    A Swedish film critique that used to work on the Swedish national television recently commented the commercialization of his former employee in the following way:

     

    "To see what has become of the Swedish national television is like discovering that a woman whom you grew up with has become a prostitute."

     

    I think the same can be said about our so called "alternative" scene these days.

    Just about everything released by them (as X-dream or as one of their many side-projects or collaborations) between 1996 and 2002 is incredible and groundbreaking. On their own or in various collaborations Marcus if of course the most interesting of the two, but Jan was a part of a Children of Paradise, a side-project that maybe never got the attention it deserved. Their Urban Alien album is an amazing mix of the the successful X-dream baseline and über psychedelic melodies and atmospheres.

    I agree

    True.. A lot of 'psy' people ignore ambient music like Steve Roach, Brian Eno, Vidna Obmana,Biosphere, Matthew Florianz etc etc

    And indeed ambient can be really trippy, especially artists such as the above mentioned, however I would also refer to certain IDMish electronica being very trippy in a braindance way (although a lot of tracks could probably work on the dancefloor if the listener is a bit familiar with it)

    A lot of psy people enjoy ambient if it's released on a psy label, because then it's automatically psy, and they usually think it's excellent and groundbreaking although it has been done many times outside of the narrow-minded psy scene. That's the so called open-mindness of the psy scene.

    It is indeed one of the best 2006 albums, but that's not saying much since 2006 sucked. Viewed in a brother perspective Mean Between is still an album that stands out among the rest.

    when he had his album in the download section he had tons of reactions, also his albums were sold like hot cakes if I remember correctly :) So we love you Kim :) More Hedingarna Remixes damned! :P

    His official wesite stated he is releasing his trance album (Shapeshifter) very soon too... good year for him

     

    edit: actually he's decided to change the name to Telepathik due to numerous Shapeshifter's out there already

    One of those Shape Shifters did release a psytrance album back in 1998:

    more seriously and talking about this noise . first of all it s a bad dat tape noise . it was on the only tape we had . we could have erased it but then you miss a bar . we though ok, let s be old school and put it on the cd like this . i personnaly like it , this noise, reminds me of the good times .you know , dat tapes , shiva candles , incense and stuff .

    Yes, we are all aware of the good old times and were we are at the present is light years from that. Please, bring back the good times instead of looking back at them! We want more old school Transwave, incense and Shiva stuff! ;)

    I can even recall a case where someome blamed me in public at Isratrance that i didnt allow him entrance into one of my parties because he supported a different football team than me when the truth was that i was trying to explain him for more than 30 minutes in front of the party that i couldnt let him in unless he changed his top outfit because he was wearing a football team t shirt and this could lead into further problems and even a fight inside the club by some people that could get irritated by that.
