Thank you all *blushes*. I hope I will be able to meet your expectations
Really great stuff, both the KoB style and the new Filteria, huge stuff.
I just have a question? Will KoB's Those Talking Machines e These Talking Walls will ever see the light?
The first one (that is a great atmospheric track) was supposed to be released in a Stone Age compilation last year, but I knew nothing about it after it was announced.
What about the other one, will it ever be released?
Those Talking Machines will get released on the Stone Age compilation: Nordic Mythology, and if for some reason they dont release that compilation, then that track have defenetly a spot on my K.O.B. album (One of my favourites K.O.B. tracks). As for the These Talking Walls: there are i think 6 remixes now. One of them will be on the album. I have to finish the Filteria album first before I finish all the K.O.B. stuff.
Take care / Jannis

Hello psynewers :posford:
Back from Aurora which was a blast and will finish the third Filteria album.
On Filteria @ Myspace you can hear 4 of the tracks that will be on the third album + a live remix of Birds Lingua Franca. Also some new pics
Also, there is a K.O.B. myspace with 4 unreleased tracks. Here
Feedback is welcome on tracks etc.

Nice. What track is being played in this video?
The track is called: The Big Blue and will be on the new Filteria album. I've uploaded an extract at www.myspace.com/filteria + a shitloads of other stuff
As for the festival itself, I had a great time. I met alot of nice people and the whole Ultimae family which are the sweetest people you can imagine. Solar Fields was great, Asura aswell. Actually everything i heard on the Ambient stage was great As for the mainstage, I can't say too much since I barely spent any time there. But playing there was great fun with a great energy on the dancefloor :posford:
End of the set:

I really like some heavily gay music from 80's like Pet Shop Boys, Erasure, Soft Cell, Depeche Mode and New Order.
I also like pretty much everything by the Neptunes, BT and Timbaland. Even stuff they did for Britney Spears and N'Sync.
Depeche Mode and New Order gay? All those 80s bands are kickas
As for myself, I am truly a 80's sucker. So all the above + 100 more of the 80's bands. As for Guilty pleasure: that should be Modern Talking (now thats gay) , Sade, George Michael (who has a great voice), Queen.. I could continue all day. And Alpha blondy rocks!

ok, I am curious then, I am tired of the old same same style of you, but one of your new tracks sounded great on the trancefloor! I hope the rest will be the same style
Which track was that? When did i play it and where?

Thanx everyone
Rino: I believe I do have "some new, yet unheard trick to show u"
There are some big differences between the third Filteria and Sky Input/Heliopolis. U will see what when its released
Anyway, thanx for your support

Hi there
Long time no see. Hope everyone is doing alright. After moving to a new place and having to rebuild the studio, is everything finally set, and up and running Pics of the new studion: http://www.filteria.com/site/?page=studio
The third Filteria album is taking shape. Maybe it will be ready with 3-4 months. I have 5 tracks which are more or less finished and
that I am really happy with.
As for the K.O.B. album, it should have been released by now. But as you can see, this is not the case.
To be truly hounest its ready, but I am not not satisfied with it. I decided to rework the tracks or create new ones
untill I am happy. I have to postpone the album. I have no idea yet, but I guess it will be released within a year or so.
As for the remix album. Maybe Suntrip will open an onlineshop. Otherwise I have no idea what's up. My main focus is the third Filteria
and the K.O.B. album.
Thats all I think.
Have a great 2008 with good health and lots of happiness :posford:

Downloading aswell. I had the chance to play with Ali in Turkey and it was a very nice set he gave. Good luck mate

I am speechless. Its truly amazing. I haven't been this excited for a while. Nothing but respect for Benji, Simon and all the other musicians in the making of this masterpiece!

Yeah, I was there to. Actually Max never played Trip Tonite, but neverless the Pleiadians live-set was massive. With Photonik, delirum and the alcyone remix (which still is unreleased for some reason ) and some other. Max was dancing like a mad man (as you can see ) and took over after the Pleiadians set for a 3 hour dj-set (and the clip is from the djset). I think that samothraki was the best festival i've been to

I had a long chat with Kris after my set in Konemetsä in Finland. Very cool dude. He said it will only be him making the new UX album. I told him: if you are thinking of turning this to some kind of full-on, then better don't start this project at all and he seemed to understand what i meant and said this was not the case. I think it will be agressive, but i except to see alot of industri and noise influences there aswell as some guitars. This is his style. Neverless, i believe it will be very fresh as he is a very talented musician. He was actually more than Brain Filter. He also made music under Syb Unity Network where he made some excellent tracks such as space puppy and sun invaders..
As for Pete Martin who was/is also an excellent musician. He makes more than house today. He is also behind some pop projects. Can't remember what Kris said since i was abit wasted..
Last but not least: a funny detail. There is a sample in the master of the universe album which "jumps". And its the same in the vinyl. This was from a "shitty and boring" sample cd as kris said. So he took out his keys, scratched the whole cd, played the fucked up voice from all the "jumping" and sampled it. And it fitted perfectly
Anyway, enough of babbling. have a good night

lovely watch, thx!
wasn't one of the tracks from Rock Bitch Mafia album?
pretty excellent for '94 <3
yeah, track 3: Conflict

Kickass!
Boinky boinky
BTW: I think that the room they are decoring is from the night when Transwave played (Rezwalker - London Live Remix). The desk with the computer in the middle and the equipment around looks like the picture inside Helium. I might be wrong though..

Yep, I second that. At least concerning the Sky Input album ... actually all songs on it sound damn energetic to me so that it fits the description of flying through the universe at insane speeds...
I am not too big of a fan of these in-your-face energy blasts though. It's a good treatment when you got headache (Filteria's first album has now officially gained the status for being THE headache killer for me), but under normal conditions this is nuking my brain, it's too intense. While dancing I am a fan of intense sounds, but at home I prefer a more subtle way that things should go...
Older Matenda is a perfect example of how I like things when it comes to the term "energetic". While at first listen these songs are nothing that special there reveals a deeper, constant energy flow, a kind of gentle but steady pressure behins everything, something energetic yet subtle ... something actually very genious.
It lies in the bassline. I guess the bassline actually defines the energy level for a song for me...
Other, different (un-subtle ) examples of really damn energetic songs are Atmos - So Nice You Name It Twice and Space Buddha - Acid Prophecy (the most energetic fullon song I know - and I like it!)...
LOOOOOOL You made my day. Maybe we can start selling CD's at the drugstore It will kill your headache
As for intense music:
Total Eclipse - Can't Do that
Pleiadians - Electra
Green nuns - two vindaloos.. (the ending there)
Crop Circles - Lunar Civilization
Elixir - Furious
-
My father thinks its just bombombom
My mother on the other hand is a goafan (actually very close to my taste)
Astral Projection - Kabalah & Ionized
Chakra - Liquid Troll
Pleiadians - Alcyone
Etnica - Mystical Apearance in Goa
Shpongle - Behind Closed Eyelids
She enjoy melodies, but can't stand when its to much noises everywhere
Actually nowdays, ever since Heliopolis came out she has been listening to it everyday (i can't believe that she isn't tired of it yet ) to work and from work.. And no, she doesn't say/do this to be nice to me. She didn't like the tracks on Sky Input, but still was very supportive

Are you Filteria from Suntrip Records? If yes, what are you saying? Ever heard your own breaky music? Your music is the most climaxic and energy breaky of all old school I ever heard, don't get me wrong, I love the music, but for creating a trance? no, no no... hard dance experience, yes...
Oh come on, you compare my music with that i wrote? "there is drumrool, you think it will kick off, new break, drumrool again, drumrool continues, continues, sample, new break. music for 10 seconds" ?? Point out ONE moment like that in one of my tracks.
I know i have breaks to introduce melodies and that my music is energetic. But the breaks these producers have are nothing but annoying and fill no function. Nothiing new is introduced. Also, you cant even have a hard dance experience if you so wanna call it with this "breaky full-on", because it stops you every 10 seconds

Yesterday I was at a party. Mostly Full-On music. I am not too found of that (diversity is a good thing i think), but i said to myself, lets have a good time. I was in the mood for dancing. I tried, I really really tried. But how is it possible to dance to something that has break every 10 seconds? There are more breaks than "actuall music" going. You dance for 10 seconds, and then there is a new break. If you have some form of climax, there is drumrool, you think it will kick off, new break, drumrool again, drumrool continues, continues, sample, new break. music for 10 seconds.. and... ARGH!!! yes repeat again.
Some of todays producers might not be aware that this is dancemusic. The purpose is to get into trance or atleast let the music be dancefriendly. In my book its neither one of them. In the beggining of full-on genre there was not this many breaks. Quit funny that its getting worse..
Have u ever managed to come into trance with Full-on music (this "breaky form")? I am really curious.
I am not pointing out any artists or anything, since there is good fullon music outthere. But ffs, why all these breaks every second bar? Do they have any function?
Beeh
EDIT: typos

Hi everyone. I am happy to see people enjoyd the Heliopolis album Thanx for voting. I hope 2007 will bring us some nice music and a good psychedelic year! Also, look out for my sideproject K.O.B. (album will be out out in a few months). Hope u will enjoy it as much as i do making it

I'll buy it anyway, the only question is 'when'? I've got 2 gigs coming in next 3 weeks (one with Haltya... so I'm counting on this stuff, get it on the market asap
I've been listening to samples from Pure Planet 2 and frankly speaking, I wasn't too impressed by Filterias tracks... I recognized him by the first few samples, so yes, I agree with Ukiro, it's time to go to the next level and releasing the same sound would hurt Jannis' and Suntrip's reputation.
On the other hand, having some 8-9 tracks released with almost no effort is the best possible solution for the fans and for Jannis himself. Well, is there any effort? Like mastering? I'm sure there is but not as much as for a physical CD.
Thanx again for doing this and, again, I'm looking forward to lossless
I agree with you about the Pure Planet 2 tracks. Without defending myself, these tracks are now over 2 (soon 3) years old. My sound has changed/matured alot since the Sky Input days. Kagdila contacted me about these tracks i think in early 2005
And yes, I strongly feel its time to move on. However, on gigs, there will be stuff like before (especially in the end of the set )
Is there any effort on this release? To be honest, not as much as on a physical CD, but ofcourse there is some. Mastering for instance But afterall, this is an unofficial CD, so it doesn't get as much attention as a real one. But that should be pretty obvious, no?
Thanx for support / Jannis Filteria

Yahel's covers
Other than that, I would say software.. I mean to have the same production (compression and eq settings), plugins and even the same samplebanks as 60% of the scene (if not more) . Doesn't these artists get bored? I seriously wonder...
