  1. Posting this on facebook.

"WTF??? No unnecessary use of the knobs, no hands on the air, no dancing around to keep her hands steady and LOOKING DOWN all the time? Could that be....mixing??? I've heard tales about that but I didn't believe it was true. More like a legend told by an older generation to frighten us youngsters. I thought playing one really long audio file, prepared and mixed back at home was the only way to properly mix. It's madness I tell you.
IDIOTS. You know who you are."

  2. Ultimae is not doing bad, on the contrary. Changing direction to the more easily accepted Dub Techno Glitch genre they are actually doing better (as a record label and record store). I have given up on them years ago.

BTW, did you know RGB collection was to be released on Digital Reprints? Plans changed just before the Kickstarter was launched because Sidereal moved in offering to re-release the whole back catalog of Solar Fields. I was actually glad, they deserved a proper release. (Still struggling for Mirror's Edge :(

  3. While we wait for the Elysium digipacks to be printed I'm going to let you know for my Christmas gift to you :)

Next week I start another Kickstarter in time for Christmas. Going back to downtempo music the next featured artist will be Suns Of Arqa.

4 CDs filled exclusively with unreleased tracks and edits. Spanning 4 decades of music, starting as early as 1979 up to 2020.

Get ready, proper announcement soon :)

  4. Entry #63

Hado Records started with what a lot of people considered a big bang. A reprint of Zirrex's debut album. And they also upgraded into a 3xCD album as well. In my case however I didn't really care about his music much. If anything, the bonus disc is where all the magic happens. I think the purchase is worth it just for this 3rd disc.
Skipping his next album cause I don't understand what he was trying to do with that and landing on the 3rd release. Voyager: First Plateau. An excellent compilation, diverse and energetic Psychedelic Trance. Really, really good. However, I stopped following Hado after that coming to a realisation that I tried to suppress.

For the second time in my life, I am losing interest in the genre :(

I was wondering if you were still doing this. Felt like ages without an update.

Interchill is a very legit label. Low key and always on point.
    Good stuff indeed... +1

I feel that the initial releases of Interchill were pushing the boundaries a bit more and were willing to explore different sounds (considering the genre).

Do you catagorise your collection by label? Or was this organised for the post?

I categorise by label mainly. My collection is still not than expansive (less than 2000 discs) so it still works as a system. And you know, sometimes you want to listen to some good Goa but with nothing particular in mind, so you go to the Dragonfly catalogue and you are sorted :)

I am, but not with daily updates any more. Just the interchill catalogue would take too much time to do it individually ;)

Having only recently introduced to the solo projects of Son Kite/Minilogue duo, I instantly fell in love with the sounds of Markus. The mystical vibes his music emanates in conjunction with the techno rhythms just hit the perfect, sweet spot for me. And this is how my journey begins.

  9. Entry #62

Wow, I hadn't realised that Interchill Records is on the game for more than 2 decades. And with around 60 releases you know that they are doing something right.

Andrew Ross Collins proves with every release that he simply has a good taste in music. Crossing between ambient, dub and psychill every release is worth owning. They never saturated the marker with uninteresting or dull music, other labels have as many releases in a fraction of that time.

So, if any of you downtempo labels want to stay around for as long as Interchill start keeping notes.

P.S. Kaya Project was purposefully left out for he will get his own entry :)

  10. 145bpm from start to finish. I don't like that kind of sets.

Back in the days of Goa in most of the cases you were expecting the DJ to deliver some unreleased tunes. That was (is) one of the main thing making someone qualify as professional DJ. The other is transition skills and flow/crowd connection. Nowdays that really doesn't happen. Artists keep all the unreleased tracks for themselves, because nothing is kept "unreleased" in the days of the internet. Another reason is that artists don't make money any more from album sales so they "need" to promote their persona as DJ in order to at least get something back.

    Just quick thoughts.

  11. Once again, I am here only for the art and I am extremely happy that this project concluded successfully as well. One of the big names of the original Goa Trance era and by the looks of it his last release as Elysium?

As always you are correct. Although I will have to keep a file with all the orders I have after the Kickstarter ended, lol.

Congrats Thanos for reaching the goal! Any idea when this will come out?

Thank you :) The estimated shipping days were October and November for the normal and signed version respectively.

It takes 3 weeks for the funds to clear at which point you will receive your Bandcamp download code. We started working on the cover and after it is finished we will send the files to the printing factory. The printing process takes about 3 weeks. So essentially, the unknown factor is how fast we are going to end up with a cover we like :)

    Anything else, let me know.
