Nice to finally have the results, good work.
Some comments:
1. If there are only 76 participants spread over 24 countries there is really no reason why the bars should show the percentage, the absolute numbers are just as valid and more interesting.
2. Reconsider if the current form of voting is relevant. 87 % of all releases in the contest received less then 5 votes and the median number of received votes is 1. That is, most albums only received one vote. A problem with this kind of ranking is that the voter is forced to rank a number of releases even though he or she might not feel that there's that big of a difference between the top five releases.
3. Another alternative way is too divide the contest into two parts. Step one is to let anyone nominate albums, let's say ten albums. The second step is the actual voting phase where only albums that received more then let's say five nominees are allowed to partake in the actual contest.
4. If only the number of received votes is taken into account and not the ranking/points then the list would look slightly different. The first column represents the new order and the second column the current order and the third column is the name of the album/compilation. Filteria is still number one, but OOOD is moved one step up and Jikkenteki one step down. Electrypnose is moved from 14 to 8 and the New Order compilation from 30 to 13.
1 1 Filteria - Heliopolis
2 3 O.O.O.D. - Free Range
3 2 Jikkenteki - The Long Walk Home
4 5 KoxBox - U-Turn
5 4 Ka-Sol - Fairytale
6 6 Vibrasphere - Archipelago
7 7 Carbon Based Lifeforms - World of Sleepers
8 14 Electrypnose - Subliminal Melancholies
9 10 Tegma - Around the World in 80 Minutes
10 8 Androcell - Efflorescence
11 8 V/A - Pyramidal Trancendence
11 10 Quasar - One Day
11 10 V/A - Peace Therapy Vol.2
12 13 V/A - God Save The Machine

In July 1996, Twisted Records was born with the release of the first single ‘Deranger’. The first sound Twisted ever made was ‘I’m going to lead you, kicking and screaming, giggling and laughing into the future…’
This self fulfilled prophecy has been realised with the creation of the Twisted 10 Year Anniversary DVD. Based largely on the Twisted Anniversary party on the 27th of October 2006 in London, a Halloween fancy dress extravaganza where almost all of the artists associated with Twisted over the years played their part and 2300 people turned up dressed even freakier than usual. This made quite a spectacle as you can probably imagine. The whole event was filmed and photographed with some of the best bits making it onto this DVD.
EVENT COVERAGE
You’ll find a selection of prime dance floor moments including unreleased tracks performed LIVE by Hallucinogen, Transwave, and Younger Brother and some recent releases from the likes of Prometheus, Shpongle and Koxbox. Re-live the experience of the Twisted Anniversary or enjoy it for the first time if you were one of the many who couldn’t get tickets for this landmark event in our history.
INTERVIEWS
Interviews with Hallucinogen, Younger Brother, Raja Ram, Tristan, Prometheus, Koxbox & Dado give you an insight into the personalities, motives & mindstates behind the music.
STUDIO TOURS
As an added bonus for you techies you can see how they work their magic with special studio tours from Simon Posford, Benji Vaughan, Ott, Koxbox and Dado. For the first time, these secretive characters give you a proper glimpse of their methods and machinery.
HALL OF FAME
There are photographs galore of all the weird and wonderful characters and costumes that appeared on the night which can be found as a slideshow on the DVD. This is the Twisted Hall of Fame. Find your friends amongst the melee whilst listening to classic music from the label. Reminisce on the crazy faces that flashed past you that night or be amazed at the effort and colour in the crowd. These are the faces that have supported our label over the years and they have gone down in the hall of fame.
DJ & VJ Mix
Ott’s Levitating Turtle DJ Mix is a 45 minute unique blend of Twisted downtempo classics set in time to some top quality VJing from Inside-Us-All. Sit back at home and bliss out to your favorite tracks with some seriously stimulating visuals.
BONUS MATERIAL
Unreleased Hallucinogen LSD Video
Big Tits Time Lapse
?
BONUS AUDIO CD
This is a bonus cd of unreleased tracks and live mixes of released tracks to satisfy your need for a hour of nothing but sound. An excellent addition to the collection or to the DJ case. It includes unreleased tracks from Hallucinogen, Younger Brother, Ott, & Audio Chemists (Simon Posford and Joti Sidhu), a special live mix of a classic track from Transwave and a live mix from Koxbox’s latest album. There are also some tracks taken from the Prometheus and Shpongle sets at the party.

Yes, he's coming to Finland in July. Alas I fear I'm not worth his grace - twice. What can a mere mortal do to earn this divine blessing?
More info please!

It's old school, it's Transwave, it can only be psychedelic and it is.
-
There's a great melodic progressive trance act called Celluloid Dmage and they deserve attention from all of you:
Their music is deep, uplifting and beautiful. You'll love it!
Oh, I forgot to say the best thing: it's free and of high quality!
-
It's a great album (all their albums and projects are), very innovative and it has some great progression going on in the tunes. Love it!
-
Don't know what you exactly mean by 'surprised', but yesterday I was shocked to see that Damion of psyreviews.com gave it 8/10. Basically, he said it was much better than he expected:
http://www.psyreviews.net/index.php?option...4&Itemid=46

I've read the review and I do not understand how he can give the album 8/10 since he's complaining about almost every tune.

Trollsky fuk off if you can't cope with it.

You've been added to the ignore list, bye.
-
An uplifting beauty, you've done it again!
I've been impressed by each and everyone of your tunes, you're really talented.
-
Seriously, what's happening with the results???

If Alienated Buddha truly is the Best Goa ever made...
why is it there is only 1 album out from these very gifted fellow or fellows?
I mean. If he really has made the best goa on one album in all the anelects of goa
Why is there no further develpments of the Alienated Buddha?
It might be that Alienated Buddha is not the best goa ever made...

Seems like 2007 will be a psychedelic year for psytrance

-
Propably laughing to psypurists whos whole world gets shaked by few pictures

If the pictures and their last albums are some kind of joke I hope it has the best punchline of the decade because so far they are looking like total fools.
-
Maybe the pictures are supposed to be self ironic and a bit cool, or funny?
Listen to the samples of their new album, the pictures fit perfectly with what their doing these days...
-
-
Ok... The public has spoken...
Remastered it will be

Great news!
Your label is really the label these days.
-
A solid follow up to their excellent debut. The sound quality is even better, the production is great and the flow is excellent. You will not be disappointed.
4+/5

The first four tunes are excellent: upbeat, fun, groovy and melodic. Certainly among the best full on tunes released in 2006. But from track 5 and onward the album lacks variation and there are two tunes featuring electric guitars which in my book is always unlistenable.
3/5

Yet another "dark" compilation of over compressed harsh digital noise.
The only interesting act is CPC vs Para Halu. They deliver a deep, hypnotic masterpiece, too bad it's surrounded by unimaginative fillers.
You can certainly do without this compilation.

The upcoming Minilogue album is an instant purchase.

The All I Want taster sounds a bit cheezy if u ask me.... getting the infected inch....
especially the male vocal... hmpf!Infected's out of tune engrish can't be compared with this, the least common denominator is a male singing, that's it.
The samples are very impressive.

Para Halu - Space Rock (2007)

I'm usually not impressed by the so called dark psytrance, but I tend to find one or two albums per year that are really good. This year I've already found one of those great albums. Para Halu's Space Rock is dark, hypnotic, twisted and psychedelic night trance. Highly recommended!
