  1. Hmmm.... you prove a good point Lunar Man... But I'm sure they are not nazis... Well, not sure-sure, but nazism seem pretty far from the whole PLUR-thing that most psy-people live by.... Well, judge yourself: DeathPosture

  4. V/A - Anotherwise Artist: Various Title: Anotherwise Label: Baluns Date: 2002 Track listing: 01. 09'29" KAB And Son Kite : Yetto Come ! 02. 07'27" Audibelle : Manoeuvres 03. 07'22" Gegga : Deep Down In 04. 07'55" Pope Of Gegga : Eff 05. 06'32" Aircrash : Time Traveller 06. 07'35" Trimatic : Ride The Rim 07. 07'24" Pope Of Gegga : First Go! 08. 07'14" H. Larsson : Barcode 09. 09'47" Trimatic : Kyoto 10. 07'58" New Age Hippies : @ The Speed Of Life Review: Ahhh! ;o) This is sooo nice! As you might know, I was absolutely HOOKED on the Baluns-compilation Otherwise released last year... I revitalized my whole faith in progressive trance... So naturally I was REALLY looking forward to this, Anotherwise, the cleverly-named follow-up to Otherwise... And let me just say, that I haven't been dissapointed! ;o) Up first is Yetto Come! [#1]: The delicious '01 vinyl release from the masters themselves - Son Kite Vs. KAB... Perfect starter which slowly builds into a deeeeep, progressive sensation... Nice! [#2] is the flipside from the Figure-EP... Smooth co-orperation between Norwegian Roland Lilfjell and Swede C.H. Hallén... This turns into a massive track! ;o) [#3] This track was first released more than 2 years ago, and now we have it again here... This track has really aged nicely and those funky percussions and strange noises fits the track! This is not a classic but Berglund & Brante sure knows how to program a funky track! It must be Deep Down In Funky Morningville! ;o) [#4] First track from Pope Of Gegga - the groove ambassador! Well, at least he has been in some of the other of his tracks which I've had the pleasure of listening to, especially "Filterpenna"... But, I haven't really gotten into this track yet... Hopefully I will after more listens... [#5] Ahhh... Much better now! This is from the newest Baluns 12" released in May... Excellent stomper... No boring intro or build-up, just pure, groovy, deep tech-trance. Best track so far! Highly recommended! ;o) [#6] another 'old' track from 2000... Trimatic is a Son Kite-alterego and it shows... Pulsating progressive trance here from the masters themselves! Great! ;o) [#7] Second track from the ambassador and this is much better than 'Eff'... I'm tempted to say Eff'ing better! [Hehe... Well, maybe not!]... [#8] Henrik Larsson from the techno-act Headroom is on his own here... What an awesome track... Huge track which combines techno and trance... complex and diverse bass-line here... Recommended! [#9] Woow! Starts slowly, but quickly builds into a smashing tune... As always with the Son Kite guys this is SOOO groovy and this track is simply just fantastic! ;o) [#10] Last track from NAH is another deeeeep, funky track and a perfect way to end this great compilation... This still haven't reached the level that Otherwise has in my cool-book, but I'm sure this will grow on me as time goes by... Also this is great way of getting a bunch of stuff only released on vinyl - I for one, only play CDz, so I like it when a compilation like this comes out! Recommended if you like quality tech-trance and deep, progressive trance... Final verdict: 9/10
  5. Dude, when you first told me about this I couldn't believe it, but I'm starting to catch on... This is going to be so sweet ... Almost as good as a new Shpongle album... Let us know when you have more info dude! DeathPosture NP: Prodigy "Baby's Got A Temper"
  6. Oy!.... So, I keep hearing good things about Saiko Sounds, so I think I'll place an order there... The only thing keeping me from doing it is, that I'm pretty sure I'll have to pay additional sales taxes [25%] if Danish customs intercepts the package... So, have anyone had any experiences with packages from Saiko Sounds in Hong Kong and additional EU taxes!? Is it possible to tell Saiko Sounds to spefify a package as a gift or even specify the value lower than it actually is? [ie. I buy $100 of records at SS - but they specify the value on the tax-papers to $25!? Is that possible?] Thanx in advance guys! DeathPosture NP: Gus Gus "Why"

  8. V/A - Goa Head 16 Artist: Various Title: Goa Head 16 Label: Nova Tekk Date: 2002 Track listing: CD 1 01. 08'03" Ticon : We Are the Mammoth Hunters (MOS Rmx) 02. 09'19" Tarsis : Evolve 03. 06'49" Electric Universe : Solylun 04. 09'35" Cosma : On My Way 05. 07'16" Emou : The Summer Is Old (Space Safari Rmx) 06. 07'35" Genetic Spin : Jazzman 07. 07'14" Massimo Santucci : Profunk 08. 06'09" Nerve : Channel 269 (2002 Remix) 09. 08'19" Quarz : Schichtwechsel 10. 06'59" Hattler : Delhi News (Deep Dive Version) CD 2 11. 08'02" Space Cat : Power Up (Oforia Remix) 12. 06'36" Noosphere : Vector 13. 08'56" Space Buddha : Granulate Fungi 14. 07'59" Skazi : Let's go to Mars 15. 07'13" X-Dream : Thorazin 16. 07'29" Hujaboy : Save Ass 17. 07'50" Talamasca : Psychedelic Knights 18. 07'31" Lemurians : Shinning With You 19. 07'38" Psychonaut : Witchkraft 20. 06'18" GMS : Shrek Review: The once so great series Goa Head has made it to volume 16 now... Usually I don't care much for these commercial compilations, but I came across this one, and gave it a listen...And I think this deserves a review here 'cause actually there are a bunch of good tracks here... Right, let's go through the tracks now... I'll try not to make this too long. cd1#1 is the new MOS rmx of the well-known Ticon track... MOS made this even darker, but I like that here... cd1#2 unreleased from Tarsis here... I've never been a big fan of his... And this track doesn't change that! Forgettable! cd1#3 one of the weaker tracks from Unify, but still pretty nice and nice fluffy melodies! cd1#4 another unreleased from Cosma and I really like this one! ;o) cd1#5 one of the faster tracks from Emou... With vocals! Fairly good, but easily forgotten! cd1#6 unreleased from Genetic Spin here, and this has nothing to do with jazz as the title suggests, though there are a bit of saxophone-samples and even a female vocal singing "music"... Hmmm... Not a fav'e of mine either! cd1#7 Ahh... This is funky! I actually never got a chance to listen to "Al Dente" but I will now! I like this funky progressive sound! Nice! ;o) cd1#8 The old Nerve-track from '00 in a '02-version... The original was awesome, but the remix sure works for me too... You can hear that Nerve is a MOS-sideproject... Great, smooth track! cd1#9 I've not yet had the chance to listen to the new Quarz album, but here we have one of the tracks from it... This is deep, yet progressive to some extent... I fairly like this actually! cd1#10 is a track from the new Deep Dive-album and apparently this was made by the group Hattler. Never heard of them before. But this is a nice chilled track in the usual DDC-style... I like the whole India-feel they've got going here... Pheew... Right, time for CD2 now where things are really picking up... cd2#1 Oforia-remake of the great Space Cat track... Great melodic Israeli stomper! ;o) cd2#2 this is a X-Dream side-project and it shows. Nothing happens for the first 2 minutes, but then things start to happen, and this develops into one of the better minimal tracks. cd2#3 One of the best tracks from Stigmata with great guitar-riffs. Very good! cd2#4 a dark Skazi-bomb here... Scary shit, but I like to get scared sometimes! ;o) cd2#5 even darker from X-Dream... One of the best tracks from Irritant... Very, very dark but in a sophisticated manner. cd2#6 Another minimal track from Hujaboy, but one of his better minimal tracks from Hujajoy. Not as good as the 2 previous tracks though! cd2#7 Another well-know track here from Musica Divinorum and this is also great - and a welcome style-change from the 3 minimal tracks... Though this fuck up the flow of this CD, but hey - Goa Head was never known for it's amazing flow right!!? cd2#8 one of the better tracks from Crystal Mind IMO... I like their experimental style... cd2#9 another unreleased track. This time from Psychonaut which I guess is a standard Goa Head-artist. They are on nearly all the latest Goa Heads. This track is nothing special, though it has it's moments. Perhaps it will grow on me. cd2#10 first time on CD I believe!? Anyway, you can say what you want about GMS, but they sure don't take themselves too serious, and I like that. This is a fun, full-on track from the masters of happy-psytrance. This always puts a smile on my face! ) Right, that was a long review, although I promised it wouldn't be... Anyway, to conclude, this is one of the better Nova Tekk compilations to come out over the last couple of years, and actually this is the first Goa Head, Tantrance, Pulse I've listened to for a LONG time, but hey, if this is the standard from now on, I could get into these again... There are drawbacks though, but they are obivious: You prolly have must of these tracks elsewhere... and there is NO flow whatsoever in the selection of tracks! But it's been like that for ages with Nova Tekk... Final rating: 7/10

  13. V/A - Cross Link Artist: Various Title: Cross Link Label: Digiboga Date: 2002 Track listing: CD 1 01. 10'58" Son Kite : Reewo 02. 09'02" Ticon : Electricity 03. 09'09" Tegma : Werewolf 04. 07'41" P-Woland : The Lovely Wife 05. 09'12" Llopis : Centrafuge 06. 11'12" Beat Bizarre : Out Loud 07. 09'19" Fabel : The Bear 08. 07'39" Reefer Decree : Curved Air CD 2 09. 10'24" Son Kite : Reewo (Llopis Remix) 10. 07'06" Ticon : Electricity (Fabel Remix) 11. 08'22" Tegma : Werewolf (Beat Bizarre Remix) 12. 06'26" P-Woland : The Lovely Wife (Reefer Decree Remix) 13. 09,33" Llopis : Centrafuge (Son Kite Remix) 14. 07'35" Beat Bizarre : Out Loud (Tegma Remix) 15. 08'25" Fabel : The Bear (Ticon Remix) 16. 07'21" Reefer Decree : Curved Air (P-Woland Remix) Review: Danish label Iboga and Digital Structures from Sweden have teamed up under the name of Digiboga and the double compilation Cross Link is the result of the joint venture stretching from Copenhagen across the new Øresund Bridge to Malmø! And what a SMASHING result it is! This has got to be this years most anticipated compilation and we've all been waiting for this to be released since wintertime when the first rumours about this compilation started to spread! . But it was definitely worth the wait. No doubt about that! The first CD contains a bunch of well-know tracks plus a couple of unreleased from both Iboga and D.S. . On the second CD these tracks are remixed across labels, so that D.S.-acts remix Iboga-acts and vice versa! It's all one happy Digiboga-family! ;o) In my mind there is no doubt which track is the highlight here: [cd1#8] Curved Air - AMAZING track, and has got to be among the deepest, grooviest, most driving progressive tracks ever! I've loved this track for almost a year now and finally I have it on CD. I wish I'd been at VooV last summer when Reefer Decree apparently played this track the first time in public. The whole CD is worth it for this track alone! ;o) Not saying that you only need this CD because of this track - there are smashing tracks en mas here! From the well-know Son Kite stomper Reewo, over Tegma beastly Werewolf to the sheer joy of Beat Bizarre's previously unreleased Out Loud! Great, great stuff! Also, pretty much all the remixed are good, though I've not yet grown fond of P-Woland's remake of Curved Air. But perhaps it's just me who doesn't like when someone messes with a classic! Well, enough said about this now - If you haven't got this go get it right now! It's an instant classic! ;o) Rating 9/10
