ritual om: I hope you like it :)

  4. Over 8 main galactic melodies???

I just heard the samples! This is really good!

But songs like Domestic_Modulator fade out mulitple times during the sample and then the music comes back, and I did read your site, but showing parts of one song during a sample of one song actually hurts the overall feel and listeing experience of a rather great, melodic song, because it cuts off right when you're getting into it. I hope the samples on psyshop show one straight, unedited part of the song, because you're songs are melodic and catchy enough to please most full-on, melodic, psy fans! Believe that, this is something that sounds good.

I guess I only wish there was a dark song with lots of atmosphere, melodies, a sense of being somewhere visual and such, but that doesn't seem to blend in well with the theme or style of this first album. And regardless, I like what I've heard.

I totally have a thing for catchy, well, layers and layers of CATCHY melodies, and track 6 on Asura's new album is soooo catchy. Not just a bunch of sounds, but rhythm, creating cool, lush waves of melodies and tunes.

Remember. Ambitious, imaginative, creative, original, different, melodic, breaking formula's, cool direction changes within the same song, those are all cool.

But CATCHY is key to a songs success

I am very interested so far! I hope it is one really good or great album! I hope there isn't one weak or decent track! Also, I hope there is an interesting build-up, not just a bunch of tunes but rather before the tunes start, there is an interesting introduction before the tracks, like Juno Reactor and AP's earlier stuff and like most stuff in general, they have these interesting opening beginning parts, but I believe that the case is similar here as well. Anyway, good luck!, and please fix those samples when it comes down to sampling the tracks on main sites like psyshop so that none of the potential buyers are confused. :D

    take care!

    200447

    Yepp..teasers big time :P

  5. I'm sure there's tons of people who'd like nothing better than getting back those old-school sounds. I know I would. If you like that too then go for it, a musician should do what he likes, not what's in fashion.

    199584

Seems everyone here atleast likes that sound :)

Of course I do the music I like, I dont care about the fashion one bit (if you hear my tracks, you will probably notice that i take distance from the regular Full On sound)

I didn't buy the 303 just to have it there collecting dust, but to use if of course :)

I just wanted to see if people are feed up with that sound..seems not :)

Mindtwister: Man tackar :) (means thank you in swedish, for the non swedes)

BTW: Filteria album out in the end of November...Full info tommorow :)

  6. Hello all :)

Yesterday i got myself a TB-303.. What an evil kick ass sound..

Then i started to think about something..Where did all the 303-sounds go?? If I use a 303 in one of my tracks, people will be like :o

It got like a fashion to disslike it..Is there anyone today in our secene using it?? Why did it dissapear?

I can't forget the old days with all this kickass tracks with lots of screaming 303 (not to mention Green nuns of the revolution, which i persnoally associate with the 303-sound. And i am pretty sure everone like/liked the Green nuns :))..Don't people miss that sound?

  7. Lovely spirit there Filteria, just how it should be! 2-track down to DAT/CD, loads of hardware, live tweaking and human automation =)

    199085

    :D

lol, human automation..but thats true indeed :)

For me there are 2 cons by harddisc recordning.

    1. It takes soooo much time, so it kills the creativity (at least for me). You have to stop every 30 seconds to record..I want to keep moving with the track while the ideas are in the head.

    2. Even with a motu 2408 mkIII, which is a very good sound card, i feel like some of the high frequencies and the bottom freq somehow changes.. Its not the exactly same dirty sound that left the output of the mixer table..Very strange..Its always when i record weird effect sounds with lots of resonance this happens..Otherwise it works perfectly...And yes i do record in 24 bits when i do so..

So no harddisc recordning for me B)

  8. Hello all :)

    Computer & Related stuff:

Mac G4 Dual 1.25 GHZ (Very stable)

    Motu 2408 MK III soundcard

    Emagic Unitor-8 Midi-Interface

Logic Audio Platinum 5.5 with EXS24 (Should upgrade it any time soon)

    Mixer:

    Mackie 32*8

    Monitors:

    Alesis M-1 Active

    Recordning:

    Philips CDR 560 CD-Recorder

    Synths:

    Access Virus B

    Doepfer MS-404

    Korg Mono/Poly

Korg MS-20 (Nothing can scream like it, for me one of the most unique synth ever)

    Korg MS-2000r

    Nordlead 2

    Novation BasStation

    Roland Juno-106

Roland Jupiter-6 (Lovely for distortion sounds, pads and strings)

    Roland SH-101 (Bass & Kicks)

    Roland XV-3080, 2 expansions, Vintage & FX

Waldorf Q (This synth is my favourite, i wouldn't trade it for the world:))

    Boss Turbo Distortion DS-2

    DBX 120XP (Subharmonic Synthesizer)

    DBX 166XL

    T.C Electronics D-2

    T.C Electronics Finalizer 96K

    T.C Electronics Fireworx

    TL Audio C-1

Actually i am not hardisc recordning much into the computer..expect for the old analogue machines (hard to recreate the exactly same sound, and you are only able to use one sound if don't hardisc record them)..The rest is live to 2-track (into the cd)...Pretty much like the old days ;)

  9. naaah they were talking about an album and cities of the future is neither an album nor trance for oldskoollovers ;)

they said they want to release an album in september/october and after that they are thinking about the "linkin park" stuff

    i'm 100% sure about that ;)

    196262

That is what i've been saying all time :D missunderstanding..Cities of the future will be on the album..i thought you saw the samples..

    http://www.chaosunlimited.co.uk/cgi-bin/pr...p?LR=RESISTCD10

The new album.. The one "for the oldschool" lovers.. i am ironic all the time because it doesnt sound like music for oldschool lovers...After this http://www.chaosunlimited.co.uk/cgi-bin/pr...p?LR=RESISTCD10 album it will be linkin park style....anyway enough of this :P

PS: i answered to your question about the spaceport track

  10. u missunderstood him

he said: the next album will be only trance for the oldskool lovers and the album after the next album will be totally different ;)

    196258

    looking again..

    Quoting from the film:

Erez: Now in May there is a new single..called bla bla and in september hopefully the new cd will be out

Duv: And the next infected album not the one coming now will be completly not trance album..More singing, linkin park bla bla..Now its full on trance album that come this year...

so i think they mean the one now..anyway, i just wanted to post the link..that's all.

    Chhers :D

  11. Well the next album (not this with city of the future) will have even more singing and they will try to get a sound like Linkin Park..

Now you think i am talking bull and you are probably laughing..but Duvdev said this.. take a look yourselfs:

    http://www.tribe13.tv/tribetv005.php (first part)

http://www.tribe13.tv/tribetv005.php (Second part) (in this part he says that)

And also the new album is meant to be for the oldschool lovers (accordning to them)..

  12. Man, those transwave albums are beyond...Still today top 5..

My list will be something like (in no order)

    Pleiadians - IFO

    Pleiadians - Family Of Light

    Transwave - Helium

    Transwave - Phototropic

    Etnica - Alien Protein

Astral Projection - Trust in Trance

Hmm, when i think of it, almost everything from 96-97...

And two tracks which should be in everyones collection..

Shakta - Lepton Head 3 (Deedrah Remix)

    Etnica - Vimana

About Transwaves Hypnorythm EP..it sounds transwave, but not as much as Helium. They really got their sound when they made Rezwalker which was released on 12" just before Helium..Hypnorythm EP is a good album, but don't come close to Helium or Phototropic...for me at least :)

  13. Stuff: lol :D

I am studying to become a sound-engineer, so i am pretty much working with music everyday (mostly i do the music at night)..I work 2-3 times a week to have some money...

I have lots of inpiration right now (mostly because of the freaking awesome party in Belgium with the maddest crowd i've ver seen) so I do spend lots of time behind the synths these days..

It is important to be said that when you have inspiration everything comes "naturaly".. everything is much easier, more fun (sounds like a commercial about inspiration or something:)) and the melodies that you have in your head (sometimes very hard to translate it to music) comes easly down to the fingers so you can record whatever is on your mind..If the inspiration is not there, well I personally don't make music then and wait untill something exciting happens to get inspired again...So now that the inspiration is there, you shouldn't let it pass by..Tomorrow everything might be gone

Hmm, hope this make any sense :D

Thanx Koolaid! I will write something there and hope for the best.. Never been in the UK before..Would be nice :))

    Cheers / Filteria

  14. In 5 months :D (November as i said before)

The tricky part is which tracks to release since there will only be 7 tracks (maximum 8) because of the length of the tracks (almost all the tracks are between 9-10 minutes)...

    BTW:

I am posting this about the extracts-updates since people here told me to write when i update the site..i don't mean to tease anyone or something like that...

Anyway in November full length album and in October 2 tracks on the Tranceform compilation "Flurotronik"
