  1. Expecting following in the mail somewhere this week & next week:

    Dreadzone - Second light

    Juno Reactor - Labyrinth

    Pleiadians - Family of light

    X-Dream - We created our own ...

    Sandman - Witchcraft

    COP - Urban alien

    Hol Baumann - Human

    Solar Fields - Movements

    V.A. - Air (preorder)

    Tasty bunch .... :)

  2. what I found surprisingly good this year were two releases of Demon Tea Records.....

    MEEO - Highlight me please (I for one definately hear the inspiration he got from listening to Mr Posford but it's far from a pathetic rip of!!)

    Squazoid - Fantasia (psychedelic quality full on surprise!!! and deserves more attention here!!!!)

    also the 2 Kino Oko albums and Tetrameth album (Zenon records) were very good....

    Lots of quality chill out music out there in recent times!!!

    Keep the search alive!

  3. just ordered my copy of:

    Solar Fields - Movements (and while doing so I thought by myself why not order:

    Solar Fields - Reflective Frequencies at once....tricked again....hehe....)

    also, a new copy of Juno Reactor's Labyrinth is on the way....(lost my 1st one it seems....:-( )

    actually I made a mistake in ordering the Reflective frequencies as I was a bit confused and held this one by mistake for the Extended album which is no longer available....luckily enough I was able to switch this one for Hol Baumann's Human album.... happy happy...

  4. Back in the mid/late 90s there were stores in Copenhagen where half their stuff was goa and all the commercial stores had their section.

    Too bad I didn't bought more of the good and now rare albums. I remember standing in the one of those shops with I.F.O. (and countless others) in my hand thinking "I wonder if this is a good album" and then put it back...

    kind of the same story here in Belgium as well, back in the mid=nineties you could find compilations like Traveling, Distance to goa but also artist albums Hallucinogen "Twisted", Space Tribe "Sonic mandala", Juno Reactor "Trancemissions", etc.... in local record stores.....today nothing except really really crappy colmpilations with the f**** misleading title of "the very best of goa-trance" which if that was my first encounter with goa or psy, it would scare me.....utter crap....not even worthy of the predicament "music", imo.....

    it's really a shame though....because now for me, as well as for most belgians the only way to get some quality goa/psy is internet.... ... ...but if I can manage....others can too....

  5. Atmos - Tour de trance

    Vibrasphere - Lungs of life

    Solar Fields - Movements

    Crop Circles - Tetrahedron (i know....)

    OOOD - Fourthought

    possibly some others that i can't remember right now....dmt cowboys was the title but the artist seems to have slipped my mind right now. :angry: ...damn....i now it starts with a "c" (i'm too lazy to look it up now...), anyway, the album has a remix of Talpa's the moon.....

    oh, possibly Electrypnose - Funked up and the Future memories compilation (so many great artists on it...), also the new Abakus before it's too late like his previous one....grrrr.....

  6. yep, that pretty much shows how many people go to parties for the music and how many just consider it a background for taking drugs... I have some friends who would never dream of listening to psy at home but see it as the ultimate music to listen to when high. It is sad IMO...

    a very sad truth indeed and perhaps thé burden for goa(trance)/psy to overcome if it were to be taken "seriously"....it is a sad fact that goa(trance)/psy and drugs are always linked...as if it were a symbiosis....at least in Belgium this is very much the case...as if people can't enjoy this music without taking drugs...

    on the other hand, if those dopies should buy more psy and support our beloved artists, we should perhaps encourage their domestic drug (ab)use more..... :lol: ....(this is cynical humor of course)

    but the point is that this kind of music is generally ALWAYS connected with drugs in the minds of "outsiders" and that's a damn shame..... :(

    sorry if this is a bit of topic....but I needed to get this of my chest....

  7. +1

    But no need for the negative commend in the end of your thread.... You don't HAVE to reply you know ;)

    possibly came out a bit too strong....wasn't meant that negative actually....sometimes labeling things can be helpfull but it is overlabeling what "concerns" me sometimes....

    anyway, perhaps i came out a bot too strong....all apologies for that, but not for my opinion....

    ;)

  8. was listening to V.A. / Retrodelica (Flying Rhino) the other day and it hit me....

    The Overlords - Gods eye (on goa)......this is just one of those songs that sticks with you...a true classic in my opinion....one of my favorite tracks ever! and that's a fact!!

  9. ...I think we all should be happy that the last couple of years there seems to be an uprise in artists that create music that we all came to know as goa(trance)....so why this need to label it differently???

    goa=goa in my very humble opinion....oldschool, newschool.....at the end it is goa(trance), not?

    why make it so complicated? I always thought that persons who like goa(trance) were openminded (of course openmindedness is not a goa(trance) thing alone!!!!!!!) ...then why this need to label it and put it into different pigeon holes...keep it simple and enjoy the music!!!

    Pleiadians, Etnica, Filteria, Ra, Goasia, Astral Projection, .... = goa(trance).....

    Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple, Rolling Stones, Placebo, Muse, Sonic Youth, ... = rock.....

    well, that's just my opinion of course....if you feel the need to label it differently then goahead....but don't force your need for extreme labeling onto the rest of us....thank you....

  11. ...I bought a lot of "old and not so old material" this year as well..... :rolleyes: ...some albums I knew were great but never bought, others were a fresh surprise (thank you Ultimae for some part!)...

    Anyway, here is my list for this one (that is the ones worth mentioning and in no particular order):

    * Etnica - Alien protein (Blue Room Released 1996 - Inpsyde reissue 2002)

    * Astral Projection - Another world (Phonokol - 1999)

    * Tandu - Multimoods (Phonokol 1997)

    * Solar Fields - Leaving home (Ultimae 2005)

    * CBL - World of sleepers (Ultimae 2006)

    * HUVA Network - Distances (Ultimae 2004)

    * Logic Bomb - Unlimited (TIP World 2002)

    * Androcell - Efflorescence (Celestial Dragon 2006)

    * Cell - Phonic peace (Indica 2005)

    * Loopus in Fabula - Fat ladies bingo (Fabula records 2006)

    * Transwave - Backfire (3d Vision 2006/2007)

    ...and there it is....I can see that 2008 was year that musically speaking brought me back to my electronic roots: goa trance......together with a deeper exploration of the mysterious sonic fields of different types of chill/downbeat/ambient....the journey was long and hard...but I've finally gone where some lucky bastards already went.....(suggestions for further exploration are welcome)

  12. I am very happy to inform you all that my copy of Logic Bomb - Unlimited finally arrived!!!

  13. ....but all things considered.....they remain a milestone [edit 26/12/08 0u50: ... that has aged poorly, hearing it back these days ]......... ... ... ...no more no less.........

    [edit 26/12/08 0u55: I just do not like this album, that's why it's not a personal milestone, however I can imagine it could be one in general.....

    Just wanted to add that I was unaware of this unwritten law, apparantely written now ; there were never supposed to be 2 posts, just one....; all apologozies Rah....]

  14. ....pffff......
