And here we go again...

We can follow the heist from here now:
I will politely ask you to remove this as I take personal offence from this post. This Kickstarter is run by me, not Kristian. I have been supporting the Psy Trance scene with my wallet for 25 years now, longer than a lot of people here. Starting with no experience and running the projects alone, I have successfully completed 7 Kickstarter projects, something that I still consider magical. All the projects are with artists that a lot of record labels would be drooling over having them in their roster.
As in every project run before Elysium, I secure all the audio files before starting the campaign. I don't want to end up with thousand of pounds in my pocket and no music to release. And so is the case here as you can see on my Bandcamp page. This project is run by me and only me and there is nothing that can go wrong. If Kristian failed to deliver to his fundraiser is irrelevant.
My point here is not to defend Kristian (and I haven't since I have no personal knowledge about the issues and as a way of life I do not jump to conclusions). I just want to stress that this project will be fulfilled and I will be the Santa Clauss bearing gifts for the people who decide to get in my list

for sure, in defense of digital reprints, thanos has gone into this with full awareness, from what i understand all deals have been done, and the money is going straight to him
Exactly like that. In addition, I choose the artists purely based on my personal musical taste, irrespective of which one is more possible to succeed. I had Elysium in my mind from the beginning to be honest and I took the shot. And it looks its gonna be a successfully concluded campaign as well.

Not giving him another cent until he releases the album he promised years ago.
A logical and expected reaction which I fully understand. I wasn't aware of the fundraiser back then so I do not how I would react/feel if I was in the same situation. Maybe in the end it's about whether you think the music is worth more than the character/attitude? I don't know, each individual sets his own limits. I think his music is way too good to let this opportunity pass.

Only 20% left to reach the target
Digital Reprints (UK) and Kristian Thinning combine their forces to bring you another awesome release. Limited to 100 copies, 4xCDs full of music never before released on a physical media.
Tracks from Elysium, Sheyba, Wombatmusic and Stereo Dwarf. Check the bandcamp link for full tracklist."The project will be limited to 100 copies worldwide. 10 of those copies will be signed by Kristian and all of them will be hand-numbered. 4 CDs in an 8-panel digipack with a slipcase. The first 2 CDs will be his live versions, the 3rd will be a collection of side projects and tunes, including some unreleased material. And the 4th disc will be a compilation of downtempo tracks to chill you out, introducing his most recent alter ego, Stereo Dwarf, released for the first time."
Please share... -
Link needs fixing, that's not a Kickstarter

I think it's time to present you with my latest Kickstarter project.
Elysium - Live...And Beyond
As always 4 Cds in an 8-panel digipack never released before on physical media. I think you all know Kristian and his contribution to the Goa scene. Have a read as an introduction if you want or scroll all the way down for the tracklist.
"I don't usually give a perfect score to releases, but this...this is an exemption. A perfect album by Elysium. All tracks have the distinct Elysium sound but still sound very modern, they are clearly Goa but sound fresh, they sound familiar but they are not a mere rework. And to top it up...they are free to download. For all the record labels managers promoting the new sound of Goa, these tracks deserve a proper (cd) release. Add a couple unreleased tracks and make it a double. Hell, I might even start a kickstarter for that. 10/10 "
Thanos P. May 2015 on Discogs
Admittedly, not the most well written review but it just goes to show the way I felt just after listening for the first time Elysium's Live versions of his classic tracks. And although he was the first to put the first seed of what is now Digital Reprints 4 years ago, it took 8 releases and 7 Kickstarter projects to find his place (with your help) in my music library.
Coming from the golden age of Goa Trance he managed to establish his own distinct sound with his very first release, Project One in 1994. Rather slow (for Goa Trance standards) tempo, hypnotic melodies and tribal rhythms made him one of the names that come to mind when you try to explain to someone what Goa is about. His collaborations with Tsuyoshi Suzuki, Jean Borelli, Paul Jackson and Graham Wood left us with some stormy classics.
In 2010 he decided to give for free (with his rest of discography) the live versions of his tracks that he used at his performances. These are not mere retouched versions, but fully fledged out, standing on their own tracks that never forget their roots.
And these tracks are why I am asking your support to print on physical media so as not to be lost in an obscure digital cloud in the distant future.
The project will be limited to 100 copies worldwide. 10 of those copies will be signed by Kristian and all of them will be hand-numbered. 4 CDs in an 8-panel digipack with a slipcase. The first 2 CDs will be his live versions, the 3rd will be a collection of side projects and tunes, including some unreleased material. And the 4th disc will be a compilation of downtempo tracks to chill you out, introducing his most recent alter ego, Stereo Dwarf, released for the first time. And as always you will be able to add it on your Bandcamp collection, you don't want to wear out that little shiny disc, do you?
The people that have backed me up on my previous project know what they are getting. The rest, well...just check their comments on my Bandcamp or Discogs profile and you'll know you wont be disappointed.
I don't really like too many words, in my projects music does the talking and so far has worked quite well, don't you think?
Turn your volume up, press play and dance like no one is watching.

I wonder if we had Newschool tracks mastered the old way. Would they sound more Goa???

Entry #61
My latest addition to the React catalogue. One of the defining Trance anthems (I hate that word) which still sounds interesting today. 2 singles that you bought separately....but you could combine together.....with the radio edit appearing in both of them (for chart purposes I guess). The 90's
Excellent, excellent addition to my collection. Trance could actually put you into trance back then.
-
Entry #60
The last cds of Lemon magazine. An era comes to end (soon to be followed by another one, Freeze magazine :)).
And the last cd offered was actually an album by Spacegoblins. Half of it is mediocre, slightly dark Psychedelic Trance tracks and the other half more goaish sounds (and slightly better). If this was a proper release probably you wouldn't care much to purchase but being a magazine offering it adds a bot more weight to it, especially for collectors.

Didn't the "Old is Gold" Goatrance releases contain some of the very first NewSchool Goatrance also?
Of course they did, I was wondering how no one had mentioned yet. I just don't know how back they go.

Entry #59
Let's skip the rest of the cds and go to the real stuff here. The compilation from Ceiba Records is a real beauty. They never released much stuff but I reckon this little disc is their best release ever. Honestly. If you only need one release from them this is the one to get. Available on Discogs

Then i have an earlier one IFO! xDDDDD
I disagree. Pleiadians sound is more structures and well thought out, whereas Crop Circles is more chaotic and random, just like NeoGoa
-
I would find very interesting the comments and thoughts of someone younger than us Someone that grew up with the NeoGoa and later found out about the oldschool Goa. See if they think there are differences and if yes what which exactly.

Nope, nothing to do with me. It is Kristian's personal choice. The campaign I run is my responsibility and mine alone. The £300 on Bandcamp is the only way to make a release unavailable digitally unfortunately. I understand that confuses a lot of people but I do not see any other way to sell only merch WITH digital files. Except if I made it private but then I would have a very blank page on Bandcamp, lol.
All pledges are appreciated, so close to the target now.
