hello folks
i recently randomly bumped into this project i had never heard about before
the album was uploaded on youtube a few days ago
to my surprise it sounds really good - i mean this project is totally unknown to me

i really like tracks 1 and 2 especially
i checked discogs and the guy released another album in 2004 but i have not listened to it
curious to hear your thoughts about this darkish sound

i used to get angry about the same thing too some time ago, but let's face it: people are tasteless and incredibly stupid (even more so when in large groups or on alcohol (also other substances to some degree)), but you cannot give them a better taste or make them more intelligent. your choices are either getting frustrated and feeling angry because of them, or thinking "they want to eat shit, let them eat shit!". )
i know plenty of smart people who likes this kind of music
sure the music on the video is really crap for me but i dont agree with the way you stereotype the people who like it

i downloaded the files in wave format a while ago like two months ago or so - i thought it was released already?
i cant find where but i am sure there was a thread on psynews with a link...anyway did i download the wrong files then (masteringless or something)?

as for my personal opinion - i am perfectly fine with the fact that psytrance is not a popular genre
i mean with the internet nowadays you can get your music easily so no big deal
it was a problem in the mid nineties when you had to listen to the radio and expect some rare psytrance at midnight on obscure channels - or go to rave parties
but now with the internet it is fine and really easy to access
only problem is for people who would like to attend to psytrance parties every week end
i think the biggest audiences prefer dance music focused on groovy basslines rather than psychedelic sounds

i think thats what op meant - looks like he was banned - but i think he meant artists who released only one big track with the rest of their discography being much inferior
its all subjective but for me katayma spiral spit trikk is one
moog euromotors posted above is also a good example

i think the style is overused
the scene has already been full of decent tracks like this for over five years
not terrible but not great either and definitely nothing innovative here
most tracks lack proper personality and sound like a copy of each other which is a pity - a few enjoyable tracks though
thanks anyway for the hard work but not for me this one

- the hux flux track does not sound like hux flux but it is spectacular
- why was it never released before?
- i love the deviant electronics track but at the same time i am so disappointed because the track sounds dirty - it is a nice morning track but the sound quality is poor
i am not blaming the person who did the mastering as i know he is very competent - i just guess the original file was in very poor quality and no one can do miracles but anyway that is a pity because i love the track it sounds like old x-dream when they made morning trance
i dont love every track on this compilation but i really like what dat records is doing and i really appreciate the variety in everything released on this label
keep up the hard work and thanks a lot for every killer release the last few years
