Faxi Nadu is no newcomer to electronically based music. This is a guy with variation in music taste within the everlasting world of dance and listening music from computerized mental chips. In Modern Knight you will find a lot of atmospheric gliders, mystical energies and dark moods for that extra exiting moment of your floating yet struggling life.

1. Dark Night starts with dark, mystical and atmospheric atmospheres for you to crawl inside, it’s 7:30 in the morning and the trance-beat with pulsating dibbles carries the bell towards hypnotizing phases where dark knights wave their magic wand to blast you with pleasant bleeps and inspiriting seeds to be planted firmly in the ground your feet may dance a pun. Nice introduction ***

2. Again more unsettling and deep noises for your synesthesia to activate on. The space form seems to be bubbling into another horizon of darkness, wonder and fantastic illusions. The beat is kicking firmly while the tempo is playing with your head-trip, battling to stay sharp and civil as the power gathers in a settled manner of unsettling playfulness. Funny subtle phase shifters to create ****

3. When there is some issue at stake, like how to make the best possible surprised soundscape possible for the potential trippers at large, one will try to make something very honest, soul filled and mystical with layers to trigger your ambient urge and moods to mesmerize your fantasy world of whatnot and satellite might. ‘Issue at Stake’ is a nice and thumping piece with funny enough sounds to grind your imaginary doorway into wobbling spaces where balance seems hard to acknowledge when the floor keeps waving like it does. ***

4. As one fly past sprinkling star dust with the sound of crackling fire, the Pace of the Space Race takes its toll. A space-like groove with anti-gravitational snailholes that will take you past the base of usefulness sensation. Sure the beat flow is sturdy; the sounds are all interesting in its strippable manner of chaotic clothing with harsh crunches covering the alien nipple with its dripping milk which has a taste of green apples combined with cinnamon and raspberries. Some chanting of sort with hovering lights lets one know the transformation into another dimension is close, fragile and aware of its own presence. ***

5. Bob Dylan’s voice comes and mysteriously disappears into a mellow forest of birds with basses and leafs of hammering effects. Kick and beat carries deep, down to the root of a forest filled with light in darkness. Rooms are to be found, with echoing life as if the spirit it represents is hidden in muddy craze only to be lifted by beautiful voices which rises up towards the grass filled meadows where the Alamo used to lay... **

6. Hasty action on your doorstep, hungry beats to cover the frantic noise of crazy people attacking flickering fast phased shocks of Sigilweaver and bubbling institutions of upraised prayer for delightful entrancement inside the most wonderful dance movement, which would be nice. Viva la Cuba! **

7. Stadium fans scream their cheers for a rolling ball, effects crumples them inside compact beat manifestations where rugged carpets tries to fly away to another stay where one might get a real good aural lay. Some effects makes a good effort to please the ear grease while tempo and compositions makes it hard to actually ride the sofa towards other livingrooms with walls painted in bliss and the darkening wondering-ponders about life. - Some disturbing moods fly towards the swirling hole in the ground. Hey, that’s chewy and stretchy, which vortex will it lead and can it be dissolved with attention to beauty in flow while escalating the fetishist? **

8. A crisis closes in; the walls are falling down like a terrorized bridge. Screaming hollows to become flying cowards as the sharper nipple-ripple strangles your reflection of hornyfied hippies refusing to shave their armpits in anger and deflect in prude selection. Interesting, mad, temper based and strong, yet something essential is missing in the listening adventure **

9. Moaning hearts of static glory rolls fast on the freeway of freedom against stupidity and close-mindedness. Mystical atmospherically layers are presented with soft basis to lay a head waiting for the uncomfortable to hit the stray. Squeaking sounds please the ear canal with perfect balance of tempo and room to boom. Defiantly one of the most powerful tracks presented by ‘Modern Knight’, good mix in composition and breaks to make the sweat leak and smile widen like delightful drops hitting your brainstem with some serious bam-bam! ****

10. Sweep Dreams are made of these, who are Faxi Nadu to disassemble the tremble of flying jets and closing noises. We are looking for unsane patterns in our dimensional music in futuristic ideas and star-rising holograms of floating vibes which strives to float inside a perfect universal lightbeam of sweeping bleeps and dreaming moods. ***

Recommendation: There is a lot of interesting tricks in the bag of Faxi Nadu and the man behind this project is Not without great talent, that’s for sure. - But too often it comes short of grabbing the full attention with extraordinary emotions that will siege a head which is after that something special that I think we seek. That said, I have to give mad props for the layers of atmospheres that has been carefully placed around the album for our experiencing pleasure, this is not a test and if it were, Faxi Nadu’s Dark Knight would have passed for its overall impression on dimensional experimentation. For me this music sounds like its inspired by acts like X-Dream, Ghreg On Earth and like most times it all falls down on personal taste, and when it comes to my own, this album lands somewhere in the middle, just above average.

The mastering is done by the legendary Xenomorph who has done a superb job.

The artwork by Hadar Lubaton is nice and simple, kind of homemade without too much effort in making something brilliant yet it seems to be a nice fit to the music presented inside.
