  1. I talked to you yestarday about ChiAD . I didnt enjoyed his songs a long tima ago cause there´s some songs that abuse of the Reeverb but now im in love with it. I told you its the floating atmo that hypnotizes you. Chi AD is awesome , i admit it isnt a artist that you love his songs at first sight , cause its a mature sound. Only for the pure Souls and Minds.Recommended ONLY for the Experienced Goa lovers. :)

  2. I've been out of the psy scene for a while after Flying Rhino went to the wall but am getting back into it after getting introduced to Tribe of Frog.  I'm a bit old school and out of touch with newer acts ever since my local indie record shop changed hands and stopped stocking any trance.  Also have to admit I got a bit close minded about newer acts thinking nothing could top classic psy from the 90s. As none of my mates or anybods at work can tell psy trance from nu-metal so it's good to find this forum. Cheers.

    You´re in the right spot.

    Welcome!! ;)

  3. Amazing no one mentioned Darshan - Phased Transition.

It´s one of my favorite tracks ever! The beginning (uff that bassline really sets you in the mood) The sample from Hoffmans journal ("i could feel the lsd floating through my entire body...i began to lift up and away from my body) and then the ending hmmmm i love it.

is this the same tape everyone is talking about?

anyway from the whole tape i only found one song till now. its astral projection life in mars. the rest its been so many years and i still haven t found the rest.

Then i listened to IFO and i was addicted.............simple

the tape i had was a recorded one, not original , and didnt had astral on it.

  5. Jon i fully agree with you. Full on is disgracing the real meaning of psytrance , but i dont care! Psytrance finished to me a long time ago! Fullon doenst give me the same feeling when i hear a goasong. Its the feeling that is different , not the bassline or kick like some people mencioned too.My bashing mode is off (and it seems the button is broken ) , i dont like fullon but im ill going to look and wait for a good release out there. Till then , with full on or not there will be always good people out there (like you guys) that think and feel the same as we do , so ill just continue on my corner , sticking around with Goa-Trance and keeping the same feeling i had when i first listened to Goa. I´ll keep on Goa and ill keep praticing and praticing so that i can release something for the Future.

    Cheers. :)

  6. Hey AmithabaBuddha, with all respect towards your love to goa, I find that you are being slightly strict and without any reason bashing something you haven't heard. The name of the albums says itself that it might be the idea you might like. If you heard it and heard that is full on, you still can't just bash it just because it is full on, I mean, you can dislike the genre but it seems that in almost every topic you post, you say something about full on being disgusting. You see, I don't like full on either but it is a little bit too much constantly hating something so much. No offense, just calm down with the hatred towards full on and you might discover even something you'd like from that genre...;)

    bashing mode off ;)

    sorry guys and Seraph. :)

  7. Full On was basically new genre back in 1998 when it sounded massive, powerful and as the name says completely full sounding. First full on artists were Xerox & Freeman with their album Human Race, to me one of the best full on albums. Guy Zukrel continued this at the time pretty good trend and released melodic full on album For All Mankind, one of my favourite albums in that genre. There was first 3 volumes of Israeli Full On music that were really good and innovative for its time and when full on actually had its definition. Full on continued being massive and melodic until the year 2000. Then, new, faster basslines were added and made full on slightly more immature sounding. More and more new artists were poping making this originally innovative genre mediocre. But there were few artists that made that genre solid and stable for that moment back in 2001-2002 : Astrix, Alien Project, GMS, Atomic Pulse, Safi Connection etc. I liked those artists back then, but now they all got into hyper productive mode and splashed us with tons of trivial full on which continued in year 2003 and 2004 sounding more immature and silly. So, this is not about hating full on, just its regression from very massive, powerful genre into something mild, mediocre and silly. I very rarely hear normal full on these days and not to think, Hey, I've already heard this track....for 100th time ! That is the basic problem with it. And, no, Fractal Glider is not making full on. Maybe his last album is a little bit fullonish but it is surely one of the better full on albums in last few years...;)

you take out all the words of my mouth ;)
  8. I listened to that one tape 2 months long in the vacation every day... was addicted to it...Never heard such an intilligent music ever before... It took me 6 months before I found another goa cd... My purpase was to identify each goa track on that mix tape & to buy it original... Well 5 years later I founded like 5 songs from the 13 I'm looking for... :( ... But still, what a quest  :) and also the mean reason why I (still) collected so much goatrance...

How did yours start?... I believe some interesting stories will rise here...

WOW! same happened to me man!!!! i got a tape from a skool mate and i forgot to ask him which genre was it , i loved the tape but the tape ruined itself and then no goa , i found the genre on 2000 in Goa head vol.12 which was the RA - Initiated song! :) im still searching for the songs that were on the tape but no luck i cant found it. and thats also the reason i got so much goa B)

  9. its not the first time that this happens. a while ago some brazilian song "eu quero namorar" by a commercial band i dont know of , was remixed by GMS!! it seems that this stupid fashion is coming up so get ready that someday youll get another subgenre of fullon subgenre called poopypsytrance....
