this track is my vision of that style. Very atmospheric, much more darkly and full of reverb. The theme of track is great. Rhythm, upgraded with every next bar, opens new background for next elements. I really like playing of timpani, which is based on deep melodies as well as mild acid note record who actually represent main theme of track. Break is filled with mild fade-in in rhythm and so-called hall effect are one of the main factors that instigate soft tension and return to already played themes. Mystical, deep and melodic. Target hit! 11. Simmetune - Der Flaechenzauberer I think that this is one of the fastest and maybe even the fastest track on compilation. Here is also expressed the depth of style. Let's say that this track to all their elements, because of higher tempo or something else, throws a lots progressive moments. I had a chance to hear some earlier work of this artist, and this is one of the project for which i could, on first listening, presume who is it. Quite a unique style of composing. Very open sections which are full of so-called "burst" on breaks in smaller and on bigger crossings. Also, present of mystic in atmosphere does not stay away and i could say that generally, all tracks, are implicated and sorted according to some similarities that characterized with equivalence between styles that this compilation presents. When we all put together, this VA is total refresh for my mind. Finely selected, discretely packed and nicely offered to a wider auditory for listening and fun. None intrusive and by any means expressive. Leisurely introduction, amplification and conclusion. Intelligently and sophisticated. In one word-GREAT!!! review by Lara www.soundmute.org

  14. OPSY - Haustor EP (SMR007) Night...forest...fog...lake...creepy noises...abandoned train station...sound of chains & rusty engines...WIND in INDUSTRIAL!!! All that You can have in one visual picture during listening sound of this project. OPSY!!! Behind the OPSY project is Vladislav Radulovic aka Kanc Cover (1979) from Cacak/Belgrade, Serbia, the man who is in projects called X-Raything, Goasia. Was also member of Tech House project Dirty Cover till he started solo project. Newly formed project OPSY (founded in June 2006) is in fact a mixture of night psy sound with the eventual mechanical motives expressed in the form of ambient FXs and with tech groove & sub bass lines. In all of his production you can hear mostly techno loops no matter if it?s ambient, down tempo or 4x4 track. For his music Opsy say that is Night Progress with techno trance beats. Most of the tracks are more like deep industrial techno. Usual beat per minutes of Opsy tracks is from 125 to 140 bpm. 15. Cold Project - Logarhitmic Spiral EP (SMR006) next on Soundmute recordings Its a big pleasure to announce one new excellent night progressive techno trance project from South Africa. Its about great producers duo under the name Cold project. Cold project are Ian Jukes AKA G.E.M_37 (1978) and Ivan Steyn AKA Sense (1978). Both hail from completely different musical backgrounds, but both have common interests in dark electronic dance music produced in early 2000's by the names like Son Kite, Tegma, Ticon and many more scandanavian forest-trance producers. Cold Project is formed in late 2005, with a will to create something dark and different in the local South African scene and with aim to create music that bridges the ever growing gap between progressive and fullon trance. Cold Project intent to make music with enough headroom to get lost in, within the darker spectrum of trance. Over the years they have tweaked their sound into something special. A sound that is true to the word progressive as each live set aims to take you from the lighter sideof the evening all the way into deep night time progressive. The music is serious and moody with big sounds and grinding electronic beats. 17. About 20 years of existance on scene and bunch of projects ahead and behind, with many different collaborators from respective environment, resulted with perfect releases during all these years. For a long time I have that pleasure, and I believe that many of us share it, literally to enjoy in fantastic combination of sounds from different styles of electronic music that is presented by Gravity Plus team. Under many projects like X-Dream, Downhill, The Delta, MidiMiliz, Spirallianz and also in solo presentations this team irrefutably breaks all barriers in techno, electro and trance sound. They rise the revolution and thrill the whole electronic scene with each new release. Part of that team, Jan & Ariel are introduced as vocal/instrumental electronic project "Prime Suspect". After several singles and EP's, in this episode they present full album release "Bang" which is out on "Nachtstorm Schallplatten", big label from Germany which is releasing high quality sounds from projects like Extrawelt, The Delta, Alic, X-Dream, October Rust, Metalogic, Robert Babicz, Mantik etc. I will not go to deep in describing this well-known artists. Well, lets' taste this attractive candy. Before I start describing tracks and sound, for a moment I will look back on the CD cover which I noticed first while oppening CD. Extremely spotted and in fact very simple design, actually gives a sense that album is some electro/pop band, but actually we're not far away from that conclusion. I am delighted with disorderred vector shapes and also with comic strip way of expression. When I opened CD, I saw something that I haven't seen for a long time - song lyrics! That is probably because I met only with spare covers or instrumental releases lately, but I must admit that this was very nice refreshment. I was back in time when I read lyrics from cover while playing CD in decks. Ah, good old feeling. I also like this extra poster inside. This release in original shape gives and fulfills all those things we used to do while playing music on our stereo devices. That phase never passed and never will. I'm sure. Lets take a laser record journey! 1. Intro Remarkable fat lead for announcement of release. Ariel has fantastic vocal, extremely liable to fine computer arrangement. Simply, from "We interface", she got all my sympathies. It was a "love at first hearing". Pile of chords introducing the end of intro and start of madness!!! 2. Nightlife Increase volume to maximum!!! Superb electro theme filled with distortion from sound to voice. Great text and very nice highlight pads which melt with sound in words of song and play magical melody. Yeah, song, you read well. This is a song! And it's one I worship although favourite is hidden deeper in other tracks on album. 3. Attraction Few of you had a chance to hear this on the same-named EP, to others probably better known from remix version of Extrawelt. On album we have a chance to hear cut and original version unlike the EP, where we met with two edit version of Extrawelt and classic club mix that is kept on album beside original. A little bit more conceived old style of electro as we already heard on newer releases of this producer, for example X-Dreams' track "Building no7" which was released on Boshke Beats. Very similiar styles. That is exactly what I like about "Jan Muller" type of producers. Assimilation of old music motives throughout new notes and production. Real clubby style for warm-up and to be honest, I could insert this track in background for scenes in 80es movies. Only thing that would betray this track is production. Perfect! 4. You're my drug Agressive! Excellent! Lot of energy from beginning. Even lenitive pad from the begginig is announcing burst, especially with bassline that is coming from the depth. HOT! I'm very attracted to that "disjointed" rhythm. Jams and squeezes whole bit like machine. Vocals are very hyper! Filled with effects from all sides, like the rest of the track. It's blazing. Great track for dj sets and full club pleasure. Four Carry Nuts had few tracks of this kind and that's what always won me, so this kind of rhythm is not strange to me. It only lifted my adrenaline to higher level! I have to isolate short-toned melody that comes off from time to time and full trip is to give changes to tones on complete arrangement while the song is playing. I'm afraid of commenting the text because I can't find the words that have such a strong meaning to describe it while Ariel speaks it. Way too perfect! Do you remember when I mentioned favourite deeper in album? I think we just encountered one in tracklist! 5. Bad Girl A little bit slower, techno rhythm with pop melody announces beginning with deep, rubber bass. If the tones are slightly staid and thinner this song could be put in MTV dance hits category. But, of coarse, they presented it in their own style. Very interesting track because it is a potential dance hit that is played in slightly harder manner, but nothing more. Too soft for my taste. 6. Irresistable I can see that Manson would play with the remix of this track. It has a material for him indeed. Deep male vocal and a stronger groove comparing to last track. When talking about lyrics, I'm not really a fan of boys&girls texts. Yet, in some compact complex its all nicely packed and presented as a song. 7. Entertainment UH! Back to the dance floor! And again sweet and irresistable stomp rhythm! Perfect. One extraordinary cyber-punk composition with vocals of bass master, Jasper Scholtz. Great job! It would be silly to say that this track is under influence of X-Dream, regarding that half of that project contributed in production of this track, but bass line in track totally takes me back to "We interface" album. For me, it can only be a big plus. If someone wonders why, it's because I really value moments on new realisations, which with some parts send a whit of energy from previous releases and reminds me that in next round I could listen to something from the past. Too sudden finish, one and only fault. 8. Dr. Wright This is exactly what I commented in last sentences of previous description. Very start of the track threw me in illusion that there is a goa trance character track on album. When the kick started, I realised that this is a sound which is very often used by this producers in 90ies and after that we switch it very fast to newer times. Fantastic trajectory! And again, a sudden finish of track. I don't know if I could describe it as a fault because this is after all album and CD version. Probably some vynil DJ version would be re-edited to extended play for mixdown. Thus, dear DJ's, don't be surprised! haha 9. Attraction (Club mix) Since I didnt have time to listen to whole EP that includes Extrawelt remix, I cant be 100% sure if this is a totally same club mix version like one on that EP. What I can tell for sure is that the track is predominantly concentrated to newer style which is also represented in this and other projects of this couple. Extraordinary mix that wears the name CLUB with good reason! I know that this doesnt concernes this album but I must mention that the Extrawelt remix really marked all adutes of original, put them in foreground and deservedly carried away great remixer title. 10. Oblique Blasphemy This track is in rank of big alternative projects which stands out with industrial tones without departure to spheres of defined techno style. I dont like to compare projects, but all of you who dislike it will have to forgive me. That is my way of finding route which merges all this music I'm listening to. So dont be surprised if I find bands like Crystal Methid, 9" Nails, Waltari, Die Krupps, Moby and others in this kind of track. Who understands will realize, in other case it's not worth of explaining although I'll like to. And yeas, I almost forgot to praise the rhymics. Calm theme that leads a relaxing journey without strong beats and prepares us for always possible upcoming wave. Depends on combination and composition of DJ set. 11. Casque Lets taste some more rough and energetic electro industry, haha. Ah, I cant get enough of this! Maybe this track would achieve a better effect if it was followed by a strong break-beat rhythm. Through many moments of music that Marcus and Jan granted, I concluded that Marcus is one that has a wild rhythms and metal globes of bass drums, while Jan is more devoted to calm beat and has a bigger accent to sour and acid leads which gives that bigger electro touch. This track would be ideal for mutual collaboration which, despite everything, is not deficient in this case. I'm just sharing free ideas LOL. GREAT! 12. Megalomanic From this rhythm hall rings, for sure! It's full from all possible angles. In one moment, it sounds like it will transfuse, but there is a sharp hat which with its exalted influence arranges the balance between bass and high-tones. Of coarse, there is no lack of acid synths that I sincereley expected in at least one of the tracks. May I mention The Prodigy? Ok, I bode a LOL. Vocals would fit better with effect for which I dont know what is called, but it's used in track "Margot - Torch (Extrawelt remix)" for treating acappela in their own style. I think you got it. For my taste, middle tones and especially high-tones in the middle of track are too uplifted. Of coarse, oscillations are often but on these moments it happens and I dont like it. All in all, good track. 13. Boys Build Bombs Ariel is back. Alarming synth underlines tension in track and I surely expect the explosion but what I get is a rarely pretty surprise. After really short calming, only with beat and few following elements, vocal stretches with once again, superb text. I will sing this in my car while I'm cruising the city! No comments needed except the old one: "Really good stuff!". It can be clubby, but at the same time doesnt need to, depends how you feel this track. I see it in club but most likely in some Drum 'n' Bass set with a little bit risen pich control, as a starting of set. Rest of the trip is car, room, home-made party or similiar. Cute. 14. Pussycat Hahaha, I liked this flash a lot! In start I tought that other unknown CD started, since I know almost whole content of my phonoteque. Nice catch with totally changing style in whole story, for the end. It's totally in style "Hipteens, don't wear a blue jeans!", and of coarse I love that song. Certainly, its really super style of these jazz/bluz bends that sometimes have some Dixy trip. Love for that music I picked up from cartoons and movies, where it was a background theme which was slowly inserted into ears. Although its totally out of album style, conception of album is still kept and just try to put lots of SFXs from previous 13 tracks on music and vocals and you'll get what I'm talking about In my subjectively oppinion and also objectively, album is extremely fantastic! From all perspectives: technical, stylistic and arrangement. The fact that separate me from other listener is totally just a matter of taste and nothing else... All possible styles ever presented by this artists are applied more or less in every track and all of that is very successfully spiced with Ariel texts and beautiful vocals. Also, I must not mention collaboration on some tracks with Jasper Scholtz, who also did his part fantastic! This is a MUST HAVE RELEASE for all the performers whose story fits with described sound. I found myself in this release and I wish we could have more releases like this one in future. Sets will be upper and crowd satisfied and many other producers will have inspiration for their work. At my home, I'll play "You're my Drug" for once more, because this release is drug indeed. Cheers! http://www.NachtstromSchallplatten.com
  18. Alic - The Lost Files EP (SMR005) Lets start with the year 2002. Not a long time ago, Volker and Adam moved to Muenster (Germany), where they accidently met. From that time, both of them knew that they'll produce music together. Adam (aka the Alien), who grew up in a smaller tranquil town, is fed up with many hours of dancing at pure Trance parties. He decided to start producing music and after a few dilettantish experiments with sound, he became more serious. Volker, who was born Thuringian, already started with electronic music production in the middle of the 90ies. With oldschool hardware and "Triton Fasttracker" he puzzles a few technotic tracks in an adventurous way. Some of them were released under his alter ego "Sonic Assault" at BigTown Recordings (Erfurt), before he moved to Muenster. With their track "Supplements", the two Alic's had their first ingenious production in the year 2004, that was released immediately on Mindsound Records by label chief Alex Ranft. Year 2006 was followed by the "French Tripping" EP on Antiritmo. But, just at Horns and Hoofs Entertainment, a sublabel of Alex Tolstey's Boshke Beats Records, they found their style and expressed it auditive in "The Gentle Way of Minddestruction". Same year, they launched their netlabel "Digital Diamonds". The idea was to offer an open-source platform, where subjectively perceived high-quality music and "burner-tracks" are free and available for a large crowd. So, the thing that they could not avoid was releasing of the "Evil Fairy" EP on Digital Diamonds, in the year 2007. But these two guys are not only limited on home production of music, they also make background sounds for video-clips and short movies. After all, they love to rock the crowd with symbiotic ping-pong DJ-sets. Doing so, nearly every kind of electronic music is allowed, as long as it keeps the flow. In May of 2008, they made their first Live act appereance in front of the crowd.
