Hm, Aero...now that you mention it, I think I heard some of this one. So it's newer than Rewind? CoolAcido, you purely have to listen to Aero.
/me fires up the mule

I don't know either album yet, but if I had to decide which to get I'd go for Ticon. Last one I got was "Rewind" and I liked it a lot.

Sounds like cool parents you have there
Me, I don't have a fucking clue what kind of music my dad would have liked. I know he used to be into (big surprise!) Beatles before I was born, but I can't remember him listening to anything but news. My mum has always been "Beatles? Yeah, I've heard about them", owned only classical music discs and some fore sports lessons
Well, we just had it in the OT section...I came from the techno/acid scene, and it wasn't for the drugs that I came to psy but the stuff I took before listening to the first goa tracks certainly opened my mind for it. One night it just clicked and I was hooked

Trancefeld: Schwarze Schraube

Uh...why not?my opinion: don't eat mushrooms and then post on forums.
On the original question: I think on shrooms I prefer the Thai alphabet. Very inspiring!

If only it didn't need M$MPWe are broadcasting via the internet right now (3am Perth time) at www.base.fm

Just listening: Zebra-n - Man on a Mission. Very nice MP-ish "BBC English" sample "Well, that went as well as could be expected, didn't it?" at the 3min break

I love Scatterbrain's "Mexican Jesus", it sounds so, uh...cool (not in the "rulez" sense ), very detached. "No conspiracy" by Shakta hasn't been mentioned yet I think, also a nice one. Hallucinogen's have become classics throughout, but I tend to overdo it on them and athen I don't like them as much any more. "Speech Work" does the same by itself IMHO---cool (in the "rulez" sense!) idea, but ab bit too much of it. Anyway still a good track. My favorite is still Cosmosis' "Weird, sick&twisted".

Makati most likely, the business district where most foreigners go to work I stayed in the province, Bacolod, capital of Negros Occidental.Where?

Mittelstandskinder ohne Strom - Lunar Church
-
Liquid Lunar - With Dragon's Hand
Zodiac Youth - Fast Forward the Future
Kopfuss Resonator - Whipbird
That's about half of DJ Moonchild's "Psychedelic Activity Vol.1". Still a nice disk today though far from being my favorite, but I've cried like a baby through most of the tracks, tripping my head off on a good dose of shrooms after fasting...
Good thing "San Pedro" and "Manzanilla" hadn't been recorded yet at the time, I would have died from dehydration.

"Psychedelic at the Track" by any chance? On a last party I heard a beautiful psytrance track with some jazzy things mixed in.
I do mean some saxophone parts and so on.
-
Very good Yeah the 90s...I actually explained to my sis once, when she said she could never hear any difference between "ordinary techno" and "your goa stuff" anyway that the simplest way to identify a psytrance CD was to look at the track lengths. If there's any two-digit number of minutes, it's very likely either classical music or psytrance. Which of the two should be easy to guess from the cover thenhmmm I still do long tracks and always will.

It would probably make a terrible mix like this, but at some darker time I'd want these included:
Klangstrahler - Nexxus (Il profondo ... mix)
Shakta - No Conspiracy
Sonnenvakkum - Tiefenrausch
Intact Instinct - Achtungbeschleuniger
BOTFB - Scoobydoo Meets the Fluff Monster
Silicon Sound - Inner Space
BLT - Monolith
Naked Tourist - Zombifiziert Mix
Protoculture - Halusignorita
Cosmosis - Weird, Sick and Twisted
Transa - Recoil
Tristan - Dawn Raider
Kundalini - Rasa
Technossomy - V.T.O.L.
GNOTR - Atomic Armadillo (The Fluffening)
Fluorostani Transcendance - Synchronity Converger
Just noticed that there may be too much talking for many people's taste

Saafi Bros. 0wn! Although my favorite is still "Mystic Cigarettes", this one is also a must:
-
How about that for a pickup line? But as big a hit as this track has supposedly become, it has probably been tried almost as often as the one with th eyes. IMHO the track sucks though.Good lyrics... might try track it down. Not that i'm much into vocals in psy but if samples and subtle... could be good!

ITIYM "Twisted" by Wayne G. and Stewart Who?right just a really quick post to ask, whats the name of that tune that goes
"excuse me, do you fuck as well as you dance?
Google is your friend.

Thanks, m8! But only when I get back to colder climates---I wouldn't trust our mail service here to deliver vinyl undamaged. It's hard enough in the tropical temperatures, and then with the way they treat parcels... :/This is really great 12"
And maybe baby.... I may have 2 copies of this. i will check, And if i have, You can buy, the copy Ï will check my rec´s

Hey, I should have followed that link earlier -- just learned that they are identical with Unconscious Collective which I thought had ceased to exist a long time ago. Their Fluorostani E.P. is still very high among my all-time favorites! Just downloading the DJ mix from their page...Tatsu, you mean OOOD?! Have a look here for information about the collective

Miraculix is just too obvious, even more as it's probably Europe's best-selling blotter art. Almost like Hallucinogen, although as I said I think the really old ones have an excuse as the pioneers
You can observe some "periods" of fashion in naming bands similar to many computer companies though not as clearly: from neutral business (DEC, IBM) over technoid (Tektronix, AMD) to hippyish (Apple, Kentucky Fried Computers) back to business...in psytrance it's the classical Indian or drug-related names to quite creative word-plays and a wide expansion of themes, then to more neutral technoid.
Son Kite is nice IMHO (as is Fractal Glider), not a mainstream imagery but a beautiful one...it just doesn't fit their music all that well.

I think you should be able to do that until you reach 3000 posts. After that, the username should automagically be changed to Mr. Waggoner.
BTW, is the spelling of "Newcommer" still there for reasons of tradition? I'd say spell it with a u if the double m is really necessary. It would suit Psynews' new image as Home of the Hormones.
