  1. Panic in Paradise always always makes me happy :)

    My favorite X-Dream track.

    Here is my "happy" tracks:

These aren't melodic or to produce happiness though.

    Ka-Sol - Waspnest

Dead Dog Barking - Hybris 1939-1945

    Doda Hundens Kykra - Spannbalteboogie

  2. It is just a feeling. Not something I can put into words. But let me try. I listen to lets say some popular deep house track released in 2016, and then some goa track released in 1996, and it just feels like as if the goa track is the more modern one. From a technical level it sounds more advanced to me.

Because goa/psytrance is more technically advanced that most other electronic genres.

  3. It's because psytrance songs are soooo long...I've been listening to psytrance for years and sometimes even I get annoyed at how much filler there is

    in a lot of songs.

I played a song I really liked for my friend and he listened to the first minute and got bored obviously, since the good part starts at 3 minutes...or towards

    the end of the song.

It's simple...people have short attention spans, and they want instant melodies or groove to grab them from the first second.

Exactly. If psytrance became too commercial, the fullon bassline would be too prominent and that one strange psychedelic acid line would be hated.

(None of the stuff I said made sense at all)

  4. sun project - macrophage

is a great goa album with lots of acid.

best tracks, I feel, Space Dwarfs, Energia Magica, sexdrugs & acidtrance 2

but i already suggested I Feel, which is my personal favorite AcidGoa track.

Other great tracks with lots of acid, seems like i talk about these tracks all the time hehe, but its ok.

its psynews afterall, we enjoy talking about the same shit over and over again.

    anyway;

Toi doi- replicant is also a heavy hitter, aswell as

    Tarsis - atomic children.

takes a few minutes to evolve but @ 3:30 somewhere a REALLY good acid line comes up and creates a monster track!

The acid line is a TB-303. Classic machinery!

Are there old-school hi-hats and basslines?
  6. :) slide is definitely in the same category (listening to it as I type) dark, playful and funky. But I'm looking for the same in forest territory with a Goa touch. :P

    Thanks !

Hmm, the forest territory? I can do that well.
