  1. Damn. I heard about that. Lucky bastard you are.
  2. I totally forgot that was released in 2004. Great album!
  3. Personally, I hardly ever use the crossfader. I feel I have more control without it. The best thing to do is know which frames match which. In addition to beat matching, you have to know where a track should be mixed in/out. Knowing every aspect of your music helps, along with practice. Most of the time, when beatmatching, it is alot easier to bring in bass first, and usually leads to what in my opinon, less harsh transitions. However, this assumes the bass lines match well. Remember, not EVERY track can be matched.
  4. I use some Mac OSX software, so you are probably going to have to search downloads.com. Oh, doesn't the default windows sound recorder work??
  5. I haven't heard any news on the new 1200mics. Any links?
  6. I thought about doing this awhile back. I actually really liked the orginal review section for psynews, but, I believe it was static, making it a pain in the ass to be updated. My friend actually talked about writing a template that would allow people to upload an image as the album cover, a place for the tracklisting, artist, album name etc, that would send an email to the admin and all you would have to do is approve/decline. I don't have the necessary coding schools but I would be filling to contribute material and what not.
  7. Well, do you just want to record a set for fun, or is it going to be during a show? If you are just chilling and spinning, just use your Master Out. That will work fine.
  8. Hey. You are more than welcome to use my mixes. They can be found @ http://www.psytrip.org/forums/viewforum.php?f=1 Any versus mix or solo mix with my name (Slyde) you are more than welcome to use. I will check with Neuro to see if he is cool with you grabbing his solo mixes as well. Let me know what you think, and playtimes.
  9. Say I am playing a show. I have cables going from Master Out --> Amp. That is what the crowd hears. Now, in order for me to record my set without all the crowd noise, my mixer has an additional Tape Out, that I connect to my PowerBook (http://www.apple.com/powerbook/). Then I use a program that records the audio into a wav. You can use the tapeout to connect to anything. DAT, MiniDisc, MP3 record, laptop, etc. Let me know if you still have questions.
  10. Hello I use an RCA to MiniJack cable from my mixer to my PowerBook. From there I just use a simple audiorecorder.
  11. Haha, thats the same thing that attracts me to them, is 'their' sound. It is just so different. But yes, change is a good thing, so I am eager to hear something new, regardless.
  12. Rock on. Is it ok to plug some of my stuff? I mix with a buddy, Neuro, who has been in the scene a long time. Enjoy http://psytrip.org/mixes.html
  13. What's the latest from GMS? Anyone hear of any new releases?
  14. Juno Reactor - Labyrinth :: Absolutley an AMAZING album. Best of 2004 EASILY. Infected Mushroom - IM The Supervisor Abakus - Closer To The Sun Sadly, haven't gotten a chance to collect alot of good goa/psy over the best year. Those are the two best in my opinion.
