Apart from the old 4-man era of Etnica / Pleiadians, my all-time favourite goa trance act is Underhead. They just released 7 tracks (well, 8 with the one released as EA 1729 in 1995) but they're all AWESOME!
Other obscure favourites:
Space Dimension (Also "Space Demon" and "Invaders")
Totally fucking awesome acid darkness
Section X
More hardtrance really, but still way trippier than most goa acts
Universal Island
Dark and hypnotic project on the POF label... "Dark Moon" is an all-time favourite
Deflo
Cool production and with a unique "riot" feel to it... punky!
Factor
Ololiuqui side project that released two very nice Tunnel 12"s
...and regarding Encens, the best track by far is Infinite Image =)
I've searched for Underhead tracks periodically.. Whirlrain of Fire is all I have.. Hard to find. Space Dimension too LP only. Wish I could find samples, I'm highly interested in some of these.

Trance2moveU: Four Carry Nuts - Hexagon
+1
Thank You

It's out!
I see that psyshop shows it's available.
I can't wait to hear these in perfect clarity! That and I'm surprised I haven't really seen much talk or enthusiasm about Cerealogy. Yes it definitely leans more minimal, of which I'm no big fan, but this track absolutely exudes power/force in a way that not much else I've heard does. Makes me want to learn to fly large aircraft... haha Hold on passengers!

Beethoven - Adagio Sustenuto
Moby - My Weakness

Alright so this thread has given me a lot of thought, and I took a lot of the suggestions & mixed them with my personal taste came up with this.
Maybe a good compilation would look like this?? Please critique. Starts off fast, smooths out in the middle, & the end is IMO the weaker part. Maybe I could have chosen better there. hm.. Had to throw in second NDMA track in homage to Anoebis.
Slinky Wizard - Supernatural 8:36
MFG (Asia 2001) - Magnetic Activity (Remix) 8:48
MFG - To Eternity 8:46
Pleiadians - Modulation 16:50
NDMA - Vitan 10:07
Slinky Wizard - Slinky Wizard 8:45
MIcronesia - Shakta & Moonweed 7:40
Chi-A.D. - Exit Eternity 10:54
Transwave - Arsonik 6:28
Man With No Name - Teleport 5:53
UX - Master Of The Universe 9:49
NDMA - The Answer 10:03
Substitute Magnetic activity with the Overload Rmx? I couldn't decide on that one. There were so many good suggestions that I would have liked to use but getting them to flow together was tough...
Good thread Anoebis!! .. gave me a lot of ideas..

Nice! :posford: Vitan, I do like this track.
I've recently become enamored with Slinky Wizard - Supernatural.
I know its probably more psy than goa.

What a strange coincidence! I've been listening to Optimystique for the last few weeks, and now I see this thread!

Always liked the track Soundbeams. Which I have on VA - Goa Vibes vol. 1 /Trust in Trance Label
Has a crunchy escalating sound that I love. One of my favs.

Can anyone make anymore recommendations?
-
-
How long is this track?
-
Yeah, I agree. I do listen to Twisted maybe twice a year, but koxbox almost never. Quality albums, just not my favorites.
-
Its hard to pick just 5 but..
Dimension_5-Transdimensional
Pleiadians-I.F.O.
Hallucinogen-Twisted
Koxbox-Dragon Tales
X-Dream-Radio
Were leaving out a lot of really good compilations.. Koxbox might be substituted with Lone Deranger?
-
Yeah I know, and I don't begrudge anybody that pays what its worth to them. There's just better stuff out there that is completely ignored. Some of those don't have this mythical legendary status. Even 'transdimensional' is better IMO, far better. I do understand that its probably the pleiadians tracks effect that drives this thing through the roof, but still...
-
I don't understand why this is so sought after really. I wouldn't mind owning it but there are a half dozen other compilations I can think of off the top of my head that are just as good or better in my opinion that I NEVER see people mention!
-
Well, the set looks already interesting. Maybe, it's only a proposal, you could substitute "Cycles of Life" with "Robostyx" from Transwave, which sounds IMO better for this kind of atmosphere. I would have put also after "Cosmo shiva" probably "Cathexis" from Rhythmystec.
Now, you know, every person has his own tastes & perceptions of the sounds & music. Choose the tracks you feel the better to be mixed together with your personal view.
Yes! Nuns do it for me.
Rhythmystec eh!? We think alike, I was already considering Plutonica. Maybe Manmademan-Elevator too.. hmm I'll try Robostyx too. Thanks good suggestions!
-
Ok, I've been listening a LOT lately, cycling through many many tracks trying to find the perfect one to compliment my set. As you can see I've borrowed heavily from certain albums some of you will recognize.
I'm happiest when I find two that seem to almost flow right into each other. Not all of these do that perfectly but.. So far though this is what I've come up with.
What do you guys think?? It's not complete & I'm still not sure about a few. I still have to figure out how to close it out. Anyone have any suggestions for tracks 8,9... or maybe even possible substitutions/improvements. I almost went with pleaiadians-zeta reticuli instead of babylon 'n ting. Thinking its kind of nice not to have them in every single comp. Any suggestions welcome! Oh, & I know I've gone green nuns berserk!
1.Green Nuns of the Revolution - Two Vindaloos & An Onion Bhagee
2.Slinky Nuns - Shitty Stick (Better Than A Poke In The Eye With A)
3.Syb Unity Nettwerk - Morphogenesis
4.Syb Unity Nettwerk - Cosmo Shiva
5.Green Nuns of the Revolution - Megallenic Cloud
6.Transwave - Cycles of Life
7.Tristan v. A Green Nun - Babylon 'n Ting

The only page that I can think of that was something like this was the old review section on this site, with the black backdrop with stars, purple & green text. I always liked that look better. Was that what it looked like?? Otherwise...fusionanomaly..I can't remember any others.
V/A - Sundrops: Lights In Motion

Whoah! I just looked at the tracklist on this. Nice lineup, but was shocked to see a name like Virtuart! Review forthcoming.
