Byronzed - K-T II (Total Destruction) = 5 - I didnt like the synth parts at all.. and the production is really weak.. very average generall... :- i Chiron - Ice age = 5,5 - Nice intro ...but it sounds 3-4 years old ... there is no experimentation , lots of acid sounds but nothing really special.a bit trippy.. :-) Cujorius One - Stereo Noise = 6,5 - Sounds very similar with yumade ,paps with simple bass that sounds good and has rhythmic snares. I am not personaly really into minimal.Overall the track sounds very simple(a bit empty even for a minimal track) ,there isnt any new ideas.....nothing really special ,nice try though.. :-) Dorin - Funky Junkie Flight = 3 -Typical fruit loop samples all over the place ,bad idea the "clap" sound , sounds like old techno track.Boring development, sorry didnt like it... i like the name of the track :-D Ectopile - Stereo Nasty = 6,5 - Pure minimal , nice weird space samples, but didnt like the bassline(boring) and very basic percussion style...the combination of the weird samples is good , overall is ok but its too minimal for me, nothing new... Eks Uli - Ulostan Nimesi = 1 - WooooooW ! noisy! noisy! sounds like an old Arcade game track, ok next please... sorry :-D Fafro - Captured In a Time Loop A= 7,5 - Break beat rhytm with nice layer, nice strange voice sample(is repeated many times but its not boring) , nice track for chilling out , good music for background , but nothing very very special, overall the track is nicely done , ... well done! :-) Final X - Breath of Flame = 7 - Nice start ... nice bassline , on 2:30 very nice mellody comes in! it reminds me a lot of SFX and that means it sounds old generally the track, but it has good nrg .... somehow i like it even if it doesnt has any new ideas ..maybe after several listenings gets boring but nice try man.. ;-). Franck Gross - Floatation = 4 - Sounds Like Industrial Techno with to me, the production is not good, weak basedrum, after four minutes i got bored with that ... same rhythms same mellodys, on 5:00 some acid sound not good, very loud too... a synth sound behind the acid layer irritates me and keeps repeating for long time.... boring... sorry... :-D Galactic Nebula - Power of Vision = 8 - One of my favorites in the contest , with very clean strong and excellent string layers ..great mellody starts around 1:30 (flying to space feeling) i just love this sound .... after 3:00 minute there is no beat and it is becoming very atmospheric. Not very good idea the the type of basedrum is used later .. i prefered the first one in the intro. but the melody that starts around 4:50 is again gooood... i believe this track could be better if it was on slower bmp, or without the use of any basedrums, anyway well done! :-) Gargamel - My Grandma on Acid = 5,5 - funny name, but nothing much on this track ,average , minimalistic , a bit funky, a bit bonky, a bit tripy , a bit boring , i like the structure though everything is in the right place... but ...the sounds are toooo sleepy, or something..... Helix Tribe - Opus One = 6,5 - Another track with "breaks" , nice trip melody around 3:00 it is ok generally ...It has very basic beat , but nice layers behind it .. nice for chilling out... Jenova Project - Only a Dream = 6 - Another old school track. Nice bassdrums but my opinion no claps. nice basslines , but after the 4:00 minute i didn't like it,i expected something with less cheesy. Overall is ok ..:-) Laite - Minun Luo Kauniiseen Paikkaan = - Strange track , very strange....it is basically weird noises mixed together creating a very insecure feeling(for me). a bit creepy i think... or spooky or something...anyway ..i can't grade that... ? :-o ? LJB - Fly In The Black SKy = 7 - Starts ok ! Ends Ok ! But it has the same attitude till the end , strange sounds come and go , good bassline , nice hats , not very noisy, hypnotic, fast bpm...I like it! Good one! :-) Masada - Bhongo Bhonged = 8,5 - Nice One ! That is a really good track , good work guys , melodic , professional work ... This track is In my favorites so far in the contest..Hope to listen it in a party... maybe in a nice beach around 5-6 o clock in the morning......WELL DONE! ! :-) :-D ! Mazenga - Cosmic Cubensis = 6 - Minimalistic rhythms again , doesnt have much to say for this track "same here same there " like as i said before i am not a minimal-listener much simplicity and emptyness... i can only say that it is very good produced , the sounds are clear no errors, very good structured, looks like the guys spend time to produce it .... :-) Metronome - Skevrolet Cabriolet = 8 Ok this is minimal too , buuut i really like this one a lot . It has awesome production and they created very nice basses , strange sounds , it has professionalism , excellent track structure, and sounds very neeew ....my opinion is that it is the best minimal track in the contest so far!And definetely deserves a place in the compilation....WELL DONE ! ;-D Mindfly - Yummy in my Tummy : 7 - funny name ... minimal once again , and again nice production , clean, no errors, good structure ,this one is a bit groovy , tribalistick , with nice cut around 5:00 , good for the dancefloor , the minimal lovers will like it ! nice work... :-) ! Reminds me Son Kite a lot...... ;-D Nebralgic Flowers - Illegal Datura = 4 - Sirens? Nice sirens.... :-) Acid Trance ? But bad sound production ... i like the intro , and the acidlines are a bit twisted(but very loud) , but it isnt good structured with different layers and the sound is unbalanced ... Maybe with a better gear , something better? ;-) .. Monokromi - Organic Ghost Tatoo = 5 - Dark trance .. but lacks in sound quality... , really loud snares , and not clearly distiguishable sounds, and dont like the main bassline... maybe again the lack of good gear is a reason..i heard some good ideas ... keep working something really nice might come from you in the future... ;-) Negative PH - Rising Site = 7,5 - Similar to zorba style , mellow , not really psychedelic , but not bad at all.. Easy going cheesy...This is pure mellow trance, good sound quality , positive nice feelings, love, thinking of put some good vocal samples too? Nice One! :-D Noisis - Underlife = 7 - A weird track propably made by weird guys . I cant say that i hate it or like it , its a bit mystery. Technically sounds good . around 6:00 minute its becoming more interesting , it has a lot of psychedelia , maybe i will like it in the future..need more time to say.. this is ok maybe more than ok...he! he! :-) Nostromus - Psy Dimension = 7 - Another mellow track , but this one has harder basslines ,hard kick, and it is fast. It is not a typical mellow trance track .. good effects , typical acidlines , it is not an excellent track but is at least good .. I like it. :-) Organic Paradoxx - Horrorfied = 9,5 - Excellent Intro!! Pure evil ,dark, psycho ,intro..Ok this is too much evil , but definetely like it ! excellent evil voice samples nice to listen with headphones!! Hey Mark are you behind all this? he ! he! I believe that is The Best track in the contest! I know it is very early to say that but this is truly good believe me.....(no iam not payed to say all these) , i hope to see u soon in a record company (maybe you are already somewhere)....other releases?when?WELL DONE! :-D :-D :-D Psychopat - Sweety Macrobe = 8 - Another very good track , psychedelic trance 100% . Excellent quality , very detailed , professional, very nice done generally.maybe a bit boring after some listening..... Anyway It must be in the compilation .... :-D Sienis - Rubbabong = 9 - Ooooh another .... very very good track .... true psychedelic trance , full on power psychedelic , yeaaah , with very nice cuts, and lovely bass. Twisted sounds , yeaah.. it is not a killer track but This one is already in the comp. he! LOVELY DONE!! :-) :-D Spiralgeist - Mean and Mean = 8,5 - Ok good one again , in progressive minimal ways goes on and goes on , some string layers , some soft synth sounds, nice percussion , especially the combination of the snare and the hats.... its excellent for after hours ,partys.... good good! In the favorite list definetely..... maybe in the comp....too... :-D Trip - Goa = 6,5 - Intro "Nuts" sample? again claps all over, naaaah, anyway its ok generally , the acidsounds are bit outdated but are used nice and the track structure its fine.. not in my favorites but definetely good...sounds like 95-96 .... :-) These are my personal beliefs after listening each track for couple times ....I believe that in this contest participate many promising artists and they are going to participate definetely many others in the near future ... This contest helps definetely the music that all we love to expand .Also helps new artists who never had tha chance to show their work all over the world... . :-D ps : sorry for my errors, english is not my first language.... My preferences are : Sienis 9, Psychopat 8, Nebralgic Flowers 6 and Chiron 5, there are very psychedelic and powerfull. But the others for me are very minimal, all under 5 And excuse me but ((( Organic Paradoxx - Horrorfied = 9,5 )))) for me = 0 perhaps 1. Really an horror, not trance, dark, dark, dark.......!!! Crisp sounds that don't interfere with each other too much unless intended for a harmonic quality the tones give each other.. It's something that takes a bit of practice and some definate knowledge of compression, eq, distortion, filters, reverb, etc.. when to use each etc.. I see promise in some of the minimal tracks presented, and some are quite horrible (ie, nothing really happens in the track).. It's good production and ideas vs. bad production and no innovation.. but anyways, this is a great way for people to get stuff out and heard and have some feedback, or just have fun.. But I think it's real hard to come up with something interesting without having the oppurtuinity to make the production drown in melodies and sounds.
