This compilation is the one that made me discover Infected Mushroom..Where is

"S"....What a blow in my mind..it was released a bit before The Gathering.

For everybody who wants to know...Where is "S" means where is "Simon"...:)

Review:

The destination goa compilations is well known here in sweden. This one

contains many swedish artists (atmos, miranda, huxflux, phoenix) It starts off

with "its alive" which is a very dark track, very scary with the vocals, It

gets a little boring though. the atmos track is amazing with its incredible

sounds! Nice build ups throughout the track! next track is by Jaïa, fast and

pumping. gms begins it's track with the adams family theme mixed with wierd

and funny noises. then we have the classic miranda track "mars needs women".

Man with no name comes up with another excellent track as usual! the first cd

ends with the slow track from phoenix, really awesome bass drum and the vocals

"I am the god"

cd2 starts off with storm remixed by man with no name, it sounds alot like

retox on the first cd! But this is an excellent remix. the space tribe track

is very boring, I don't like it at all. The next 2 tracks are simply awesome,

hux flux comes up with an amazing track with incredible sharp sounds and

infected mushroom "where is s" is even better, love it! into the static is an

average track. science friction is an okay track. the intro on metropolis is

wonderful, so spacy and dreamy! last track by chakra gets alot better after

the horrible intro. every track on this cd fits together perfectly. overall

rating 7.5/10 -- Deranger

As on all other Destination Goa CDs, there are a couple of good songs, and the

rest is either average or bad. GMS, Miranda, Jaïa and Hux Flux are really

good,

but the rest is average (except for Kayseri and Pheonix - they are as bad as

always!). "It's Alive" is one of the worst songs I've heard released - sounds

like it's made in Fasttracker. One of the better DG's though. 7/10 - TB

This is a pretty good "Destination Goa"

It has some highlights, Liquid Troll, Sillenium and Heaven and Hell. But I

think that DG has lost little of the fine track selection. I mean DG 2,3,5 is

much better then this! But buy this anyway.... maybe DG9 has something extra

to give... 6/10

Some good tracks here: Tarsis, Infected Mushroom, Atmos, Space Tribe And Jaïa!

But I still can't understand why Roberth Jarnroth gets to put "tracked" music

on all of the DG compilations. It's nicely tracked, but compared to the

professionals it sucks bad! Stop putting tracked music on these compilations

please :)! - Psylent Buddhi

My first DG CD and still the best. All tracks on CD1 are good (Well Phoenix is

only half good but his Kayseri-track is nice) and the first 4 tracks on CD are

good. Best tunes are (of course) Where is S? and Reflux. 9,5/10

The best tracks are in CD1: rate 8/10. But CD2 SUCKS!!!!!!!, Storm it´s a

fucking shit group & fucking shit song & MwnN Remix is the worst production of

MwnN; "Into the Static" it's absolutely boring shit; but the Oscars goes

to...... CHAKRA!!!!! by kidnaping to himself with "LIQUID TROLL"!!!! This

track have the same efects and acid sound from the real classic "CHAKRA & EDI

MIS - X-Files (Monkey Mix)". I don`t hear tracks 2,6,7 but i don`t like Space

Tribe very much and I hear many tracks of Synchro... Synchro SUCKS!!!!!. Only

Hux-Flux & Infected Mushroom are good songs: rate 6.5/10 & track 4 do not one

of the best of Infected M.

"Inside this room all my dreams become realities...and some of my realities become dreams."

There it is. From the horses mouth. Spoken softly and gently like a true pedophile.

Oh come on, surely I'm not the only one with eyes wide open? We've been over this. Please, Willy Wonka is the poster boy for deranged kid touchers. Soft spoken (when things are under his control), plying children with candy, and inviting them to his magical home full of fantasy creatures and toys?

People, this sh*t writes itself.

But on to the reason why you're here. This compilation generated some varying opinions didn't it? The thread is full of love, hate, and too much broken English for my tastes. Like the rumbling earth under a great metropolis there was a shift in the music. Things were happening and change was upon us. Goa was no longer this compilation's true destination. Sure it said goa on the cover and there were sounds that made me think of goa, but gone were the Indian scales and layers of melody only to be replaced by boring bass lines and minimal compositions.

Well, not totally.

Sillenium by Jaia and Reflux by Hux Flux were outstanding. Where is the S is a dark journey by the Mushrooms back when they cared how their music sounded. Normally I'm bored to tears with the minimalistic approach by any Tarsis track, but Into the Static was a moody and enjoyable experience. And of course Retox and Mars Needs Women were great. But how anyone cannot be embarrassed listening to The Growly Family is beyond me.

9gwTcnV.gif

Yes. There should be embarrassment.

Not bad, some really good stuff here, but I think this may have been the beginning of the death spiral. Nothing to be ashamed of though...they had a good run.
