  1. So, after re-reading Lost Buddha's @ Jul 30 2006 comment, I thought about something else... All of the Korg 'virtual' analog stuff has been great - the Prophecy, the EA-1, MS2000. You really can't go wrong there.
  2. Hey! Do you plan on having your releases go digital (ie - iTunes?)
  3. Sorry.... =) I guess the better way to put it is you'll have a hell of a lot more money, but as the money continues to grow, so does what you want. =)
  4. Dude, don't worry - I'm 28 and I still never have enough money! =)
  5. Yea, Labyrinth was - it essentially sounds like - a bunch of reject songs from the Matrix. The album has moments, but... falls flat for me.
  6. I totally agree.... I've been hardware for years, but what I have seen with soft as of late blows me away. Put both in the mix and I think there is a killer production studio - boy, I've been missing out.
  7. Very nice - I'm totally sold on what I have been reading / seeing / hearing, I really need to move to Software.... Thanks dude.
  8. Whoa! Talk about a rundown. =) I'm gonna check out some of these right now. Tx!
  9. So, you have a MK3... For a long time, I had a MK1 just sitting around, as well as an Octave Cat. Turned out I was using the Cat more than the MK1, so I sold off the MK1. Eventually the Cat went as well. The good ole days.
  10. Very nice on the Odyssey, 101 and the cs1x. =) What version of the Odyssey do you have?
  11. Hi, I'm not sure what one would call it..... it's electronic / along the line of older cosmic baby / but let me put some tracks up. Give me a few days. =) As for making goa/psy - I don't know why, I just never could get the sound right..... (but I keep tryin)
  12. Well, again, great work! I'll head over to KVRAudio to check around. Thanks for everything. Cheers!
  13. Gotta love the Ableton - Meat Beat Manifesto had a remix comp a few months back with them, but didn't get around to doing anything with it. Do you have the "desktop" version of the Virus? I remember hearing that the Virus had a emulated moog filter - what's that about? later!
  14. I wish we had more gatherings like this in IL.... do they do this every year?
  15. I love Moog gear (and I really like their new FX pedal series) but the Voyager just don't cut in in Psy. Yes, the filter is amazing, and it's great for the FX Shelling out the 2K for the unit hurts for simply using it on FX. Actually, on thing that I was thinking of picking up (when they come out) is the Little Phatty. I have the same fear, that it won't fit into my music quite well.... Cheers!
  16. Very nice on the Virus and Nord. =) The MAM MKII is a nice unit (I have one) if you use it as it's own thing - in no way does it come off like a 303. There is one unit on the market (that you would have to by second hand) that sounds spot on for a 303 and that is - Syntecno TeeBee . If you can find one, you will not regret it! -V
  17. Do you have any tracks I can listen to - I've been toying around with the idea of software as of late.
  18. Very very nice stuff. How do you like the Voyager? I never had luck with it doing goa.

    I am angry

Hey Elysium - can you give me a PM, I would like to discuss something off this thread. Tx
  20. I couldn't agree with this more... All of my studio is hardware - no use of softsynths. I don't know, for me - there is just something about sitting down and turning a knob or moving a slider that can't replace a mouse. That is not to say I have something against them, a tool is just a tool, I just never took the time to mess around with it. I've used some FX plugins on Protools and they sounded awsome for audio processing, but still love my old hardware... Cheers.
  21. Greetings, So, after reading over a few posts, I get the feeling that a lot of people on the boards are using softsynths.. and a few using hardware. Here is what my studio setup has; Wavestation, EA1, X5Dr Juno 106 & 2 TR 909 and 808, TB 303 EMU Vintage Keys Waldorf Pulse and a load of outboard gear... What do you all use, and what is your fav one thing you tend to go to? Cheers!
  22. Hi! I've got the track playing right now - I really like the FX you have in the beginning going over the sample (the phase and what sounds like a frequency analyzer). I also really like the choice of sounds you use that kick in around 2:15 - what are you using to create that? Better yet, what does your studio consist of? The atmosphere of the track is sweet, and the production is top notch. Great work! Cheers! r8dnt1
  23. Review: Sorry, I don't call that Goa ! That's why I don't like this album ... Don't like Tracks 2,3,4,5,8 and 9 at all ... Rating : 2/10 482181[/snapback] I wouldn't call it GOA as I know GOA to be today either, but I would say it is trance...but it depends on what "glasses" you are viewing the album with. I think many other people have stated what I am about to, so sorry for the repeat - When I got the promo from NovaMute back in the day (I was in radio at the time) this was one of the more unique things I had ever gotten (not to mention the Orb too) Sure, you listen to this today and you can say "meh" but you need to remember this was around the time of really borderline "techno"... This was an album that pushed the edge, and made others push their music to a new level as well. This is no question in my mind that this album was something special at the time and it great to revisit once and awhile.
