Review:

Wow !!! This album is a pure joy, psychedelic full-on dancefloor blower. I

was smilling while listening to it. I've wait for a long time this Absolum

Masterpiece and here it is, twisting, scratching with echoing samples and

pure psychedelic sounds. My favorites are "Recovery" and "Drumatrix remix"

(especially for their finals) but all tracks tracks are greats.

Congratulation to Christof for his excellent work. This kind of tracks is

really the best and killing goa you can listen to (in a party or at home).

Just one suggestion : it could be fun to have a "one shot album" like "The

Lone Deranger" from Hallucinogen or "Gathering" from Infected Mushroom, with

no cut between tracks. But anyway... 10/10

hey ..

This album is pure joy im the clubs (hhiih).

I like this shitty album so damn much it is the best album coming to us in

along time.

Absolum always make good crunchy music that hits the dancefloor like a bomb!!

Everytrack is good and i think the quality is nice..

And this is something new for the lovers of darknight music..

Since Christoff has been around since the olden days - I think he was half of

Transwave? - he should be old enough to know better than to make this record.

These are engaging, disposable chewns with no staying power. In two years or

even in six months, we'll wonder what the controversy was. This is a capable,

if unspectacular Wizzy Noise rip-off. If you collect all the 3D Vision

releases, you'll want this. Calm down already, Christoff, there's plenty of

time to work in all the noises in your bag of tricks - you know, the one you

bought secondhand off Wizzy Noise, Yumade and Talamasca. No need to throw

every sound in every track. Except for the very good first track, this is

nowhere close to memorable. Sorry, but anyone who compares this favourably to

Midimiliz needs some intensive schoolin'. I hate to quote Green House Effect

taking the piss out of us oldsters, but "ees not mooseek - just making noise."

4/10.

Ok Ok. So I don't listen to it all in one go either. The music is just to

blatant for that, and lacks any 'discretion'. However... I love mixing it.

I never thought of it being an album as such - more off a collection of

Absolum dance floor killers. In the sense of sitting down and listening to an

album... it fails, but I'd argue that sitting through 'cybermancy' would also

become tedious. This is all music designed to be mixed. I suppose I should

really give a score after my excessive rantings.

so accordingly

to mix 9/10 (an long as the entire set hasn't been music like this)

as an album 4/10 (because it definately doesn't progress in any direction, but

it certainly does the business)

And let that be an end to the whole horrid affair before I am put off this

album any more!

Absolum style is very recognizable in the dancefloor, starting with the kick

arrangements, nicely placed and a beat breaker full of jinga, smooth with nice

rhythm not robotic like many trance out there, the bass is the usual standard

very chunky not flat which is a good thing, the lead is the variable that lies

between what is minimal or not and absolum does a good job with his

metalic-like crunchy distorted sounds which is a nice choice of style if vs.

excess melody, the percussion is a good quality of absolum if not the best. I

recommend this product, it is of absolutely crystal clear quality and the

choice of songs was a very important factor to the success of this album, ok

enough kissing ass...

This is pure madness just as what you can expect from tip world. Really good

psy- technoish sound. Exellent for the dancefloor but it can be a bit boring

at home. It gets 7,5/10 from me.

Hmm I have to say that after listening to this as a whole I think this is a bit

boring really. I mean, it's production is good and in fact there's nothing

wrong with this stuff. But if you listen to it a bit critically, you can hear

all the tracks are built up the same way! Dark brooding intro, with samples

from movies etc. Than bassdrum, hihats and so on. Always finfishes with a sort

of climax. Also Christof's love for The Matrix is FAR too evident in this

album, especially Drumatrix Rmx, with that sample of trinity saying: 'How'd

you do that?' Neo: 'Did what?' Trinity: 'You move like they do.. I've never

seen anyone move that fast..' I mean, it's ok... But repeat this five, six

times in quick succession and it nerves me!!

Annoys me, even... ! That said, this is not bad. I tend to approach this album

like this: Play a few tracks, maybe two or so on one day and the other day you

play another two tracks and so on... Christof could've done better in my

opinion. But.. Still not bad. 7/10 from me here, so that's still pretty high!

Buy this if you're in love with his style. If you think Absolum is just

okayish, then don't expect this album to blow you off your feet, it's just

more of the same...

This is really really hard, mind numbing music. I think comparisons to Wizzy

Noise are natural (I cant't take them either...too harddddd). I haven't heard

all the tracks but is there anything even approaching melody here? It's all

similar bass lines with some twisty, squishy sounds and not even particularly

good percussion. Too boring for me. Would probably be good in the middle of

an energetic set though.

Cristof is the shit. I always hope for a Transwave reunion album, especially

after listening to this one and Deedrah's new album. Wow, that would be great.

And how dare someone say Cristof knocked off Wizzy Noise. Although Wizzy Noise

is great in my opinion, they probably didn't even listen to trance when

Cristof was energizing the world with Transwaves great music. Rookies!!!

Absolum and the rest of the 3D Vision crew make great full power music. Keep

the releases coming.

Hmm this one is a real stomper. Exelent for the dance floor. I just love that

squeling sound, its only one problem! He use it in every single tune on the

album=(

But its a cool album. 6,5/10

This is boring, 3dVision are boring, it is the same repetitive dark vibe with a

crunchy quality. I would say I have a varied taste in trance, but this sound

is so boring, it is the New NRG of Trance.

I like this but you can live without this album being part of your

collection... although there are some real killars on this one ... the flanger

used in Ultimatum 138 is incredible... the production is also very good and

crazy stomping basslines.. I think this album is not realy a home-listening

one... this is for the dancefloor.

:rating::7/10:

This album is absolutely phenomenal! I don't understand why anyone would think

this is minimal, its right in your face FULL ON! Without a doubt made for the

dancefloor, yet I listen to it at home all the time, all the way through.

My second favorite album of 2001 at this point, behind Let It Beat. 9.9/10.

Favorite tracks are 2,3,6, and 7.

Woooooooaaaaahhhhhhhhh!

What a masterpiece!:)

I love Absolum, always with that paralel base that distingish Absolum from all

the others.

Full On stuff, really trippy with loads of abstract samples and melodies hidden

in the background. It definetly tranports us to another reality!

All songs are a bit similar, we could use a bit more of originality betwen them.

But congratulations!

Tas la, che!

Wooooooaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!
