New update of the PDF, you can download the new version.
Here is the list of changes that have been made:
- Update of definitions for Psychedelic Trance (first page), Goa Trance and Psybient
- Some albums replacements
-
It's ok for Ozric tentacles, I've replaced "Arborescence" by "Erpland".
I also took the opportunity to update the definition of Psybient as well as that of Goa Trance and Psychedelic Trance.
-
Can you please give examples or recommendations for 'psychedelic techno' artists who only perform in the techno scene?
I don't know artists only in this style but I know some of them that have made some Psychedelic Techno like Wolfgang Voigt or Acronym
-
Should add these gems too :

I don't know if Psychedelic Techno (as a Techno genre) exists.
It exists. That's why I think we shouldn't add this term in the definition.
-
Ozric Tentacles – Arborescence should not be included in the Psybient group in my opinion. They are pioneers in Space Rock.
They're pioneers in Psybient too because they use psybient in their music
Psy Tech is also called Psychedelic Techno. You can mention that in the guide too.
Nope, sorry. Psychedelic Techno isn't Psy Tech. "Psychedelic Techno" is Techno with a research of psychedelism, but their is no Psytrance blends, while Psy Tech is Tech Trance blended with Psytrance
But maybe am I wrong. Others, what do you think about this ?
-
Totally indescribable
In fact that's Psy Tech but the kick-bass remind me so much the Early Hardstyle's "reverse bass". A kind of massive sound blended with psytrance. Combo breaker.
What about Funk ?
Synthwave + Psychedelism = hell yeah

Wintersun and Insomnium.
Wintersun is a blend of Melodic Death Metal and Symphonic Power Metal in its epicest form while Insomnium is a deeper and moodier album that balance between sadness and epicness.
For me this guys has made the best Melodic Death Metal albums ever made. No more no less. -

I know I said that the updates and additions would be terminated but upon reflection it seemed to me useful to add Psy Tech in the sub-styles list

simply goa trance imho. there was no progressive back then in 1997
When I spoke about "Progressive Goa Trance" I simply meant a blend of "Goa Trance" and "Progressive Trance"
-
This IS progressive psytrance

Thank you! I already saw this "psytrance in its entirety" thread - it helped me to understand what is psycore, what is darkpsy and what is forest psy (I don't like ether of them but at least now I know that they all are different ) and it also has lots of cool graphics I will investigate this thread further.
Don't hesitate to come and ask questions on "The Psychedelic Trance, in its entirety" thread. I'll answer with pleasure if I have the necessary knowledge

I had to make a forced choice, but honestly the Cybernetika's and Xenofish's tracks transcend to the same pinnacle. Seriously, these guys come straight from another dimension. Absolutely untouchable.
Votes:
1: Cybernetika - Prismatic Reflection
2: Xenofish - Made Out Of Stars
3: Imba - Serbian 604 Revolution
4: Mellow Sonic - Psychokinesis
5: BlackStarrFinale - Siege Of Phobos
6: Nebula Meltdown - Didgeridreams
7: Osman DEMON - The Calling
8: Profetia - Rage Against the Crashing
9: The Mule - Numinous
10: Red Eye Syndrome - Desert Trip

Very nice work, great colours. But why is Silent Enemy Psycore? BPM are "just" 154.
Psycore isn't only characterized by a fast BPM but also by its aesthetics.
So we can also find it around 150 BPM but kick-bass is different than classic Darkpsy.

I'm currently in the process of rethinking in detail all of the translation of the English version with someone very competent and with a great mastery of different variations of the English language according to English-speaking countries (EN, US, AU, ...). I can't give you a date for the moment but we are working seriously to improving this translation. I'll let you know when it will be ready.
The Psychedelic Trance, in its entirety
in General Psytrance
