Like the first album, this one is not as complex as other goa albums, but on the otherhand I don't think biot is goa, he's got his own unique style. He's got some real stompers like She-va and protolords, but also some nice ambient style songs like outland. My favorite has to be She-va. A mix between ambient and goatrance for some tracks, and always the style of Saturation that remains.I was very fond of the first album, so I'm of course completely disappointed by this one, but that's just the first impression you can have while listening to Synthetic.Then, you'll like it very much.Bests tracks: Higher Level and She Va Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
freak51 Posted April 14, 2000 Share Posted April 14, 2000 Gave this one a second try, when in a good mood already. Some nice tracks on here, just not what I was originally expecting. Biot's first record was great to work out annoyance; this one's useless for that. Much better if you're already quite content. She-Va has a nice lush voice effect. His new album is ,of course,diametrically different from the previous.I've been expectin' something more scraping but I came upon to completely unexpected melodic tracks.BIOT definitely changes ... let's see what would be the result... Children Posted August 21, 2000 Share Posted August 21, 2000 Good Album, but I have to admit that Freak51 is true : the bassline is too a dance-like one, which is sometimes irritating in some Tracks ... anyway all Tracks are listenable ... Best Track for me are Tracks 3 And by far Track 4, very similar to " Universal State Of Mind : All Because Of You (Mindsweeper Mix) " Track on Goa Head 2 ... There are some great tracks She-va, Protolords, Outland... A good mix of Goa & Ambient! 7/10!! I'm still trying to get the first one... U guys seems to think it's good! It's similar to Atmos-Headcleaner in that aspect but it's much more varied. Half Chill-out, half melodic trance with a minimal touch, it takes you on a journey through a really synthetically organic world. Best track must be The Listener.
